Catherine pov.

It has been a week since Lux left, and I've been doing everything I can to get everything back to normal. I walk around town, smiling, noticing how healthy everyone has become. Most of the time when I walk, I hear people whispering that I am possessed. That most of the time I will act good, and other times I will act like a jerk.

I didn't mind listening because I knew they were correct. As I transformed into my wolf, I ran into the woods. The tall trees with leaves of green, gold, and crimson rustled in the wind. The sweet scent of pine filled my nose as I took deep breaths. I felt the rough bark of the trees under my fingertips as I ran deeper and deeper, away from people, feeling more relaxed with each step.

After running a long distance, I reverted to my human form and sat on the ground, my fingers intertwined as I took a moment to catch my breath. I looked around, and everything was quiet and peaceful. I sat by a branch tree and watched the birds fly gracefully thro
