LOGINVanassa pov:
The past few days, the pack house has been a mess, and the Luna is trying to manage everything and put things in order. The alpha has been having constant meetings with the elders, demanding to know what Damian plans to do about the new development. Honestly, I actually hope things work out between Sofia and Damian. But given what I've done to her, I'm not sure I'll ever be forgiven. I can't stand Princess Beth; she's super mean. A few times, she's tried to take out her anger on me, trying to play games with me. But I made her understand that I'm not someone to be messed with. Things haven’t been easy since I got demoted, and I can't help but wonder if maybe I went too far in my anger. I wasn't always like this. Everything changed when I heard my parents argue one night about how my father was going to leave my mother and me for Sofia’s mother. She's my half-sister. When I found out my father was actually going to leave, abandoning my mom and me for her, I was so angry and jealous. Everyone thinks my father doesn't like Sofia or is ashamed of her, but the truth is, he loves her a lot and always protects her in his own way. My grandmother, before she died, Sofia was her entire world. A few times, when I visited, she didn't even pay me any attention. When I asked her, she'd say, "Vanessa, child, you have a father and mother who love you and give you all the attention. Sofia has no one except me, so it's only natural that I give her my full love and attention." That added to my anger, and I took it out on Sofia. Sometimes, I wonder if I could have done things differently. My wolf, Vespera, hasn't been in support of my treatment towards Sofia, telling me I might regret my actions one day. The fact that she's suffering from something she didn’t do hurts a lot, because she never really supported my treatment. She's always been protective of Sofia, and now she's suffering because of me. I haven't shifted into my wolf for a few months now, and it's seriously affecting her, she barely talks anymore. I was about to enter my room when I heard my name being called from behind. I turned around and found Tracy and Taftney walking towards me. My heart skipped a beat; they haven’t spoken to me in a while. I waved at them, smiling, and asked how they were doing. But they still had cold expressions on their faces. Taftney said, "We just wanted to talk to you one last time before we leave." I was shocked. "Where are you going? What's going on?" Tracy explained, "Our punishment is ending in a week, and after that, we're moving to our grandparents' pack to start over." I looked at them, stunned. "You're leaving me? We've always been friends..." Tracy cut me off saying. "Vanessa, you've never considered us your friends. We were your minions, you command us to do things for you. You treated us like slaves, snapping your fingers and expecting us to jump." Taftney added, "We did things we didn't want to do, Vanessa, because we thought we were holding onto the childhood memory of being friends. But you've changed. You almost killed your own sister." I didn't realize I was crying until I touched my cheek and felt the wetness. Tracy and Taftney looked at me with a mix of sadness and pity. "We've already asked Sofia for forgiveness, and she forgave us," they said. "Maybe if you talk to your sister and apologize, she might forgive you too. You need to bring your pride down, Vanessa. You're not shifting, and it's affecting you." Their words hit home. I felt a pang of regret and longing for the old days. "I've always considered you two my friends," I said, my voice shaking. "I'm going to miss you guys so much. I'm sorry for the way I've been treating you. It wasn't my intention to hurt you." Tracy's expression softened. "Whatever it is, you have to work on it, Vanessa. Get your sister to forgive you. You have to change, for yourself, for Sofia, and for us."She said, "I don't want to be your mistress, Damian. You promised..." I said, "Beth,I don't know why you've been so difficult." She said, "It's the pregnancy hormones. I need you now more than ever. I feel alone, being pregnant and alone in everything. My father cares more about the political privilege this brings him than me." I felt guilty because it's true – her father has never shown concern for her, only what he gains from it I said to her, "Look, I'm sorry I haven't been there for you, and I will make it up to you. I'm going to be there for you throughout this pregnancy and after. I'll be very involved in my child's life, and I'll make sure you're well taken care of." She replies, "Do you know that I'm a princess of Bearmont? No elite will want to marry me because I've given birth." I told her, "Anyone who truly loves you will marry you regardless. You shouldn't think too deeply about it. Maybe, who knows, you might actually find your destined mate very soon." Mention
