The young girl sat on the hard ground outside her Aunt's house, her small frame trembling in the cold night air. She had been sent out as a punishment for not doing her chores quickly enough, and she knew better than to disobey her Auntie's orders. She huddled in her thin blanket, feeling the chill of the night seeping into her bones. She shivered, wondering just how long her Auntie was going to make her stay out here. Her eyes flicked up to the stars twinkling in the night sky, and she made a wish that she could just go back inside and get warm. But who was she fooling that woman was a devil himself only horns were missing from her head to make her look like a real devil.

" Mom I miss you so much, I'm sick and tired of this life I'm living right now. I can't even say anything to my uncle because he won't believe me. Please help me to get away from here or else I Will end my life. " Melissa murmured She was grief-stricken, her heart heavy with sorrow. Her eyes are reddened by the tears she has shed, and her body feels so cold without her mother's loving embrace. The memories of her mother still lingers, and the pain of her loss is unbearable.

……… The next day

"Hey! You silly girl wake up now. Your uncle is on his way here." Quincy shook Melissa's arm, she slept so peacefully outside the house, her body was curled up in an uncomfortable position but she looked so content and relaxed, she was in deep slumber, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.

Quincy shook Mellisa's body roughly. " MELISSA! I said wake up, if your uncle reached here and found you here I will show you the worst side of me I swear. " Quincy gritted her teeth angrily. Melissa was wide-eyed with a look of sheer terror on her face, her breath came in short, ragged gasps as she shook, trembling uncontrollably. " I-I'm really sorry Aunty….. I didn't mean to oversleep… I-I will start cleaning away. " Melissa jerked into her feet and collected her blanket and ran inside the house.

" I will make sure to make your life a living hell, you will surely regret the day you were born. I won't let this fatherless child control me in my house. " Quincy murmured, with an evil smirk on her face as she followed behind Melissa.

She had created a very difficult environment for Melissa, punishing her for even the slightest violation without any reasonable cause. Despite Melissa's best efforts to remain respectful and obedient, her relentless animosity proved too difficult to ignore.

Mellisa worked as fast as she could. After finishing the chores, she quickly prepared a delicious breakfast for everyone. She served everyone with a warm smile, and even though she was not going to eat the food and cooked herself she did not mind at all.

Instead, she was glad that she was able to finish her chores and make breakfast on time. She was also proud of herself for being able to provide a meal that was enjoyed by everyone.

" Good morning family." Harry greeted with a Warm smile on his face, walking to the table he pulled a chair for himself and sat down.

" Morning husband. Everything is good here. " Quincy forced a smile as she stuffed food in her mouth.

" Nothing good about this morning dad, Melissa slept outside the house and she was not allowed to have breakfast with us," She rolled her eyes in annoyance." I don't see anything good about this morning. " Michelle murmured angrily.

" What! Did Mellissa sleep outside of the house today? Quincy, what is she talking about huh? Where is Melissa now?" Harry's nostrils flared fiercely, a hint of anger igniting the flame of his enthusiasm.

Quincy flashed a cold smile showing her insincerity. " You know what? I'm sick and tired of faking my likeness of your niece. " She placed the fork in her hand on a plate and crossed her hand across her chest, her eyes turning cold. " I took care of this niece of yours ever since she was 10 years old, however, her father is still alive. Why didn't you take her to him when her mother died? I can't take care of her anymore. I tried to make her leave this house but I couldn't. Now I'm going to get her married to chase her out. I can't keep on taking care of an illegitimate child. My reputation is ruined already in these streets all thanks to her. You are going to support me in this or else I will leave this house," She said in a tone full of animosity.

Harry's face reddened in anger, he angrily rose off his chair, reaching where his wife grabbed her hair compelling her to rise off the chair. " How dare you threaten me like that! How can you be so cruel when you are a mother yourself? You have been mistreating my niece in my absence, I'm going to teach you a good lesson that you will never forget. " What is going on here uncle!!!!?" Mellisa demanded as she reached out to her uncle.

Harry let go of Quincy's hair and a sigh escaped from his lips regret all over his face. " I'm really sorry Mellisa I never knew that your Auntie was treating you this way, you endured everything on your own without telling me, don't you trust me at all? "

" Dad, I wanted to tell you everything but Mellisa did not allow me at all. She always smile even though she was suffering in this house because of this evil wife of yours. " Michelle said angrily.

" Michelle, please don't worry because of me. I will get married if that's what Auntie wants, I really don't want to be a burden to anyone. Mellisa flashed a smile. " I don't like to watch your family breaking apart because of me, I will get married to whoever Aunti wants. "

" Melissa, why do you always do this to yourself? I wish I could wipe that smile off your face, even when you are in pain you always smile. " Michelle gritted her teeth, her muscles quivering in anger. " Why do you have to put up with my mother's mistreatment? I'm sick and tired of it, I will not keep quiet anymore. "

" Don't worry. I will get married and leave this house then you won't have to put up with me. " Melissa said and stormed out of the dining room.

