Chapter 17

Annabel went to the junction to see her friend sitting helplessly on the floor.

She ran towards her and helped her to get into the cab.

The driver edged his car into the slow-paced traffic and alighted them to their destination.

Annabel rushed to help her friend out of the car and they got to the room.

Vanessa was still feeling weak. She was helped by her friend to lie on the couch.

Annabel quickly went to get something for her friend and made sure she was feeling okay. After 15 minutes, she acted lively and strong as well.

"What happened to you, Vanessa".

Annabel questioned her friend.

Vanessa turned to look at her friend and started sobbing.

"He got me into his trap again".

She said between sobs.
