Elowen:

I knocked on my fiancé’s door and opened it without his permission. He stood in the center of the room, bare chested, with a towel wrapped around his waist, making my face flush instantly. I had never seen him naked, and with our wedding only a few hours away, I let the lust in my virgin heart take over.

“Lou,” he called out, his eyes widening, and a smile spread across my lips.

I shut the door and walked over to him, kissing his chin and pressing myself against his bare body.

For someone who cursed my father for handing me over to the Guerras as a debt repayment, I had grown to adore my fiance, Adjo, because he was the nicest person after my father. Too bad my father died before this day.

“What are you doing here? You need to leave!” He said coldly, pulling me at arm’s length to reveal his hardened expression.

He grabbed my hand and hurriedly led me to the door.

“I cannot stop thinking about you, and I am afraid two hours is far too long,” I said as he opened the door.

He cupped my face and kissed my lips briefly, eliciting strong emotions in my stomach.

These feelings vanished as soon as I heard a female voice.

“Babe, the shower’s cold.” She said.

I pushed Adjo away and stormed into the room, only to find a stack naked blonde woman by his bathroom door.

I felt my heart stop for a moment. The nostalgic feeling I had two years ago when my father handed me over to Adjo’s family rushed through my veins, and a sense of betrayal fell over my shoulder.

“Elowen, I can explain...” Adjo tried to hold me, but I slapped his hands away.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I stared at him silently.

I realized that my entire life had been built on a lie, and I had been conditioned to keep myself pure for my husband, but just a few hours before my dreamy beach wedding at the Guerra estate, my husband is cheating.

“Stop being a pussy!” the lady yelled

“Adjo has been mine, and I am returning to claim what is mine. He needs a real woman who will give him what he desires, not your virgin ass.” The lady said, and I charged at her with a slap.

She tried coming after me, but Adjo restrained her and we all yelled until the door to Adjo’s room swung open and Laura Guerra, Adjo’s mother, stepped in.

“What on earth is going on here?” She yelled, striking the floor with her walking stick.

“Adjo’s cheating!” I said, rushing to her with tears shimmering in my eyes.

“Put on some clothes, child!” She yelled at the lady. “And you, are not you supposed to be in your chamber preparing for the wedding?” She asked, and my eyes widened.

She grabbed a large fold of my hair and dragged me to my room, pushing me hard into it.

“Who my child chooses to be with is none of your business. He owes you no loyalty because you are only debt repayment. A slave who needs to serve my son.”

Her words stung deep.

“Mother!” I called out in shock, but then she struck me with her stick on my head.

“Do not call me mother, and do not waste my time. The guests have arrived, and the bride needs to come down for the wedding.” She said, then slammed the door in my face, leaving me in tears.

Although I was a naive girl who had spent her entire life reliant on her father, I knew I had to leave this place. Adjo was a lying bastard, and I did not need to be killed to realize it.

As I paced around the room, an idea formed in my head. I got everything I needed, which was basically my hundred dollars and an inhaler. Then I waited patiently. As soon as I heard the maid who was going to dress me in the hallway, I stood by the door, holding a vase.

When she opened the door, I slammed the vase into the back of her head, sending her spiraling to the floor.

“Sorry, Sorry.” I apologized as I shut the door and locked it.

I quickly grabbed her, undressed her, wrapped her in a blanket, and dragged her into the walk-in closet. I dressed in her uniform, which was a flared black gown with a large apron and cap. Then I left the room.

I hurried down the hallway, planning the best escape route while avoiding contact with all the butlers and guards. Finally, I made it downstairs, but then I heard Adjo and his mother approaching and yelling at each other. This prompted me to dash into the garage, where I got into a random car.

“This is all your fault and father’s fault!” Adjo yelled. “I have always loved Louisa. Yes, her womb is dry, but I cannot spend eternity with Elowen, and if you and dad had not been caught up in your selfish act, she would have been a servant, but because she had royal mafia blood, you tied me to her!”

His words hurt my heart, but the mention of me being a royal mafia made me think of my father’s stories. He used to tell me about our family and how he lost everything in a war the year I was born, and he promised to restore my life until he incurred a massive debt.

“Shut up, child!” Mrs. Guerra yelled.

“No, you need to shut up!” Adjo broke a glass. “I am going to get a drink and walk the aisle with Elowen, and I promise you one thing: I will make her life a living hell and ensure that you do not have any grandchildren!”

I heard the garage door open, and Adjo approached the car I was in.

Shit! I cursed.

A phone call distracted him, and while I was thinking about how to escape, I stole the car’s safety dagger and gun, then lay still.

Adjo got into the car, and I waited patiently until he came to a halt at the bar run by his family. When he turned off the ignition, I pointed the gun at his head, eliciting a scream from his mouth as the cold metal grazed his skin.

I was terrified because I did not know how to use a gun, but it was what my broken heart desired. For the bastard to die!

When he looked in the rearview mirror and saw me, his eyes widened.

“Look, Elowen, I am sorry, and what happened was a...”

