I instructed Ezra to inform me when she wakes but I haven't seen him and it's midnight already. I don't even care about him right now, I'm just confused why I'm beginning to have nightmares about my past back. I thought maybe the shock from Diane's assault must have caused it. I can never forgive Diane for the pain she put me through, I can never forgive Darius too for locking me up, the fact that I'm his mate made it hurt more. A knock on the door but I ignored it, the person knocked several times but I still ignored it. And then the person was unlocking the door, "Don't come in, I don't want to see you" I yelled. "It's not Darius" Ezra said and the door opened, he was by the doctor that attended to me before. She smiled at me as he entered but I snubbed it, looking away. Why would she even smile at me, she acted rudely the last time we met. She brought out her equipment and started checking some of my body vitals.

MY MATE, MY PROTECTOR.CHAPTER THIRTEENEstelle's POV. I woke up to a stench of dried blood and wet earth. I felt my cheek wet too, it was on the floor. I opened my eyes slowly but I was in a dark space, I sat up trying to make out where I was, blinking my eyes several times. Then I remembered I was taken by someone, I remembered everything that happened. I felt the wound on my leg was already cleaned and bandaged, I knew it would heal soon. I was unable to see anything because it was too dark, I tried walking around and I hit a wall. Tracing it with my hand, I realised it was like a four corner room but no door. It was just stuffy, dark and reeked with blood. No single ray of light entered the room, I know I'm not dreaming so I'm probably locked up in an underground cell or something.