Damian pov: I watched Sofia heading towards the park house to have a conversation with her father, and I was really worried about her. I suggested following her, but she insisted that it's something she needed to handle alone. It's true, her parents kept it from her that Linda wasn't her mother for so long, and she spent all her life trying to gain her mother's attention and love, not knowing that the woman she desperately wanted love from was not her mother. I've always had my suspicions that Linda wasn't her mother because there was no resemblance between them. But I just felt maybe some kids don't look like both their parents, they look like just one of the parents. Sofia has a few features that she inherited from her dad, same with Vanessa. I decided to reach out to Storm and ask him why he wasn't bonding with Albaz the same way I was bonding with Sofia. He said it wasn't that easy, he needs to earn Albaz’s trust, that Albaz has a bit of trust issues, that he wasn't ready
I took it, and he kissed my forehead, pulling me into a hug. "How did you sleep?" he asked, concern in his voice. "Good," I said, smiling. "No dreams." We chatted for a bit, and when I finished my coffee, he said, "Mom sent an omega to bring this Tonic for you. Said to take it before training." I took the offered container and saw the label. "Oh, that's so sweet of her," I said, remembering telling his mom about my nightmares. Damian nodded. "She said it'll help you relax and sleep better." I took a spoonful, and we headed out together, walking towards the training ground We arrived at the training ground to find Mark and Josh already there, warming up. Some pack members were training, while others were arriving. Josh walked over, a teasing grin on his face. "Wow, you two finally decided to grace us with your presence," he said, walking towards Damian. "Good morning, Alpha." Damian rolled his eyes. "Cut it out, Josh." Josh turned to me. "Good morning, Luna." I smi
Sofia pov: A woman held two lifeless children, her body wracked with sobs. I felt her pain, her anguish, as if it were my own. The air was thick with the weight of grief, and I couldn't breathe. People surrounded her, their faces etched with sorrow. A man stood above her, his eyes cold and unyielding. "It's your fault," he spat. "You made me do this." The woman held the children tighter, her screams echoing in my mind. "How could you!" she wailed. Someone approached her, trying to take the children away. She held them tighter, her body shaking with sobs. "No, don't take them!" she screamed, her voice raw and broken. I jolted awake, my heart racing, and my body drenched in sweat. It was just a dream, I told myself, but the pain lingered. I'd had this dream every night for the past week, and I still had no idea what it meant. I asked my wolf, but she just said, "With time, you'll understand." I didn't know what she meant, but the dreams kept coming. And I never saw anyon
After shopping, we headed to my family's residence, where Dani's parents joined us for dinner. The evening was pleasant, and we finalized the engagement ceremony and wedding plans. Two days later, my father called me into his office. I thought it was about the wedding, but I was wrong. "Bethnie, how are things going?" he asked, his expression unreadable. "Fine, Father. The wedding preparations are going perfectly well." "Are you happy about the whole thing?" he asked, his eyes glinting. I hesitated, unsure where this was going. "Yes, I'm happy. Thank you for accepting us." He smiled, a cold glare in his eyes. "I accepted because you'll never end up with him." Confusion washed over me. "What do you mean?" "I only said yes to all this to bring you back home, to make you let your guard down," he said, his voice dripping with malice. My bear was rising to the surface, and I knew I had to get out of her before i really kill this man. "There's no way I'll let you ma
Beth pov: Things haven't been going according to plan. Everything's going the opposite way. Damian hasn't accepted me or the child I'm carrying, and I don't know what to do. I've put in so much effort, and I can't let that good-for-nothing Omega mate of his ruin it all. I paced back and forth, wondering what my next move should be. The stakes are high, and I'm not ready to lose everything. Not because of some weak and useless Omega. I was beginning to wonder what was taking my father so long. He was supposed to meet me in my room to discuss our next plan. I called my guard, and he came in. "Where's my father?" I asked. "He's attending a council meeting, but he'll be here any minute," he replied. A few minutes later, the door opened, and my father walked in. The look in his eyes - hate and disappointment - told me things had gone bad. He sat down, poured himself a drink, and said, everything is not as it seems. We've underestimated people in this pack." "What do you m