“Quit lying!” I yelled, attempting to maintain my grip on the gun. “Do not bother checking; this is your gun.” I said, and he swallowed hard.

“What... What do you want? Please lower your gun and I will give you anything,” he said, and I foolishly did, only to be groped by a scarf that pressed my cheek down to the headrest of his seat, while he choked my throat.

He pulled the door open, and in fear that he would grab the gun, I pulled out the dagger and stabbed his hand. He fell outside on the rocky ground and nursed his hand. When I saw the key was still in the steering, I climbed into the driver’s seat.

At that point, the door to the bar opened, and two men rushed towards him. I turned on the ignition and reversed the car as far as I could.

“Don’t you stand there. Shoot her! Kill that bastard!” he yelled.

My heart sank, but I was determined to escape, so I marched the throttle and sped away as the men fired aimlessly at the car. Good thing the Guerra’s drove bullet-proof cars.

“You cannot hide from me, Elowen, and when I find you, I will end you. This is not the last!” Adjo threatened.

His words rang in my ears as I sped down the highway, and I knew I had to get away or die trying.

Not only did I ruin a wedding with prestigious guests from around the world, but I also stabbed the firstborn son of the fifth generation of Guerra, the most notorious mafia cartel in Los Angeles. My life was doomed...

He handed it to her, giving her a clean glass of water.Elowen took it and rested her head on the pillow.“Thank you,” she muttered.“I have to leave now because Guilia will be home soon. I trailed her to a club, which I believe she is reserving for her final blow, and now you know her plans. You need to act fast. Call me if you need help,” he said, and she nodded.“She will probably get Eliot in trou

Third-person POV:The ear-splitting tone of her phone ringing woke Elowen up. She groaned, grabbing it to check on the caller. When the name Flynn showed up, she flung it away, and putting her hand across her aching head.“Fuck!” she groaned, pulling herself up from the bed.She walked to Guilia’s room in search of painkillers. On getting there, she gave the door a gentle tap, and opened it to see Guilia still in bed.Guilia opened her eyes sluggishly with a yawn when she saw Elowen, and then she shut it almost immediately.“Please, I need some painkillers,” Elowen said, and Guilia’s eyes flew open at once. She thought it was the right time to feed her some meth in the guise of painkillers. Her lips spread across her face with a smile, and she jumped out of bed.“I’m sorry, you must have had a lot to drink,” she said to Elowen, who supported her aching head with one hand. “Please sit,” Julia grabbed her hand and pulled her gently towards the bed. Then she walked to her closet and retu

Third person POV:“Do you love him?” Eliot asked Elowen, and she looked at him with her brows drawn down. “Answer me, please. I need to know if all I have been doing has been a waste of time. Was he the one who broke your heart?” He asked, and she scoffed.“Eliot, I think you need to leave.” Elowen said in a low tone, placing her hand on her forehead.“I won’t leave until you give me a reason. I love you, Elowen, and I can’t deny the chemistry I saw between the both of you. If he is the reason you are heartbroken, then tell me. I will fly you out of the country, take you…”“Eliot stop!” She yelled, and he came to a halt. “I’m heartbroken because the man who wed me has abandoned me for a month. I have heard nothing about him since he left two days ago,” she said with her voice cracking, and tears hanging in her eyes.Eliot’s eyes widened and his mouth fell ajar.“You.. you are married?” He asked, and she scoffed.“Yes, and that is what I have been trying to tell you the entire evening.

  • Mafia's Dark Desire   Truth or Dare

Third POV:“Guilia, what is going on here?” Flynn asked the moment he stepped into the apartment, which was filled with caterers arranging meals on the table in the living room.“I’m hosting a party; I thought I told you?” He asked, and he stared at her, trying hard to hold back on his words.“No, you haven’t, and I need to know why we are doing this.” He said, and she chuckled, getting on her tiptoe to kiss his cheek.“I just want to have a little party. Me, you, Paris, John, Elowen, and her new guy.”His eyes widened when she said this, and he immediately sensed a scheme because he knew Elowen would not willingly set herself up, knowing what Dante would do.“Elowen and her new man? That sounds like you, and I do not support whatever this is,” he said, marching upstairs.Guilia rolled her eyes, turning to see a server walking to the table with a bowl of wine.“Gimme that,” she said, taking the bowl of wine from her.“Here, you may leave now,” she said, handing a cheque to the lady.S

She would freak out if you mentioned it. Bye.”Guilia heaved a sigh before calling Elowen back.“Have fun at the mall. She just got out of a messy heartbreak and isn’t open to dating again, but I can tell that you’ve got eyes on her.”He raised a brow with a nod as he sipped his glass of wine.“Well, I’m here to make an offer.”Eliot dropped his glass, staring at her while she took a seat.“Well, I must admit, she caught my fancy. I will be in the city for a few weeks, and I would like to try my luck. I might as well surprise my family with a wife,” he said, and a smile spread across Guilia’s face. “So, what’s your offer?” He pressed his lip in a fine line, holding onto the glass of wine with both hands.“Elowen and I are like b
