LOGIN"We can't lose Damian," I tell Maya. "We have to do something."
Maya suggests a date between Sofia and Damian. Maybe that'll work. Maya, that is not going to work. Damian told us when we spoke to him this morning, that Sofia keeps turning down his date invitations. I've decided to go meet my husband and have him command Sofia to let Damian mark her. I headed to my husband's office, knocked, and he said "Enter." When I entered, I saw "My mate, looking handsome and dashing as ever. Goddess,I love this man so much, and I'll do anything to keep my mate and marriage intact, even if it means sacrificing Sofia. I don't mind, but I cannot lose my mate and son. My husband sensed my worry and stood up, approaching me. "What's wrong, Elena? Are you okay? Something bothering you?" he asked. He led me to a seat, and we sat down. He held my hands, looking at me lovingly and tenderly. "Talk to me, my love. Is Something wrong? Is it about the recent rogue attack?" I said, "Yes, it's about that... and something else." He asked, "What is it?" I said, "It's Damian. I'm worried about him. As the future alpha of this pack, you know he can't handle rejection. It'll drive him mad." He said, "Sofia's not going to reject him. They're just having a misunderstanding because of Damian's past actions. I'm sure Sofia will come around and forgive him, and they'll be okay." I said, "There's no time for that. Use your alpha command on Sofia to let Damian mark her." He let go of me and said, "Elena, how can you even think about such a thing? Use my alpha command to take away a female's rights? I'd never do that. As alpha, I'll never take away a female's right to choose her mate. It's against everything Blackwood Pack believes in." I said, "But other packs do it." He replied, "Blackwood Pack is not like other packs. We don't force females to be with any male. It's their decision, their right. If Sofia decides she can't forgive Damian and rejects him, he'll have to live with it and move on." I said, "You're putting Sofia's rights above our son's life." He said, "It doesn't justify taking away her rights. I love you, Elena, but this is wrong. I won't command Sofia to let Damian mark her. Besides, my alpha command won't work on her." I asked, "Why not? She's an omega..." He said, "There are things you don't know about Sofia's birth. It's not my place to say. My alpha command won't work on her, trust me." I stood up, angry. "Fine. If you're not going to do anything, I'll take matters into my own hands." And with that, I angrily left his office. I stormed out of my husband's office, angry and frustrated, and headed straight to my room. I paced back and forth, trying to figure out what to do. Then, an idea came to mind. Maya quickly objected, "No, don't do that. Don't do something you'll regret." I said, "We don't have any other choice. If she comes to take Damian, we both know what'll happen. We can't lose our son. This is the only way to protect him. Can't you see it?" Maya said, "But..." I interrupted, "I have to do it. I have to go meet our Dark witch and maybe give us a potion that will force Damian and Sofia to mate before the next full moon. It's the only way my son can be safe." Maya said Sofia will hate Damian . If he finds out you did it he will hate you. I said, "I'd rather live with my son's hate than lose him to her. I'll do whatever it takes to protect him." I got a mind-link from my husband saying the pack is under attack again.. I shifted into my wolf to make sure women and children who can’t fight are safe. She said, "I don't want to be your mistress, Damian. You promised..." I said, "Beth,I don't know why you've been so difficult." She said, "It's the pregnancy hormones. I need you now more than ever. I feel alone, being pregnant and alone in everything. My father cares more about the political privilege this brings him than me." I felt guilty because it's true – her father has never shown concern for her, only what he gains from it I said to her, "Look, I'm sorry I haven't been there for you, and I will make it up to you. I'm going to be there for you throughout this pregnancy and after. I'll be very involved in my child's life, and I'll make sure you're well taken care of." She replies, "Do you know that I'm a princess of Bearmont? No elite will want to marry me because I've given birth." I told her, "Anyone who truly loves you will marry you regardless. You shouldn't think too deeply about it. Maybe, who knows, you might actually find your destined mate very soon." Mention
