VIVIANA…..

“I have some good news for you, my Luna.” Doctor Starla chimed happily, grinning ear to ear while looking at the report. My heart was pounding hard against my ribcage in tension.

She handed me the report card while saying, “Congratulations, My Luna. You are going to give the pack a heir very soon.” I felt like my heart stopped beating for a while.

I stared at her without blinking my eyes. Her words were ringing in my ear but I couldn't believe my ear. It's been three years I have been waiting to hear this news but when finally Selena blessed me with a child, I couldn't react at all. I felt overwhelmed. I didn't know how to react. Holding the report car in my hands I looked into it and my vision got blurry with unshed tears.

Three teardrops fell on the report card. It was full of happiness. “I'm so happy for you, Vivi. You are three months pregnant.” Starla came to me and hugged me.

“Alpha Ezra will be so happy to know this. You two have been trying so hard to conceive now finally Selena blessed you both with a baby. Now go and give the good news to Alpha Ezra. I nodded at her with a wide smile on my face and left her cabin while hurrying towards my awaiting car.

My driver Steeve was waiting for me beside my black Audi car. As he saw me coming he opened the door for me while bowing his head before me.

“Thank you.” I flashed a smile at him and settled inside the car gracefully.

“Do you wanna go somewhere else or straight home, Luna?” Before starting the car he asked me.

“Go straight home.” I said, unable to hide the smile on my face. I just felt like screaming to the world that finally I'm going to be a Mom.

I leaned on the seat and closed my eyes. I was thinking about Ezra's reaction. He would be over the moon after knowing this news. I can't wait to tell him.

Werewolves spend their entire lives looking for their destined Mates. I always prayed that Ezra would turn out to be my destined Mate. But my world crumbled around me when Ezra announced in the Mating ball that Raya is his fated Mate.

That means I wasn't his destined Mate…..

“Luna, we are home.” The car stopped before the packhouse and I jolted awake from my thoughts. One guard opened the door for me and I headed inside the house.

“Whoa, look who is home? Where were you all the time, bitch. Were you bitching around the pack to get pregnant?” As soon as I entered the house Rachel’s bitter voice rang in my ear.

If Rachel wasn't Ezra's sister I would have smacked her head against the wall. I couldn't just ignore her as my dearest Mother-in-law was sitting beside her.

“Greetings, Mother.” I bowed a little before her.

I wanted to tell her the news but I held myself back. I wanted to tell this news to Ezra first. “I went to the hospital for a routine checkup, Mother.”

“What's the use of wasting money on it? When you know you can't bear a child. You should stop going to the hospital from now on.” I was surprised at her words. But I didn't say anything in return.

“I'm just following your Son’s order Mother. Please give me permission to leave. I want to make tonight's dinner.” I was about to leave when she spoke from behind.

“Don't cook for us. Your father, Raina and I are going to the Blue Moon Pack.” I turned around and pressed my lips into a small smile.

“Okay, Mother.” With that saying I headed straight to our room to change my dress.

I went to the kitchen and made his favorite dishes and his favorite dessert, red velvet cheesecake. Hours passed and when everything was almost done. I went to my room to freshen up, then I wore my favorite white dress, then I set up the table with food and candles. The atmosphere was pretty romantice. It looked like a candle light dinner setup.

I sat on the chair and waited for his return. Usually he comes back at eight. But maybe he's busy tonight with pack matters. I had tried to call him but he didn't pick it up. I didn't want to disturb him at work time so I decided to wait for him.

Time passed slowly. Every minute felt like eternity to me. It was pin drop silence in the house. I have sent the maids back early. Only the clock ticking sound was echoing in the living room. The food became cold. He hates cold food so I went to reheat them. As soon as I was done placing the reheated foods on the table I heard footsteps echoing behind my back.

My heart skipped a beat in anxiety. I turned around to look at him and found him looking all tired while walking inside. I rushed to him filled with excitement to tell him the good news. It's been three years of our marriage but still my heart skips a beat whenever I look at him.

He settled on the sofa all tired and leaned against the headrest while loosening his tie. “Why are you still awake? It's so late. You should have gone to bed.” I smiled at his concern, though there was no warmth in his voice.

“I was waiting for you. They are not home so I thought I could spend some time with you alone. And there is something I want to tell you. “ I explained to him while handing him a glass of water. I always do this when he comes home after work.

Ezra looked past me towards the dining table then shifted his gaze back at me. “I have already eaten.”

“It's okay.” I shook my head with a smile even though I was sad from inside.

“I have something to tell you.” While saying that I watched him looking inside his bag then he pulled out some papers and placed them on the table.

