CHAPTER 37 A Blatant Lie

　　Perry stood there in shock as he watched the woman before him break down in tears.?

　　He felt uncomfortable as he stood there doing nothing, while she lowered her head and kept on crying. Not sure of what to do, he moved over to her table and picked up the tissue paper on it. Then, he handed it over to her.

　　"Here," he simply said as he cut out a piece of tissue paper and handed it over to her.

　　She stretched out her hand and collected it from him while sniffing.?

　　"Thanks," she muttered. Her eyes were red by now as she wiped her face and nose. Then, she threw the used piece in the refuse bin next to her.

　　"What was that about?" Perry asked her when she stopped crying.

　　She couldn't look up at his eyes, because she was embarrassed to have cried in front of him. Instead, she cleared her throat and replied to try to get the attention off her.?

　　"I'm sorry for the outburst, I was just under a lot of stress that I had to pour everything out that way."
