In the male dormitory, Aiden has been indoor and refused to attend class nor answers calls from his classmates, so Justine decided to pay his Best friend a visit
"Who is it ?.... come in the door is opened" Aiden answered the knock " Aiden, what's up with you man, I have been trying to reach you, and you haven't been in class, are you alright?" Justine asked looking concerned " Dude I'm fine, I was only offline for a day and not a week" Aiden chuckled " For real, are you alright?" Justine asked " she broke up with me..." "Wait, you mean Liner ?" Justine Asked " Yes, she didn't tell me why, but I guess she's seeing someone else" Justine sat down on the couch and carried LAN, Aiden's puppy on his Laps "what do you plan on doing now that you're single again? let's grab some drinks at that club I told you about" Justine suggested " Nah, I'll pass, I'm heading to the café later in the evening" " Dude just this once won't kill you, trust me and besides you might get hold of a New chick that can cheer up my cute little buddy"Justine chuckled " I'm not cute, and stop patting my head" Aiden said as he slapped off Justine's hand "Boss, Mr Rex is waiting for you at the clubhouse" " Did he tell you what the meeting is about?" " No sir...., should we head there?" The Boss waved his hand in response and car was silent again till they reached the clubhouse Immediately He entered the club with Justine, e realized the club was for all types of people, he noticed men who were busy smooching and ladies who were doing their thing he felt irritated "Justine where have you brought me uh? This place is disgusting" he saidd Aiden didn't realize that he was Left alone, Justine already left with a lady "Fine, I will see myself to a seat" he shrugged He went straight to the bar to have some drinks and reflect on himself "What's your order?" the bartender asked " Anything strong please" he said adjusting himself Damien was being escorted to his office which is without the clubhouse he noticed Aiden as he was interacting with the bartender, he felt somehow drawn to him, then he told Sean his assistant "Find out who that person is...that blond guy" he ordered and left for his office Rex has been in the office for 10 mins he was getting impatient, but he had no choice "Bro, you kept me waiting, that's really unfair" he frowned " I didn't plan on coming here, what's the deal?" Damien said as he stood admiring the club from the transparent walls of his office and he noticed that the blonde guy was still on seat, he began to observe "Damien did you hear what I said just now?" Rex asked as he noticed Damien was far off "You can start again, ... so what is it this time?" he asked getting more serious "it's about to the Lawson's" Rex sighedA few minutes ago, while the ballroom was still a blur of motion and music, Mike had leaned against the stone balcony, a cold, calculated look in his eyes. He whispered into a small earpiece, "He’s left my side. He went out for some fresh air—this is our window. Make sure the room is ready." He spotted Aiden standing alone in the shadows of the garden. A stranger had approached the boy, but Mike stepped in quickly to maintain control of his prize. "Get away from him," Mike shooed the stranger with a dismissive wave. "Why would you do that? He was only trying to have a conversation," Aiden argued, frustrated by the constant interference of the people in this world. "Eh! He almost deceived you. Didn’t the person who brought you here teach you the ethics of strange places?" Mike warned, his voice dripping with mock concern. "Err… let’s not talk about him for now. It’s a waste of time," Aiden hissed, the thought of Damien and Jessica making his chest tighten with fresh annoyance. M
"Why am I even at this party full of high-class citizens? It's not like we had… sex more than once," I murmured to myself, leaning against a pillar in the corner of the grand ballroom. The words felt bitter on my tongue. I was just a student from a café, a temporary distraction in a world of silk and secrets. "What did you say?" a voice interrupted sharply from behind me. "Ugh! Sorry for disturbing you," I blurted out, spinning around and bowing instinctively. I started to walk away, my face burning with embarrassment, but a hand reached out and grabbed my wrist. "Seems you don’t remember me again… and after I sent you that text." I blinked, looking up into a pair of familiar, playful eyes. "Ohhh, it’s you… Mike! Finally, I can talk to someone I actually understand," I said, a genuine smile breaking through my anxiety. "Yeah, of course it’s me. How have you been, Aiden? And tell me, are you related to the Smiths? I saw you arrive with them earlier," he asked, raising an eyebrow
Sean had known the moment he heard Jessica’s sharp, entitled voice over the phone that the evening’s peace was over. He had stood at the edge of the dining hall for several minutes, watching the silhouette of Damien and Aiden through the glass. He had seen something he hadn't seen in years: Damien looking genuinely relaxed, even amused. "Sir..." Sean had hesitated, almost turning back to give his boss just ten more minutes of happiness. But Damien’s eyes, sharp as a hawk’s, had already locked onto him. "What is it?" Damien asked, his voice returning to that cold, clipped Japanese. "Miss Jessica called," Sean reported, bowing his head. "She said she is landing in Japan tonight and will be attending the party." "Jessica!" Damien’s fists clenched on top of the tablecloth, the fine linen wrinkling under his grip. The brief warmth that had filled the air between him and Aiden vanished instantly, replaced by a biting chill. Aiden, who had been halfway through a piece of tempura, stop
It was exactly 5 p.m. when the designated driver arrived at the mansion. Aiden lingered at the door for a moment, feeling a strange mix of nerves and anticipation, before finally sliding into the plush leather interior of the car. "Sir, we will be heading to the restaurant. Master Damien has reserved the entire venue," the driver informed him. "Okay… no problem," Aiden replied, though his heart did a little somersault. He kept his eyes glued to his phone, trying to act like a private restaurant buyout was a totally normal occurrence for a student who usually lived on instant ramen and café leftovers. When they arrived, Aiden’s cool exterior crumbled. The architecture was a stunning blend of traditional Japanese woodwork and modern glass. "Wow! This is beautiful! Look at those paintings," he exclaimed, snapping a few quick photos. He needed proof for Justine—and himself—that this wasn't just a vivid dream. As he was led through the grand dining hall, he noticed the eerie silence. A
"So, you mean Damien had memory loss regarding the incident, and none of you really know the full story of what he saw?" Aiden asked, leaning forward. The weight of Mrs. Kate’s story made the luxurious room feel suddenly cold."Yes… he never opened up to anyone. And he’s told us never to call him Charlton since the day he woke up," Mrs. Kate replied, her voice dropping to a cautious whisper."But why? It’s just a name.""I noticed that whenever we do, he gets these terrible headaches—and sometimes he ends up in the hospital," she whispered, looking toward the door. "Let me tell you a little secret…" She leaned in closer."What is it?" Aiden whispered back, caught up in the tension."Hey! You don’t have to whisper back," she scolded playfully, hitting his arm lightly."Oh… then why are you whispering? We’re the only ones in the room!" Aiden chuckled, the heavy mood breaking for a second."Err… yeah, true," she laughed dryly, and Aiden burst into a genuine fit of laughter."You really a
