A beep from another call was interrupted Guilia’s speech, and she paused, checking her phone to see an unknown number calling.

“I forgot to tell you, and I’m sorry, babe. I’ll talk to you later,” she said, ending the call.

She picked the next call.

“Hey, it’s Eliot, and I’m getting ready to go to the mall.” Guilia sighed.

“Yea, sure. She’ll be out in a..” her phone beeped, and she saw Elowen’s name pop up. “Great, she is calling, and I am sure you’ll have a great day,” she said.

“Oh, I’ll get going then.”

“Yes, and oh, can you leave out the part that I told you about her breakup? She would freak out if you mentioned it. Bye.”

Guilia heaved a sigh before calling Elowen back.

“Have fun at the mall. I will meet you soon,” she said, ending the call and getting out of bed.
