CHAPTER TWO

Roseanne walked in through the door looking tired in her baggy trouser and big black hoodie, with her books in her hand.

She stopped on track when she saw her father moving around anxiously in the living room.

Soberth and Angie sighed out when they looked up to see Roseanne.

“Oh, she’s back” Soberth heaved a sigh of relief, Roseanne scrunched her face up in confusion.

“You need to change your dress he will be here soon. You need to look your best for him” 𝐌𝐫 Kent said in a loud voice as he pushes Roseanne to Angie

“Get her changed into something nice” he said to Angie who rolled her eyes at Roseanne who keeps staring at her father with sadness evident in her eyes.

“I thought you Changed your mind, why must I get married to him in exchange for the money you want from him … don’t I really mean anything to you pay?” she said as her voice starts breaking, pain evident in her voice as she bit her lips trying to stop herself from crying.

“My company is at the edge of going bankrupt and you think I have the time to waste thinking about a daughter that caused the death of her own mother” he said in an almost loud voice.

Tears rolled down Roseanne eyes “Pa we can find other solutions, you can try and negotiate with h…. “Her words were cut short when she felt a stinging pain on her cheeks, she held her cheeks as tears roll down her eyes. Soberth and Angie burst into laughter.

“Negotiate with Gerald? You really want me dead the same way you killed your mother, you want to be useless to us? This is the least you can do to appreciate me for raising you to this stage without throwing you off the street” His words pierced deep into Roseanne heart, not that she’s just hearing him speak to her in this manner, but it hurts hearing this from her father.

“This is father’s company we are talking about, giving yourself should not be too much to ask for” Soberth said with a glare.

“If you cared so much about his company, why didn’t you offer yourself instead?” She said loudly in anger, Soberth yanked her hair in anger, slapped her and pushed her to the ground.

“You can’t be useless, it’s either you help us or forget about seeing mother’s grave” Angie speaks out as she moved close to Roseanne.

Roseanne looked up, “But Pa promised to take me there once I turn twenty-one “she said as she faced her father with a hopeful look

“At this point, do you think you deserve to see her grave?” 𝐌𝐫 Kent said curtly as he stares at Roseanne in disgust.

Tears rolled down her eyes as she almost shrinks in fear with the way her father was looking at her.

She knelt and clasped her hands together and faced her father “Pa, please let me see her grave even if it’s once”

Mr. Kent smirk “I can do that “

Angie and Soberth frowned at their father’s response.

“You can’t show her mother’s grave, she does not deserve to see it Pa” Soberth said angrily as she folds her hands under breast.

Roseanne looked up as her face lighten up and a smile found its way to her lips

“Really? When?” She asked happily, Angie scoffed at her angrily and stomped her foot to the ground.

Mr. Kent smiled at Roseanne and sat with his leg crossed on one of the chairs in the living room.

“I can do that even tomorrow, as long as you agree to get married to Gerald” he said as his smile turn into a smirk. Soberth smiled knowingly as she walked stylishly to her father as her bumshort hug her small ass tightly.

Roseanne smile turned into sadness as she stared at her father who wore a disgusting look on his face.

Tears rolled down her eyes as she shook her head in denial. “You really want me gone forever Pa, you really cherish Angie and Soberth more than me … I thought one … day …I’ll be able … to change your mind… but I was wrong … wrong…now I know a day like that would never come” she said as she rolled down her eyes.

Mr. Kent rolled his eyes at her, “Get married to Gerald or I’ll make sure I withdraw you from school, I’ll make sure you don’t get a roof over your head, and I’ll make your life a living hell till you die “he said in a loud voice that scared Roseanne, she knew he meant everything he said.

She grabbed her joggers tightly and stood up from the ground and cleaned her eyes with her palm.

“Getting married to Gerald means death, disagreeing with you also means being miserable and ending up dead… I’ll go with the death that doesn’t involve dying by my loved one’s hands” she said as she looks at her father who keeps looking with a straight face, while Soberth scoffed at her words.

Her eyes caught sight of Angie who was staring at her with disgust on the stairs.

“Story for the gods, Gerald will kill father if he gets here and doesn’t get what he wants in exchange for the money father collected… will seeing father die will make you happy bitch?” Angie said as she walked down the stairs in her mini skirt and tank top.

“I’ll get married to him” Roseanne dropped the bomb

𝐌𝐫 Kent looked at her with a smirk, while Soberth and Angie scoff.

“it’s not as if you have a choice anyways” Angie said as she popped her gum in an unpleasant manner.

“Dress her up in anything nice, 𝐌𝐫 Gerald will be here soon” 𝐌𝐫 Kent said.

“Why does she need to look good anyway? She can just see him like this” Soberth said as she looked at Roseanne from her head to her toe in disgust.

“What if he decides to go for the best-looking girl among you, will you like to take her place then?” 𝐌𝐫 Kent said as he glares at Soberth and walk up to his room.

“Hey bitch, seems luck is on your side you get to dress sexy today “Angie said to Roseanne whose eyes are fixed to the ground with tears rolling down her eyes.

“G.G might get here anytime soon, so we need to rush the whole glam shit for this low life” Soberth said as she tries to drag Roseanne up to her room when the door barged open as five men in black suits rush into the house.

“Hey, what do you think you’re doing barging into people’s house any…?” Angie said but her words cut short in her mouth as she came face to face with G.G.

G.G walked into the living room in his full glory, the atmosphere changed as everyone felt his power as he walked in.

Angie ran back to Soberth who started peeing on her body immediately she saw G.G.

Roseanne stood frozen on a spot as she tried not to make eye contact with G.G who stared at her from head to toe and smirked.

