Giving Elowen a job was the last thing I wanted to do, but I had little to no option. I could not understand why she did not want me to punish the guy. As much as I wanted her to be safe, I kept checking my phone every minute, hoping she would call because she had run into some trouble and needed assistance, or because she had finally realized it was not best for her to work, but my phone did not ring.

I had a meeting with the Cobra Cartel, the whisperers, and Blanches on the dormant sales of drugs in the city. Things were better when my father was alive. He was the untouchable man in the entire city, and everyone, including the police, feared him. Now New York was almost dead, thanks to my idiot brother, who had only siphoned the funds.
