Lucian's POV.

After Lucas had gone, I left Evelyn behind with that warm smile still on her face, her hands gently holding the edge of the teacup.

She was still sipping the tea like nothing had just gone wrong, like Lucas hadn’t just seen her.

She had no idea about the chaos going on around her.

I forced the door shut quietly behind me and walked deeper into the mansion.

My steps echoed down the long marble hallway, each one heavier than the last.

I turned at the far end then pushed open a discreet wooden door, and descended the spiral stone stairs into the underground.

The air shifted, it was cold down here, colder than above. It was damp and musty. The kind of chill that clung to your bones and whispered truths no one wanted to hear.

The further I went, the darker it became, and the only sounds were the creaks of the old steps and the distant groans of the imprisoned could be heard.

By the time I reached the bottom, torches dimly lit the stone corridor. Metal bars lined the right sid

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   BAD NEWS

Killian's POVSoteria made her way into the building. She walked majestically, like the wind had parted for her. Her red hair was looking as good as ever, cascading over her shoulders like fire, and her eyes held experience.I looked at her and rose from my seat, and so did the others. “Soteria,” I greeted, nodding. “What a pleasant surprise.”She looked at me, and then she smiled.Alpha Dominic, always proper, stepped forward and greeted her as well, bowing slightly in his place. But Soteria only looked at him indifferently. She didn't say anything, only gave him a brief nod, and then she walked past him like he wasn’t worth her breath.“Please, have a seat,” I said. She moved with quiet power and lowered herself gracefully onto the chair across from me. She crossed one leg over the other and met my eyes.I studied her for a moment. Soteria never left her side of the mountains unless something had stirred.“I know you don’t come out for no reason,” I said calmly. “So what news have y

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   THAT MAID

Killian's POVI was already walking, frost practically clinging to my skin from how cold my aura had turned.Halfway down the hall, I met Ronan.“My lord” He said and I gave him a look. He cleared his throat, understanding what I meant.“I mean…Killian”. He corrected.“Alpha Dominic and Beta Luca are here to see you.” He added.I stopped walking, my eyes narrowed. “Alpha Dominic? Why is he here?”Ronan shook his head. “I’m not sure. He said he came to speak with you in person. I think… it may have something to do with the approaching ceremony.”I exhaled slowly. “Of course it does.”There was always something.I straightened, adjusted the collar of my coat, and nodded. “Where are they?”“In the inner court,” Ronan said.I gave one last glance in the direction Selene had gone, a part of me wishing I had followed her sooner.“Let’s go” I said. We made our way to the inner court, the soles of my boots echoing against the polished floors. The moment we stepped inside, I spotted them. Al

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   THEY ALL DIE

Valerie's POVI stormed through the eastern halls toward the maids' quarters, my heels tapping sharply against the polished floors. The air around me crackled with my fury. That little witch, Ella. She had one job, to keep me informed. And now I return to this? Lovena back in the pack. Selene poisoned and not a single message? The moment I spotted Ella chattering with two lowly maids near the water basin, I didn't bother hiding the displeasure on my face. She flinched the second her eyes met mine, her shoulders tensing like a mouse caught in the claws of a hawk.I walked straight to her, cutting off her conversation mid-sentence.“You two” I said sharply to the maids beside her “leave us, now.”They bowed so fast it was a blur and scurried away. Then I turned to Ella and folded my arms slowly, deliberately. “You little witch,” I hissed. “How dare you not keep me posted?”Ella bowed immediately, her eyes cast low. “I’m sorry, Lady Valerie.”“That is not an answer” I snapped. “Why didn

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   THE AUDACITY OF MY MATE

Killian's POV.After I had left Selene to get some rest, I went to see Ronan. There were still things to handle, matters I had neglected while Selene was unconscious. We dicussed about reports, pack concerns, shifts and territories. After everything, I went back to my chambers.Night came, I went to bed and then morning came.I bathed, dressed, and stepped out of my chambers. My feet were already taking me to her before my thoughts could catch up.I didn’t know exactly what I was going to say, but I knew I wanted to see her. The moment I reached the guest quarters, a strange stillness settled in my chest.Selene’s door was slightly open. That alone wasn’t alarming, maybe Carmen had stepped out, I thought. But then my gaze fell on the blonde-haired bastard standing right by the bathroom door and something inside me snapped. The door hadn’t even opened fully. It was just slightly ajar, but I saw enough. His stance… the way he stood far too close. What the hell was he thinking? I sl

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   A KISS

Selene's POVI didn’t understand why Alpha Killian insisted on taking me for a walk. Of all people, why him? I was already trying my best to keep my distance. Every time he was close, my body betrayed me. My heart raced and my skin tingled. It was like being caught between a flame and a promise I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep. But worse than that were the words my mother had always told me. Her voice echoed in my head every time I saw him.“‘Stay away from Alpha Killian. Whatever you do, Selene, do not cross paths with him. He's dangerous for you... for us.”And yet, here we were, walking through the quarters like it was the most normal thing in the world. Carmen was on my left, silently observing, and he… he was right beside me, on my right. The worst part? He smelled good. Like leather, pine, and something that made my head swirl.I glanced up at him from the corner of my eye, his aura almost made the air heavier. And then, without warning, he turned to me and asked, “How are yo

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   BATHROOM DOOR

Kelvin's POV.I didn’t mean to fall for her, atleast, not like this. Not while my mate was sick… not when she was fading more and more each day.But what was I supposed to do? Watch my life fall apart and do nothing? Pretend I didn’t notice the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen walk into this cursed pack like moonlight?Selene. From the moment I first saw her, those silver strands tumbling down her back, the fierce fire in her eyes when she dared to speak her mind—I knew she was the one I wanted. She wasn’t like the others. She wasn’t like my mate, who now barely spoke. Selene was alive, bold and confident. Even in pain, even after that coma, she still sat with a kind of grace that made me imagine things I shouldn’t.I’d seen the way she looked at me that first day. There was a spark, though uncertain, maybe, but definitely there. With just a little time, just a little push, I knew I could make her mine. She could replace what I was about to lose. And so I walked toward her quarter
