Chapter 37 - Amelia bit the Vampire King!

Amelia’s point of view:

I screamed when someone grabbed me from behind, pressing a cloth against my mouth and nose. My voice turned muffled as I struggled to break free. Everything went blurry in front of me, the tall trees spun while the sky turned grey before everything went completely black.

I woke up to a cold sensation against my left cheek.

I winced, unable to move onto to realize that my hands and feet were tied up.

I gasped when I saw a man – a vampire – leaning above me, too close for any sort of comfort.

I tried to lean back to put some distance between us but alas! It was at that moment that I realized that I was in a bed. I looked around him and became aware of my surroundings. I was in a bedroom.

“W-Who are you?” I asked but strangely, no words sounded from my mouth. The effort only made me wince. My throat was dry as if I’ve been deprived of water for ages. How long have I been here, lying unconscious? What did they drug me with?
