Chapter 9. Without You, I'm a Mess

ALEX P. O. V

I kicked the legs of the chair as I slammed the report file onto the table. I squeezed my hair tightly, feeling very frustrated. I ragged my breathing with emotions mixed with restlessness.

I didn't find Grace's whereabouts anywhere.

It's been the seventh day since Grace left the Moon Pack. She disappeared like the wind swept her away, and the rain washed away her footsteps. I couldn't sleep comfortably and couldn't do my work properly because my mind was only on her.

“Alex, why aren't you sleeping?” Jecelin stood in the doorway of my workspace. For a moment, my body froze when I saw Jecelin's body in Grace's satin pajamas. I had allowed her to wear Grace's things so that I could feel her presence here. Although, Jecelin didn't fit into Grace's clothes at all due to the difference in their body sizes.

“I have a lot of work to do.” I gathered the company's report files and arranged them into a pile on the table, then leaned my back against the back of the chair.
