Ch 9— Seven minutes in heaven.

The drive to Ryan Hill's mansion was eerily quiet. Matt kept smirking to himself, as if he knew something I didn't. He seemed to have some kind of plan for the party, but he wasn't sharing it with me. I tried to ignore his smug expression, but it was hard to ignore the tension in the car.

I leaned forward in my seat, ready to ask what was up with him. But before I could get a word out, Matt groaned and held up a hand. "Ugh, don't even bother asking," he said. I sat back, feeling annoyed and even more curious than before.

"We're here," Matt said, his smirk broadening as he pulled into the driveway and turned off the engine. He sat there for a moment, seemingly content to just let the silence drag on.

I sat there, seething in the backseat as I stared at the back of his head. I wanted to ask him what he was planning in his head, but I bit my tongue to stop myself from asking.
