Chapter 29: Feeling Of Being Betrayed

When Kelly heard Rose speak, he looked at her in disbelief and anger. His fury was so intense that his lips trembled, and the words he desperately wanted to say caught in his throat.

"Kelly, yo—" Rose started to say, but Kelly had already turned away, walking briskly towards the exit of the cinema. His chest tightened with rage.

He stepped outside, stopped a taxi, and climbed in. The driver took him home in silence.

Upon arriving, Kelly got out and stood still, staring up at the sky with his hands on his hips.

"I regret losing Lucy over a piece of shit," he muttered bitterly. His eyes drifted to the house, where the security lights were on, but all the interior lights remained off.

He sank onto the grass, gazing upward. His mind was flooded with questions—where had everything gone wrong? He had fallen for Rose’s seduction, had sex with her, and was caught in the act.
