MY MATE, MY PROTECTOR CHAPTER ONEEstelle's POV Running, fighting, surviving, hiding… violence. That's all my life has been about ever since my pack was invaded and ended. I had nothing left. It's been eight years since I became a rogue wolf, fighting different species of wolves and all sorts of other wide animals to survive and thankfully, I'm still alive. Always on the run as usual, I stopped by a river to drink and take a nap. The water was cold and refreshing, the perfect thing I needed to cool my body after running for hours under the summer sun. I was lying in a large bed, and the pillow beneath my head was soft and plush. I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to clear my vision. The room was bright and airy, with sunlight streaming through the windows. It smelled of flowers and fresh linen. Slowly, the environment came into focus, and I realised where I was, in a strange bedroom, not in a dirty abandoned hut, not by the Riverside, not beside tree roots, but I was on a comfortable bed in a nice room.
