Thirty one: Somber

A week had passed already and it was starting to be the usual routine. Waking up early in the morning, bathing, barely eating and going back to sleep till evening.

After I had confirmed what Suzy wore before she died, Saint had taken me to the morgue and she indeed, was beyond recognition.

I couldn't look at her for a second time, guilt and sadness overwhelmed me which was why I insisted her funeral be held soon. After all, I was her only family remaining because our mum was as good as dead to us.

We had put the funeral two days later. And a night before then, Saint had a package delivered to my room containing a black dress and black shoes to wear for the funeral. I was grateful for that as I had not even thought of what to wear for it. He had paid for everything for the funeral too and I was just grateful to him as well.

I had also put my anger aside for a few minutes and texted Marcel informing him about Suzy's funeral and had given him the benefit of the doubt that he at least
