Jason POV

I thought of a million things on seeing how the events had turned out. Then, I settled for one. I wasn’t going to fall prey to the notion Caden was trying to put inside my head.

I gripped the knife in my hands firmly, and declared without thinking further, “Kill her, if you want, Caden. It doesn’t move me one bit either.”

“You sure, Jason,” He said and pressed the barrel harder on her head, making her beg for mercy.

“Don’t threaten my mom in that way, Caden. Drop your gun.” Kelan ordered to my surprise.

“Sir, with all due respect, he will need to obey my words, first. I can’t trust him not to still harm you if I drop the gun.” Caden explained.

He was right. I wasn’t done with Kelan. I would have still dealt more blows till I was satisfied, then I would bind him side by side with his buddy. With this confusion between Caden and Kelan, I had the upper hand now, and I planned to use it wisely.