“Read it.” Tapping on the papers he pushed it towards me. I looked at the papers and took them in my hands the moment my eyes fell on the bold letters written on top of the first paper, my blood turned cold.

I could not breathe. My hands were literally shaking. “DIVORCE AGREEMENT”

My eyes scanned the paper and I found my name and his name written on it. I wished so bad that it turned out to be a nightmare. It can't be true, right? How can Ezra divorce me? I'm his Mate for the Goddess’s sake.

I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me. “Why?”

“Why do you….want to…. divorce … me?” I managed to ask and he pulled out some more papers and tossed them on the table.

“Raya is back. And she's pregnant with my child. You couldn't give me an heir for three years, but she is carrying my heir.” I felt like my whole world was crumbling around me. I felt like the room was spinning.

“I’m your Mate, Ezra.” A sob left my mouth and tears brimmed in my eyes.

“Yeah, Second chance. But don't forget she's my Destined Mate. My first Mate. My first love.” I felt like thousands of needles pierced my heart at once as he called her as his first Love.

Who doesn't know that she's his first Love. Everyone knows in the pack. I was always the outsider of this pack. Everyone wanted her as their Luna. No one was happy about me being their Luna. Though they never disrespected me, I'm not unaware of how they talked ill about me behind my back.

“We have been married for three years, Ezra. How can you cheat on me and spend nights with her to impregnate her with your child. And you are saying boldly in my face. Huh!” I looked away from him. Tears rolled down from my eyes.

“What did you expect from me? To stay with you without a child. Three years, Viviana. Three years, we have been married for three years yet you couldn't give me an heir. I'm an Alpha for Goddess's sake. How am I supposed to expand my legacy without a child?”

I looked at him again. “Is there no place for me in your heart? Is it the child only, that matters to you.” He looked into my eyes and there was no ounce of emotion in his eyes.

“You know very well that I never loved you. What was between us was just because of the stupid matebond.” Did he just call the little chemistry between us a stupid matebond?

If you had no feelings for me in your heart then why did you touch me like I was the most important and precious person in your life?

“Look, Viviana. I married you because I was forced by the pack council and Dad. If it wasn't them then I would have rejected you.” My heart shattered at his words. Tears were streaming down from my eyes.

Ezra got up from the sofa and walked towards the big glass door and stood there to look out through the glass. The sky was covered by the dark clouds. Outside the window, thunder rumbled, with heavy rain pouring down. I watched him lit up a cigarette. He took a puff and let out the smock.

“Sign the papers and end this meaningless relationship.” His words gave a whack on my heart very hard. It was better if he would have killed me before telling me this. I was feeling so pathetic now. I loved him with all my heart and he called our relationship a meaningless relationship.

“Raya will be here in the morning. I want you to leave before she comes.” His every word was killing me, each time. So, I sat down on the sofa to sign on it. As I stared at the papers a teardrop splashed on the papers.

“You wanted to say something to me.” I looked up at him with my emotionless eyes.

“Forget about it. It doesn't matter anymore.” Signing the papers I placed the pen with a thud and stood up.

“Let's end this from the root.” I looked at him determinedly and he turned around and looked at me confusedly.

“I, Viviana Nash, reject you, Alpha Ezra Allister as my Mate and Alpha.” His eyes went wide as the pain slammed into him. But he didn't say anything, breaking my last hope.

“I, Alpha Ezra Allister, Alpha of the Blood Moon pack accept your rejection.” I closed my eyes as I felt the pain slammed into me. I felt a tight grip around my heart. It was too much to take. I couldn't breathe at all. I just wish nothing happened to my child. I wish it survived through the pain.

I saw black and white dots dancing before me, making my vision blur. Darkness was about to engulf me in its arms when I felt two arms wrapped around me. And I knew it was none other than Ezra. So I spoke up before I passed out.

“One day, you’re gonna remember me and how much I loved you then you’re gonna hate yourself for letting me go.”

“Viviana! Viviana!” I heard Ezra calling for me before I fell unconscious.

Peace had finally returned to the Ironcrest Palace. The vampires had been shattered, Elion cast into the dungeons, and for the first time in many moons, the pack could breathe without the shadow of war looming over them. Jennifer stood on the balcony of her chambers, the morning sun spilling across the horizon. Her hand drifted unconsciously to her stomach, where new life stirred, a secret she had kept close to her heart for weeks. She turned when she heard footsteps. Reis entered, his dark hair damp from training, his golden eyes softening the moment they met hers. His presence still made her heart race, even after everything they had endured. “You’ve been smiling to yourself all morning,” he teased, crossing the room to wrap his arms around her waist. “Should I be worried?” Jennifer bit back a laugh, pressing her forehead to his chest. “Not worried. Surprised.” Reis leaned back, searching her face. “Surprised?” Her eyes shimmered as she took his hand and placed it against her b

