CHAPTER 4

Jonathan got into his black car with his assistant, Sergeant Brown, who asked, "What do you plan on doing to help your lover? You know the T-Group is very dangerous, and we've been looking for evidence for ages with no luck. They are very smart and vigilant. Why would your girlfriend's father get himself entangled in a business dealing with Damian Tucker? I'm sad, but I see no help coming their way."

"Don't say that nonsense. Damian is getting on our nerves, and as officers of the law, we must apprehend him and hand him over to the government," Jonathan replied.

"I know... but how do you intend to do that? Your father tried to get Damian's father behind bars but failed, and now you want to risk your life to fight with the devil? He has the higher-ups backing him. So, I'm suggesting you wash your hands of this case and help your girlfriend raise the money. That's if Damian doesn't come for her, as I can see that she is beautiful and his kind of woman that he messes with."

"Don't you dare say that crap to me!" Jonathan growled as he grasped Brown's shirt.

"I will kill Damian before he gets his hands on my woman. Start the car; we are heading back to the police station to report the case," Jonathan insisted, and Brown surrendered.

"Alright." Brown started the car and drove off to the police station branch.

In a luxury white mansion, several black cars arrived and parked on the estate grounds.

"Bring Mr. Dawson out and take him to the lockup room," Damian ordered his men as he left them, and went to his mansion.

On his way home, Damian got a phone call earlier from his father stating that it was urgent and he was needed at his home.

Damian walked ahead to his mansion. The men in black working for him and guarding around the mansion bowed and welcomed him.

They had escorted Mr. Max to the cell they built to lock up their prisoners.

It was a simple room, built like a boy's quarter apartment at the back of the exquisite mansion.

It was built away from the mansion, so the men in black bundled Mr. Max away like he was a criminal and took him into the room. They locked the door and left him.

"Shout all you want. There's no one to come rescue you," the men in black warned and left.

*****

Damian entered the living room and went upstairs to his bedroom. He ignored responding to his father's call, thinking that his father was calling him about business or why he went ahead and had Mr. Max apprehended.

Damian recalled the sight of Alicia Dawson. He had seen her before during his visit to the town's hospital.

He wanted her and knew of the relationship she was in. He decided to use her father as a tool to get her.

"There's no way that the Dawson family would be able to raise such a huge amount of money," Damian said, smiling as he went to take a bath.

Entering his bathroom, Damian stripped off his black hand gloves, took off his shirt and trousers, and prepared for his bath.

After he was done, he came out of the bathroom and dressed in sleepwear. His phone rang, and he took it from the shelf to see who was calling him.

"Boss, should I arrange for some ladies for you tonight?" Jeff asked.

"No. Contact the Dawson family and let them know about my offer," Damian replied. He was in no mood for any woman.

"What offer is that, boss? We just left their mansion not too long ago," Jeff replied confusedly.

"I know. Let them know that I offer to have Alicia Dawson as my wife in exchange for her father's release. Failure to show up tomorrow will get her father punished."

"Oh! Is that all, boss?" Jeff asked, and Damian replied, "Yes. Send the proposal to Mrs. Dawson tonight. I expect to see Alicia first thing tomorrow morning."

"Alright, boss. I am on it," Jeff ended the call and proceeded to contact Mrs. Dawson's number.

Damian smirked, awaiting Alicia's reaction the following day. He went back to his office to get himself busy with some other online deals that needed his attention.

*****

In the Dawson's home, Jennifer came out of the room after her failed attempt to reach her older brother on the call.

"Mom, what are we going to do to get Dad out of the T-Group's clutches? We cannot wait for Dad's brother to help us, and I don't know if Jonathan will be able to help us," Alicia spoke to her mother, standing in the living room.

Jennifer sighed and took a seat on the couch. "I don't know, Alicia. But you shouldn't tell your boyfriend too much about your father. We cannot trust those policemen, even if he is your boyfriend. They shouldn't publicize us on the news, and tell him you don't know anything about your father's job."

"But Mom, Jonathan is only trying to help us. Why not tell him what you know about Father?" Alicia said, but her mother's eyes narrowed at her.

"No, Alicia! You shouldn't dare to trade love over your family. Your father's life is in danger, and you think getting the police boyfriend of yours every detail of your father's business will help us? What will happen after your father gets his release, and they find something off? The police will come after him for fraud or anything else they want to use to hold him under arrest. So no!" Jennifer looked serious, and Alicia swallowed hard.

"So, what do you plan to do now, Mom?" Alicia asked, while Samantha said, "Mom, I don't know who to turn to for such a huge amount of money. I can only be able to pay up 1 million dollars. The remaining 9 million dollars is beyond my limit. Why not ask Damian Tucker if he can accept another offer?"

"Other offer like what?" Jennifer asked.

Samantha shrugged, blushed, and told her mother, "To become Damian's woman."

"What?" They gasped.

"You're crazy, Samantha! How dare you think of offering your body to that lunatic!" Caden charged towards his younger sister to smack her, but his mother interrupted him.

"Caden, don't you dare hit your sister! What can you do to help your father? You are a lawyer, yet you couldn't do anything to challenge Damian! Only one kick of his boot sent you flying away, and now you raise your hands on Samantha, forgetting that your father's life is in danger."

