FIFTEEN - Captive

The first thing I became aware of is the banging pain in my head. I slowly opened my eyes to a hazy vision of a wooden door. I tried to move but I realized that both my hands and legs were bound to the chair I sat in.

I struggled with the rough ropes, but they broke through my skin, and I felt the slight trickle of blood.

The creaking of the door opening brought my attention from my attempt to break free. The blurry silhouette of a man sashayed towards me. As he got closer, I realized he was the same man from the woods.

“You’re finally awake.” He said with a Cheshire like grin. “You know I expected that my task to capture you would be harder… I think you’re not as powerful as they say you are.”

“What do you want?” I gritted out.

“You’re my way to get Cain Cadell on his knees.” He kneeled before me, “You know that he stole something that didn’t belong to him. He’s a bastard thief who only knows how to kill.”
