CHAPTER 25

DAX’S POV

I was nervous, I wouldn't deny it. My heart kept pulsating as my hands trembled while I waited for Ruby to show up. So I tucked my hands into my pockets and paced back and forth inside the waiting room in an attempt to calm myself down.

I did a little shopping myself too, just to look good for Ruby so she wouldn't get distracted by any other man while we were out on our date. I wanted her eyes on only me so I had to look the part.

Ruby’s shopping and makeover had taken hours and now, it was already dark which meant we were going to be just in time for our date and I wondered probably for the millionth time, if she would like the way I had it all planned out.

Someone knocked on the door to the waiting room and it was pushed open the moment I turned to look.