" I hate you, mom. You are no longer my mother I hope you rot in hell. " Michelle followed Mellsa with tears in her eyes.

After half an hour of driving, Mellisa drove through the airport, parking her car in the parking lot. She was still lost as to why Max had asked her to drive him here suddenly, but she didn't want to ask either; they had just met, and she didn't have any right to ask more questions about his personal life. Her hand grasped the handle, and she swung the car door open. Stepping out of the car, she whispered, "Have a safe trip, Mister Maxwell." Max stopped in his tracks, his eyes locked with Mellisa's; this very action caused her heart to skip a beat. She couldn't understand why she was so drawn to him; her guts twisted at the thought of watching him walk away. Silence echoed between them; it was quiet, yet somehow it felt loud as their gazes met. The phone's shrill ring shattered the silence; Max slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Wasting no time, he answered the call. "Yes, Mark, tell me..." He blurted it out. Max's brows furrowed as he listened to the other

The triplets grinned from ear to ear as they entered the school with both of their parents. All the other kids gasped in shock when they realized that the Williams children had a father who looked exactly like both boys, especially Maxson. "Everyone's looking at us!" whispered Melina, who was walking in between her brothers. "No wonder why I'm so handsome. I take after my mother and father, and everyone who mocked us will see," Maxson whispered back. "Shhh, Mommy will hear us," Melina warned her brothers. Max couldn't believe his children were like this. He had thought they would be cute and playful, but instead, he was being pranked and blackmailed by his own 5-year-old children. It all felt unreal. "Have they always been like this?" Max asked, breaking the silence between him and Melissa. "Worse than this, yeah. They take after their father because as far as I remember, I was not like this when I was young!" Melissa said, having grown used to their behavior. "No way," Max said

It was already 9 PM when Melissa finished helping her children with their homework, bathing them, changing their clothes, reading them a story, and putting them to sleep. By the time she finished taking her bath, it was already 10 PM. Everyone was asleep, but Melissa couldn't sleep at night due to the terrible nightmares that haunted her. Instead, she spent her night working so that she could have less work to do the next day. After changing into her night clothes, Mellisa gathered her laptop, earphones, and phone before heading out of her room. As she walked towards the pool area, she noticed someone's back facing her. She frowned, wondering who could be there so late at night. She thought of turning back to her room, but then her earphones fell on the ground, making a sound. Suddenly, Max turned around upon hearing the noise. Mellisa quickly picked up her earphones, and as she looked at Max, she felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach. His deep brown eyes looked into hers, and h

The three of them walked slowly towards the couch, their eyes filled with a mixture of hope and uncertainty, resembling lost puppies searching for their way back home. As they approached, the room fell silent, and all eyes turned to them, curious to witness this pivotal moment."Are you our daddy?" They all asked at once. Maxwell, their potential father, felt his heart skip a beat as he gazed at the three children standing before him. His eyes sparkled with an overwhelming sense of joy, and his pulse quickened with anticipation. It was almost surreal to comprehend that he was now a father to not just one, but three beautiful souls. The magnitude of his happiness knew no boundaries, rendering him speechless, unable to articulate the depth of his emotions."Why are you so quiet?" the triplets chimed in unison, their innocent voices filled with curiosity. "Are you truly our daddy?" they asked, their eyes wide with anticipation.Rising from his chair, Maxwell approached them with a mixtu

Maxwell cried tears of joy, and it was as if God had not forgotten about him. His Melissa was still alive! Although he was angry at his grandma, he was so happy that she had saved Mellisa from all the Nadia drama and took care of her and his children. In no time, the car arrived at his mansion, and as soon as the car halted in front of his house, Maxwell ran inside the house. He was about to run upstairs to his room when Shina's voice stopped him. She was sitting on the couch with Michelle. "Dad, what happened?" she asked, rising off the couch and walking towards him."I have very good news," Maxwell said, his voice quivering with joy. "Mellisa and our babies are still alive." Maxwell's words caused China to sigh."Dad, you are just missing her. Mellisa is dead," Shina said sadly. "And now Linda is no more too.""Shina, I saw Melissa with my own two eyes and my grandmother is the one who had faked her death . I saw them together in a mall," Maxwell said. Shina's eyes widened and Mic

It has been a full five days since Linda's funeral, and yet the situation has only worsened. Maxwell has recently discovered that it was none other than Zick's younger sister who had been living abroad all this time, only to return with a so-called "revenge." Can you believe the audacity? Did she have any idea how cruel her brother truly was? Maxwell's eyes bore into the young lady sitting before him, her hands tied tightly behind her back. She was a blonde girl with piercing blue eyes, but her appearance did nothing to sway Maxwell's opinion of her. "So, you killed my daughter?" Maxwell's voice was cold and unforgiving, his disapproval palpable. The air in the room grew heavy with tension. The young lady remained silent, her eyes downcast. Maxwell continued, his tone growing even more gloomy. "Your brother and grandmother are the reason why my wife died. They abused her physically, emotionally, and mentally. And yet, even then, I did not kill them. I gave them the option to surviv
