CHAPTER FIVE~☆- NO ONE BELIEVES THE WEAK ONE

The next day, the news had spread across the entire pack,and the hall was filled with people. Murmurs and whispers spread through the crowd as Lyra was dragged inside. She was roughly thrown to the floor,wincing as she felt a sharp pain down her rib. Everyone laughed as she was dumped on the ground. She chocked on her tears as she lowered her head slowly as their stares were already getting unbearable.

She was innocent,but who would believe her?

no one believes the weak one.

First,her parent.

Now, the entire pack gets to believe her sister,over her, who was saying the truth.

what hurt her the most was not the lie,it was the fact that it was her own blood twin sister who would do this to her.

Everyone one in the kingdom knew of the pack laws;one of them, which clearly states that thieves caught, are banished immediately.

She didn't want to accept that as her fate! No,where would she go?

Her thoughts were disrupted as the alpha king kael walked into the hall,followed closely by her parent and her twin,Sera.

Sera looked miserable. Like she had been crying all night,Lyra froze.

Sera was a great pretender! Anyone seeing her would think Sera was sorry for her.

Her jaw tightened as people called her names.

"Thief," one of the women said

"Weak girl," another insulted

"Cursed "

Every word she heard made her want to disappear.

She knelt down in the center,chain on her hands.

She felt a sharp pain again,at her lower abdomen.

She tried to kneel upright, but her legs betrayed her,they were shaking terribly.

"We are all gathered here today to punish a law offender,Lyra Vale,she stole my mother's most prized jewelry,and dared to put the blame on her sister,sera"

Whispers spread through the crowd,Sera burst into tears as her mother held her,patting her. Sera wrapped her hands around her mother as she spoke.

"Lyra,what did I ever do to you?why frame me?"her pitiful voice made everyone sympathize with her. People glared at lyra, wondering why she would be so cruel.

Luna elaine walked in,her face paled immediately she saw Lyra.Lyra would not steal! Her instincts were always right, and she liked Lyra.

But what could she do.

"I wanted to protect her,i did not know she would steal from the Luna,and -" Sera choked on her words as tears poured out.Alpha Kael voice spoke finally.

"I also noticed that you have been acting strange since your 18 birthday, but I never thought you would steal from the palace!"

"I did not.. take it,Alpha kael.. is my.. mate! He rejec..ted me,he.." she sobbed, wanting to say that they framed her, but the entire pack had burst into laughter.

"You? My mate?" Kael chuckled softly, stepping forward.

"You dare use my name to lie? You,a weak beta claiming to be my mate? What a joke!" Every word he said made anger surge through her and tears she struggled to hold back,began falling uncontrollably.

The people continued to laugh, and her eyes went to where her parents stood.

Her mother looked away,ashamed.

Her father only shook his head before turning to face the alpha.

*So no one believes me?* She clenched her fist as she watched her sister staring at her.

With a victorious smirk. Luna Elaine tried to speak.

"Alpha,please,forgive -"

"No,mother! Stay out of this! How dare she steal from you! And still lie that I am her mate!"

The intensity of his voice made his mother step back.

"If I forgive her,others would not learn."

Lyra lowered her eyes as if she already knew her fate.

"Lyra Vale,found guilty of theft,against the packs rule,you are hereby banished from Cornerstone pack! "

Silence spread through the entire crowd.

Luna Elaine slowly looked away,hating that she could do nothing.

"No!" Sera screamed, shook the crowd as she ran to her sister,she pulled Lyra into a hug.

Sobbing,she whispered softly so only lyra would hear,"You should have stayed as you were all these years,small. Sorry sweetie,this is the end."

As they walked Lyra to the border,her parent did not follow her,it stunned deeply.

She wondered if they ever truly loved her.

She was somehow the bad daughter.The weak one.

Now,the banished One.

Her sister,Sera, smirked,clinging to Alpha kael.

Lyra was numb. She did not say a word. She let the guard drag her towards the border, and somehow, that silence hurt.

Alpha kael ripped the pack mark off her wrist and roughly pushed her to the ground,no pity towards her anymore.

She stared af him as he spoke the next word, "Never return or else you would be killed onsight!"

The rejection from the mate bond surged through her blood as she watched someone who was supposed to show her love and care to treat her like this!

As they turned their back,as if understanding her reality,Lyra screamed. Everything was coming back to her,as she tried to stand,her trembling legs betrayed her and she fell.

Across the border,she could smell rogues,those who hurt girls like her with no scent,and no pack. She barely had any strength left,she couldn't even stand properly.

Fear gripped her as the guards pushed her out of the boundary.
