Chapter 29: Trust

THE dinner is not as good as she expected. She shouldn't expect anything from her family in the first place but she couldn't help but feel disappointed for all the stupid remarks from them. Kaya naman nang magpasya si Pierce na umuwi, mabilis siyang tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo sa mahabang sofa para ihatid ito sa labas. Her mother, not expecting her kindness towards Pierce looked shock. Wala sa isip nito na ihahatid niya si Pierce palabas ng bahay.

Ngunit nagbago rin naman ang emosyon sa mga mata ni ginang. Ang gulat ay napalitan ng tuwa. Hindi na lamang niya iyon pinagtuunan ng pansin. She couldn't wait to send him off.

He politely bid his goodbye. Si Penelope na pababa pa lang ulit ng hagdan ay napansin na paalis sila.

"You'll sleep with him tonight?" She asked from the stairs.

Natigilan si Pierce sa paglalakad kaya wala din siyang ibang choice kung hindi ang lingunin ang pakialamerang kapatid.
