8. Back to the drawing board

Arystyn went back to the pack house to gather her thoughts. She was in her room when there was a knock at the door. "Come in" Arystyn yelled. Alex walked in, Do you have a minute? he asked. Arystyn.was so angry! She looked at him and screamed I fucking hate this! She could feel her temperature rising and her head started to spin. She felt it coming on, her head started to ring and she knew it was coming! Her face contorted and she could feel her bones cracking under her skin. She was shifting! Arystyn could see her reflection in the mirror and saw the silhouette of her wolf on the wall. Before she could get control she was lunging at Alex! Alex reacted quickly and had her pinned to the floor all the while coaxing her softly to pace her breathing and try and relax. She was able to relax and monitor her breathing and finally shifted back to human form. Alex held her close in his arms still stroking her hair and kissing her head. Arystyn reacted to his touch and strained against him raising her head to meet his lips. Alex pulled her on top of him and kissed every inch of her breathing in her smell! She was tearing off his clothes with a desperation he had never seen in her before. They made love until they both were spent and fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next month was spent training by day and making love by night. Arystyn felt a passion in Alex that she had never felt with anyone before but she had to remember what she working towards. She had to stay on track. Arystyn knew what she must do but didn’t want to lose what she had with Alex. She had to do what she could to regain what was rightfully hers.

Arystyn walked outside where Alex was leaning up against a tree looking at the lake. Hey, beautiful he said as he pulled her close. Alex, Arystyn started, we can’t do this anymore. I need to get back to my real life. Alex looked dumbfounded you know life will never be as before. I know, Arystyn stated but as much as possible is what I need. I have to get back to work. Are you gonna work with that son of a bitch? She knew he wouldn’t understand but she had to make them pay and she didn’t want Alex involved.
