Chapter 24

I was dumbfounded for a moment, I couldn't speak. I didn't know what to say. Ryan leaned over with a raised brow. "Arielle?" He called.

I shook my head. "I don't know. I don't know what happened" I simply said, getting off my seat.

Ryan stood after me immediately, raising his brows further.

"You didn't feel anything?" He asked.

"I didn't." I said, giving no room for further questions.

Ryan nodded. "Then it must have been just him then. He was probably not sure about what he felt" Ryan concluded and I nodded.

He paused for a while before speaking up again. "Alright, Arielle I have to go. My mate needs me, I'll come pick you up tomorrow for school" He said, grabbing his phone from the table.

I nodded, trailing after him to the door.

"Bye" I said and he nodded before walking away.

I walked back in and shut the door.

I landed on the bed softly. Why? Why's this happening to me? Did the moon goddess deem me unfit of being Aiden's mate, or unfit of bearing a wolf?

Why has she taken both from me?

I shook my head, I shouldn't care about that. Aiden now belongs to Ariana, and I need to get over him now. I will find my fated mate, when it's time- in three months from now, hopefully.

And my wolf - hopefully will stay and not abandon me again.

Ryan's POV

I walked into his room and I saw a figure sprang up the bed- Ariana. She hissed on seeing me. "Someone can't knock" She rolled her eyes.

I ignored her remarks and walked further into the room. "What?" She asked, alarmed when I approached her.

"Sit" I said. "Excuse me?" Her brows shot up.

I grabbed her arms and pulled her to me. "What are you doing?!" She yelled.

I covered her mouth immediately, muffling her screams. I forcefully tilted her head to the side, I swept her hair behind her ear, her neck now visible, and her mark.

Aiden had told me he marked her but she couldn't mark him.

My eyes dim as I stared intently at her mark, holding her firmly despite her multiple attempts to kick me.

Her mark.. it looks weak. Compared to Brianna's- my mate's, and moreover it wasn't my first time seeing a marked female. Hers, were just off.

"What are you doing?" Came Aiden's voice. I dropped Ariana who rushed to him at once, hugging him.

"He suddenly pinned me roughly.." She cried. I scoffed, all fake.

I turned to Aiden, approaching them while Ariana pretended to be scared.

"Meet me in my room, alone." I said, before walking out.

I walked into my room.

Some minutes later, Aiden walked in after seemingly calming Ariana.

"You better tell me what this is about!" He snapped.

I turned to him, my arms crossed. "Did you feel that?" I simply said. "What?" He snapped.

"When I had her pinned in my arms, did you feel distressed? Did you feel your insides burning, did you.." He charged at me at once, and in one swift motion, he threw me across the room and I landed on the bed which broke apart immediately.

"Touch my mate once again and I'll snap every piece of bones in your body" He growled, his roar shaking through the whole building.

Alpha Caden rushed in at once, his eyes widening at the scene. "What's going on in here?!" Luna Marylin gasped.

Aiden simply walked out. Hmm, perhaps I was wrong.

** Arielle's Pov**

Okayyyy, when I walked out of the door to see Ryan, it wasn't totally what I was expecting to see.

"Okayyyy, what's going on?" I asked at once, seeing the little cuts over his face. Wait, why wasn't he healing? I rushed to him immediately, what's going on? I asked, my eyes roaming across his face immediately. He pushed my hands down, moving his face away with a groan.

"I'm fine, and you can't keep touching me like that, my mate can feel it" He says and I moved back immediately.

"Oh, sorry." I forgot.

"What happened?" I proceeded to ask again.

"Well, Aiden did this to me" He said as he guided me to the door. "What!" My head snapped at him, and he only smiled.

"I kinda deserved it, I touched his mate" He said.

"What? Why did you do that?" I asked again. Instead of replying, he pushed my head inside the car, and my body followed. He shut the door behind me before walking over to his seat.

He got in and ignited the engine immediately.

"Why would you think something was wrong with her mark?" I raised my voice. He groaned.

"Oh please, that's enough scolding. Luna Marylin scolded me all night"

"And you deserved it!" I snapped at him. He sighed, stole a glance at me before focusing back on the road.

"But.. I did it for you, and.."

"I know!" I snapped.

He turned slowly. "You do? Then why get mad?" He asked, his focus back on the road.

"Cause I don't need you too, I'm over him, Ariana is his mate, and I have accepted it, you should too" I snapped.

"I know, but he said that night he.."

"And I said I didn't!" I snapped again.

"He must have felt wrong. Stop this, Ryan.. please.." I lowered my voice.

He bit his lips then turned away with a sigh. "Okayy.." His voice was barely audible.

I looked at his face, my brows deepening. "This, why's it there?" I asked referring to the cuts on his face. He should be healing. Even any weak wolf like me would be able to heal this within seconds, though not me, I couldn't heal- I didn't have a wolf.

He's an alpha prince, why wasn't he healing.

"Aiden did this, according to an elder, the prophecy must be happening. With his fated mate, he becomes unbelievably stronger, therefore his hits are vital" He said.

My brows deepened. "But, you're the..."

"I know, right?" He said with a chuckle. "It's unbelievable. I guess not even an alpha prince could escape his hits. He's unbelievably stronger now.." He said, trailing off as he turned to me. I raised my brows slightly.

"All thanks to his fated mate, Ariana." He completed.
