Chester was Shot

Sunlight streamed through the window, rousing me from my slumber. I blinked, disoriented, taking in my surroundings. This wasn't my old bedroom, it was Killian room. The realization struck me, this was my new home.

Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, I had slept surprisingly well. Stretching languidly, I rolled onto my back, extending my arms and legs before sinking back into the plush mattress.

Turning my head, I noticed the untouched side of the bed, my heart sinking.

Killian hadn't slept with me last night. Had he returned late and found another place to sleep, or had he not come home at all? The thought sent a chill down my spine.

Climbing out of bed, I tried to recall where I had put my clothes the previous day. A quick search through the drawers jogged my memory, and I soon found what I needed.

Slipping into a pair of track pants, a t-shirt, and a hoodie, I pulled my hair back into a clip and headed downstairs in search of someone who could fill me in on the events of the night
