Chapter 33: Return of Luna

In the morning, Emiliano went to work without notifying Ginevra. I made sure my face was clean of the fight with Emiliano. I went to meet Ginevra in her room. She was seated in front of the vanity table, touching her face and admiring her look.

“Good morning, beauty,” I smiled, moving close to her. She turned to look at me with a bright smile.

“Good morning, Ana.”

I stood behind her, running my fingers through her hair. “How was your night?” I asked.

“Not bad, I slept well,” she responded. I stood mute for a while. I sighed. Should I tell her about Emiliano? Will she even believe me? “Are you okay?” Ginevra queried, staring at me in the mirror.

“What are your plans for today?” I asked, placing my hands on her shoulders.

“Plans?” she smiled. “You and Emiliano won’t let me do anything, so my plans for today are to eat, read, and sleep as usual.”

“That is a bigger plan,” I declared and we laughed.

I went to see Maximo later on. He was getting better. Not that the bruises are gone
