Kelvin's POV.

I didn’t mean to fall for her, atleast, not like this. Not while my mate was sick… not when she was fading more and more each day.

But what was I supposed to do? Watch my life fall apart and do nothing? Pretend I didn’t notice the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen walk into this cursed pack like moonlight?

Selene.

From the moment I first saw her, those silver strands tumbling down her back, the fierce fire in her eyes when she dared to speak her mind—I knew she was the one I wanted.

She wasn’t like the others. She wasn’t like my mate, who now barely spoke. Selene was alive, bold and confident.

Even in pain, even after that coma, she still sat with a kind of grace that made me imagine things I shouldn’t.

I’d seen the way she looked at me that first day. There was a spark, though uncertain, maybe, but definitely there.

With just a little time, just a little push, I knew I could make her mine.

She could replace what I was about to lose.

And so I walked toward her quarter