Mr. Kent rushed down the stairs as he heard Angie’s voice from his room, he shivered in fear as he saw G.G.

Mr. Kent rushed to where G.G is seated and bowed as Soberth and Angie rushed to stay behind their father in fear.

Roseanne wanted to move and join her father, but her foot remained unmoved.

“what’s the essence of rushing to him for survival when he doesn’t care about me, and he won’t think twice before throwing me into the lion’s den” Roseanne thought as she used her palm to clean the tears that tried to roll down her cheeks with her face fixed to the ground.

“Welcome sir” 𝐌𝐫 Kent said as he tried not to sound nervous with his head bowed.

“Am here for the end of our bargain, which of your daughters are you selling to me? “G.G said in his husky and deep-sweet voice as his eyes moved from the three girls back to 𝐌𝐫 Kent.

Roseanne shivered from where she was standing and raised her head to see her father pointing his finger at her, her heart broke into pieces on the spot. She heard G.G scoff from his seat.

“ When I heard you wanted to give me your last worm in exchange for my money, i thought I might have heard wrong since you won’t want to dig your grave too early but I guess you want a fast transition to your death” G.G voice roared as he stood up from the chair in anger, he brought out his gun from his pocket and shot 𝐌𝐫 Kent arm.

Mr. Kent screamed in pain; his walking fell from his hand as he fell to the ground. Angie fainted on the spot, while Soberth screamed as she peed on her body once again.

Roseanne felt her soul leave her body on the spot as she saw her father struggling with one of his arms, she burst into tears.

G.G smiled evilly as he derived pleasure and joy from their pain, fear and scream.

“So, I’ll give you one fucking last chance to speak up right now, which one of your girls are you giving out?” He said as he frowns in anger as he cocks his gun once more, 𝐌𝐫 Kent’s keeps groaning on the ground while holding his arm with his second hand as he struggles to kneel in front of G.G

G.G scoffed and tries to shoot him when Roseanne rushed from her spot and stood in front of her father with her arm widely spread.

“Don’t shoot my father, take me instead” she shouted as she glared at Gerald as tears rolled down her eyes, as she spreads her arm more widely.

Gerald scoffed “Arnold Kent you sure have a weird worm as your daughter” Gerald walked to Roseanne his cold blue eyes almost piercing into her soul as he yanked her hair as soon as he got close to her.

Roseanne’s wince in pain as tears roll down her eyes from the pain she was feeling from how hard he was holding her hair.

“ And who the fuck do you think you are to stop me from killing this fucker ?” He shouted angrily as his vein popped from his neck as pulled her hair more tightly in his hand.

“Ahh” Roseanne screamed in pain.

Gerald smirked darkly as he placed his gun on her neck, moving it up and down on her neck.

“ Any fucking movement of your body right now, I’ll make sure your head falls off your body ” Gerald said with a smirk on his lips as he cocked the gun as he placed it on her neck. Roseanne stood frozen on the spot in fear, tears continued rolling down her cheeks as she stared at her father and sisters.

” I’ll do anything you wa..nt, I’ll go with you and ma..rry you as lo..ng as you.. Lea..ve my father and sis..ters” tears roll down her eyes as she stutter while talking, her heart beating fast out of fear at how close Gerald is to her.

Gerald chuckled darkly, he raised his thumb to her cheeks as he uses his thumb to wipe the tears rolling down her cheeks and licked it.

“Sure, tempting offer you’ve got” Roseanne tried to move away from him in fear but he drawed her back to him.

He smiled as he moved closer to her and tucked her hair to her ear.” your tears taste nice, I’ll have fun licking it daily. Sounds fun right ?”

He kept rubbing her hair with his palm for a few minutes while staring, a sinister smile on his lips, enjoying the way she was breathing heavily out of fear.

“The wedding holds tomorrow, I’ll come back for my bride tomorrow, bye for now”

He said coldly as he let go of Roseanne’s hair and walked out with his men.

Roseanne rushed to her father who was groaning on the floor. “Pa let me take you to the hospital “she tried to hold him, but he pushed her away from him with his second hand. Roseanne staggered as she almost fell to the floor, but she managed to stand still as tears threatened to roll down her eyes.

“Get away from me” he groaned as he held his injured arm with his second hand as he tried to stand.

Roseanne sighed as she moved close to him and knelt in front of him so she could help him up.

“You heard what I Get away from me bad luck” He shouted angrily as he glared at her dangerously. Roseanne ignored what he said and tried to help him up, but she was pushed to the ground by Angie who had already woken up.

“You heard what he said since you weren’t born deaf or dumb” Angie said as she looked down at Roseanne who already stood up from the ground.

“I only …wanted to help” she muttered lowly as she avoided making eye contact with Angie who was almost burying her with her eyes.

“mind your business ” Soberth said as she moved closer to Angie who moved away from her immediately.

“Yuck, you peed on yourself. So classless” Angie said as she covered her nose with her hands.

“Fuck you, At least I didn’t faint out of fear” she replied angrily as she glared at Angie who laughed at her in mockery.

“Fainting is better than peeing myself “Angie replied which made Soberth make way to the stairs, but she stopped on her track.

“You should be concerned about yourself not Pa” Soberth said as she walked off to her room in anger.

Roseanne sighed and tried to rush to her father who was still groaning but she stopped on track when Angie stood in front of her with a glare. Roseanne moved back in fear.

Angie helped Mr. Kent up.” I’ll take him to the hospital myself and, like she said, be worried about yourself, not like I care because I want you dead, she said as she made way outside while holding Mr. Kent who held his injured arm with his hand while groaning.

Roseanne fell to the ground as her legs felt weak instantly, tears rolled down as she felt her soul might leave her soul as to the problem, she had got herself into.
