Sandra's pov
Bang! Bang!!
The sound seems to be coming from the basement.
My bag slipped off at the third sound. I could hear my heart beating so fast as goosebumps wash over my body.
Not again!
Ever since I came here, it's been one horrifying incident to another.
Bang!!!!
My body resonated with the sound as I feel another bolt of adrenaline shooting through me. Somehow, I manage to take long strides to the kitchen and pick up a knife as defence.
I heard footsteps and hide by the kitchen wall, ready to attack my assailant
"Jesus Christ!". Petrified Xanvier screamed as I almost stab him.
I dropped the knife and hold him tightly, sobing in his shoulders.
"Shh! It's okay, baby". He said, patting my head.

Xanvier's pov I watched her as she sleeps gently, wrapping herself like a baby. She looks peaceful. I thought back at the incident that occured earlier and wondered what made her feel like that. I began to think we made a mistake on coming here for something new - Sandra is changing. I drew in a heavy breathe as I dragged myself out of the bed, gently so as not to wake her. Part of my treat last night was to make breakfast in bed for her, and what she went through is enough boost for my lazy self. I strode to the living room with nothing but my tight pants. Memories of our little adventure flooded my mind as I walked down the stairs. Happily. My phone buzzed halfway into my cooking and when I picked it up it was my boss. I was excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because it's been a while I heard his voice, even though we talked yesterday. Nervous because it's a work free day. A Saturday. "Hello! Sir".