Damian pov: I watched Sofia heading towards the park house to have a conversation with her father, and I was really worried about her. I suggested following her, but she insisted that it's something she needed to handle alone. It's true, her parents kept it from her that Linda wasn't her mother for so long, and she spent all her life trying to gain her mother's attention and love, not knowing that the woman she desperately wanted love from was not her mother. I've always had my suspicions that Linda wasn't her mother because there was no resemblance between them. But I just felt maybe some kids don't look like both their parents, they look like just one of the parents. Sofia has a few features that she inherited from her dad, same with Vanessa. I decided to reach out to Storm and ask him why he wasn't bonding with Albaz the same way I was bonding with Sofia. He said it wasn't that easy, he needs to earn Albaz’s trust, that Albaz has a bit of trust issues, that he wasn't ready
I took it, and he kissed my forehead, pulling me into a hug. "How did you sleep?" he asked, concern in his voice. "Good," I said, smiling. "No dreams." We chatted for a bit, and when I finished my coffee, he said, "Mom sent an omega to bring this Tonic for you. Said to take it before training." I took the offered container and saw the label. "Oh, that's so sweet of her," I said, remembering telling his mom about my nightmares. Damian nodded. "She said it'll help you relax and sleep better." I took a spoonful, and we headed out together, walking towards the training ground We arrived at the training ground to find Mark and Josh already there, warming up. Some pack members were training, while others were arriving. Josh walked over, a teasing grin on his face. "Wow, you two finally decided to grace us with your presence," he said, walking towards Damian. "Good morning, Alpha." Damian rolled his eyes. "Cut it out, Josh." Josh turned to me. "Good morning, Luna." I smi
Sofia pov: A woman held two lifeless children, her body wracked with sobs. I felt her pain, her anguish, as if it were my own. The air was thick with the weight of grief, and I couldn't breathe. People surrounded her, their faces etched with sorrow. A man stood above her, his eyes cold and unyielding. "It's your fault," he spat. "You made me do this." The woman held the children tighter, her screams echoing in my mind. "How could you!" she wailed. Someone approached her, trying to take the children away. She held them tighter, her body shaking with sobs. "No, don't take them!" she screamed, her voice raw and broken. I jolted awake, my heart racing, and my body drenched in sweat. It was just a dream, I told myself, but the pain lingered. I'd had this dream every night for the past week, and I still had no idea what it meant. I asked my wolf, but she just said, "With time, you'll understand." I didn't know what she meant, but the dreams kept coming. And I never saw anyon
After shopping, we headed to my family's residence, where Dani's parents joined us for dinner. The evening was pleasant, and we finalized the engagement ceremony and wedding plans. Two days later, my father called me into his office. I thought it was about the wedding, but I was wrong. "Bethnie, how are things going?" he asked, his expression unreadable. "Fine, Father. The wedding preparations are going perfectly well." "Are you happy about the whole thing?" he asked, his eyes glinting. I hesitated, unsure where this was going. "Yes, I'm happy. Thank you for accepting us." He smiled, a cold glare in his eyes. "I accepted because you'll never end up with him." Confusion washed over me. "What do you mean?" "I only said yes to all this to bring you back home, to make you let your guard down," he said, his voice dripping with malice. My bear was rising to the surface, and I knew I had to get out of her before i really kill this man. "There's no way I'll let you ma
Beth pov: Things haven't been going according to plan. Everything's going the opposite way. Damian hasn't accepted me or the child I'm carrying, and I don't know what to do. I've put in so much effort, and I can't let that good-for-nothing Omega mate of his ruin it all. I paced back and forth, wondering what my next move should be. The stakes are high, and I'm not ready to lose everything. Not because of some weak and useless Omega. I was beginning to wonder what was taking my father so long. He was supposed to meet me in my room to discuss our next plan. I called my guard, and he came in. "Where's my father?" I asked. "He's attending a council meeting, but he'll be here any minute," he replied. A few minutes later, the door opened, and my father walked in. The look in his eyes - hate and disappointment - told me things had gone bad. He sat down, poured himself a drink, and said, everything is not as it seems. We've underestimated people in this pack." "What do you m