The battle’s echoes had barely faded when Elion tried to flee. His dagger clattered to the stone as he staggered toward a shadowed tunnel, ash clinging to his clothes, his face pale with desperation. But Reis was faster. The Alpha’s hand closed around Elion’s throat, slamming him against the cavern wall. His golden eyes blazed with betrayal.“You sold your soul to leeches.”Elion spat blood, snarling. “You took everything from me! My sister died because of you. You deserved to lose Jennifer, just as I lost her!”Reis’s grip tightened, but his Jennifer’s voice cut through the cavern, steady, commanding.“Don’t kill him.”Reis turned, shocked. Jennifer’s blade still glowed in her grasp, her eyes like stormlight. She stepped closer, her voice ringing with cold authority. “Death would be too easy. Let him live with the weight of what he’s done. Lock him in the dungeons for the rest of his life.”Elion’s eyes widened with fury, but his voice trembled. “You… you’ll regret this.”Jennifer le

When Jennifer woke up, the air was thick with blood and damp stone. Torches sputtered against jagged cavern walls, their light flickering over the bodies that moved in the shadows, vampires, pale and hungry.Jennifer’s wrists were bound in silver chains, the silver burning her skin, making her weak. But her eyes were clear now, sharp, steady. They didn’t know the mistake they had made.A figure stepped forward from the shadows. Familiar. Her breath caught.“Elion…!”The Beta King smirked, the firelight casting harsh angles across his face. “Surprised to see me, Queen Jennifer?”Jennifer’s stomach twisted. “You’re… with them?” She couldn't believe her eyes. He was betraying his own people, his kin but why?Elion's smile darkened, edged with bitterness. “Don’t act shocked. You of all people should know what Reis cost me. My sister.” His voice cracked like a whip, filled with years of venom. “She’d still be alive if it weren’t for him. If it weren’t for you.”Jennifer’s heart pounded, b

The first ripple of unease came the night Reis returned from the city. His car screeched to a halt on the moonlit road, tires skidding against gravel. A figure stumbled into his path, arms flailing before crumpling in front of his headlights.Reis slammed the door open, heart pounding.“Damn it!” He rushed forward, crouching low.A woman. Human! Her face was pale beneath streaks of blood, clothes torn, and her body bore deep cuts as though she had clawed her way through thorns or worse. Her lips trembled, muttering broken syllables, before she collapsed completely.Without hesitation, Reis scooped her into his arms. Her skin was cold, trembling like a leaf in a storm.“Hold on,” he muttered through clenched teeth, pressing her closer as he raced back to the car. “You’re not dying here.”“To the pack hospital.” Reis ordered his driver and the driver started driving rashly to reach the hospital before it's too late. He was already frightened after hitting the girl. The palace hospital

That night, long after the council’s decree and Sabrina’s execution, Jennifer finally drifted into sleep in Reis’s arms. His steady heartbeat and warmth should have been comforting, but her dreams were anything but peaceful.Darkness spread before her like a veil. The forest she knew well Ironcrest’s sacred grounds stood cloaked in blood-red mist. The moon above bled crimson, dripping light onto the earth.A voice whispered through the shadows, ancient and heavy with sorrow.“Child of destiny… the war has only begun.”Jennifer turned, searching for the source, and there she stood, the Moon Goddess, shrouded in silver light. Her eyes glimmered with both compassion and warning.Jennifer’s chest tightened. “Why show me this? Sabrina is gone. Her betrayal ended.”The Goddess’s expression softened, yet her voice resonated with undeniable truth.“Sabrina was only a thread in a greater weave. Darkness clings to her choice, and from it, more will come. You carry the mark of fate, your blood h

The courtyard was hushed long after Sabrina’s execution, as though the very air grieved. No one dared to speak loudly, not even the warriors dispersing from their posts. The banners of Ironcrest fluttered softly, carrying with them the weight of betrayal, blood, and loss.Beta King Elion, her brother remained by the block long after everyone else had left. His hands trembled, fists clenched so tight his knuckles turned white. Tears streamed down his cheeks unchecked. He had once dreamed of standing proudly beside her at court, of their family’s loyalty strengthening Ironcrest’s throne. Now all he had left was ashes of that dream.Jennifer lingered nearby, her chest heavy with conflicting emotions. Relief at Sabrina’s end warred with the memory of her broken laugh and desperate eyes. For all the venom Sabrina had spewed, she had once been family to them.Reis’s arm curled around Jennifer’s waist protectively, anchoring her as much as himself. His voice was low, hoarse from silence. “Sh