"But Mom..." Caden tried to speak, but his mother cut him off. "I don't want to hear it. Samantha is right, and we should think of how to contact Damian and offer the proposal to him. Samantha is beautiful and a model here in the country, so Damian will consider her proposal."

"And what if Damian rejects Samantha's offer? You know his record with multiple women. What if he is a carrier of any disease? Haven't you thought about the dangers in having Samantha become his woman? A man who engages in multiple women and a Mafia boss," Caden frowned, his expression stern.

Jennifer shook her head and replied, "I cannot sit back and watch your father get killed. The police wouldn't be able to do anything to help him. Damian is a mafia in this part of the state, and the best we can do is make our proposal and try our luck so that he doesn't kill your father over his debt. Besides, you benefited from it. You went to the highest law school because of your father."

"But I never asked Dad to engage with Damian," Caden replied, and his mother frowned. "You are only an ingrate, and I wish I had another son who is smarter than you."

Caden frowned, unable to rebel against his mother. Just then, her phone rang, and she took it up to see who the caller was.

"Who's calling you, Mom?" they asked her.

"I don't know. Let me find out," Jennifer replied and answered the call. "Hello, who am I speaking with?"

When Alicia pressed the doorbell of Damian's mansion, she stood there nervously, wondering if he would see her. What if he didn't want to see her, and his marriage offer was off?(Ding!)Alicia pressed the doorbell once more, and the huge door pulled open. Standing there at the door was Damian Tucker. He wore a white shirt and black trousers as he peered at Alicia's face.Alicia's cheeks flushed as she had not expected Damian to be the one to open the door for her. "Why must it be him? Why not someone else?" she thought, but greeted him swiftly, "Good morning."Taking a look at Alicia's face and the green dress that she was wearing, Damian's gaze darkened. Why was she dressed like this? Was she trying to seduce him? Damian pondered as the green dress perfectly accentuated her feminine features."Morning, why are you here?" Damian asked, his voice cold as he peered at her face."Um, I came to see you regarding something serious," Alicia said, and she lowered her head."Something seri

What am I going to do?" she asked herself, pacing about in her room. The words of her father's revelation after visiting the Milian's residence echoed in her mind.'The Milians want to use you against Damian, but unlike Samantha, you will be tortured.'"Mmm," Alicia shut her eyes. She made up her mind to go and visit Damian and to end the whole drama. As she went into her bathroom, Alicia bathed quickly, then she got out, dried her body, and wore a green dress and black slip-on shoes. The green dress was a long-sleeved dress that covered her hands and ended at her wrist.Alicia moved over to her mirror to style her hair and to make up her face to look pleasing.Once Alicia was done with her makeup and her hair, she combed her hair and applied a hair cream to it to make her scent feminine and divine.Alicia then grabbed her handbag, took her phone from the shelf. She glanced at the screen and saw that s

Grant returned home that evening and went to check on Maria first. As he arrived at the underground basement and saw the state that his only younger sister was in, his fist clenched. "Maria, why are you torturing yourself for a man who doesn't want you?" Grant asked after he ordered Simon to unlock the door of the room that Maria was locked inside. Maria looked so broken. Her fair figure appeared pale as she remained silent, not wanting to say a word. She refused to eat or drink anything. Grant crossed the distance between them. He approached Maria on the bed and saw that she was awake, but she refused to say a word to him. Grant lifted Maria up in his firm arms. Only then did she struggle, wanting him to put her down. "Put me down, brother! Since you want to punish me, go on, but I will not marry anyone except Damian," Maria said stubbornly, and Grant sighed. "Fine. Do as you wish, and that's if Damian decides to marry you, but I will not back you up or have my men commit any c

It seemed that even Lady Jennifer was worried after she heard what her husband said to Alicia. She looked from Alicia's face to her husband and asked, "Is there no way to settle this amicably with the Milians? Why will they drag Alicia into an issue that they have with Damian?" Mr. Max appeared thoughtful and he said, "I do not know. I have also thought about it and I think they were looking for Damian's weakness to get to him. After all, the Milians and the Tuckers are sworn enemies." "Mm," Lady Jennifer frowned and looked at Alicia, who was standing speechless in the living room. Alicia did not have anything to say to her father. After recovering from the shock of what her father said, as it was either she leave for the countryside or marry Damian. Which would she prefer? Alicia shut her eyes and went to pick up her bag. "Alicia, dinner is ready. You should come and join your father and me for dinner," Lady Jennifer said, and Alicia replied, "Alright, Mom. • Mafia Damian's Bride   Chapter 89

Mr. Troy went back into the mansion and paced about in the living room. He contacted Grant to let him know about Max's visit. "Grant, you need to let go of Samantha right now. You do not know how capable her father is in hijacking some of our clients and drug investors. Let her go back home and you can choose to continue your affair with her. It's becoming a kidnapping if you refuse to hand her over to her family," Mr. Troy vented his anger over the phone. Grant had gone on a short business trip that morning. "Dad, when I return, we can discuss this and do not let go of Samantha. How about Maria?" Grant asked, his voice calm, and Mr. Troy sighed. "Maria still refuses to eat or go on a date with Damon. I do not know what to say to Mark. Now, I have to cancel the marriage arrangement if Maria doesn't want to compromise," Mr. Troy said, as he was also angry because of his daughter. "It's all my fault, Dad. We shouldn't have involved Maria in this. If she refuses to cooperate, then I
