AUDREY:

I was outside with Zale. He had finally told me all that he could remember when he was younger. Just like mother had said, he was a fucking cunning and greedy bastard.

The stars were shiner than usual, but there was only one that outshined the rest of them.

It was all alone in a corner all by itself. I wondered why it didn't want to mingle with the rest of its kind.

This was suddenly what I thought about Hecate. He was a god. Why was he out here in this world causing havoc and poisoning the minds of people. Why was he breaking homes?

The only answer to this question was that he was different. He wasn't the shiny star either because taking a second look at the star I could tell it was a special one, though lonely.

Hecate was different from his kind and that was why he left to be alone. All he ever wants is to be loved by someone. Maybe that's it.
