ANMELDENSeravyn POV
“Why, Caelrix?” I whispered, hoping he would be honest with me. “You can’t just reject me without any explanation,” I added.
“I already told you the reason. Omega, you need to face reality and accept it. I can’t and won’t be with someone as weak as you,” he said. I had meant those words only for him, but he answered loud enough that everyone heard, making me feel completely humiliated in front of the whole pack.
“That’s right. We shouldn’t have a Luna like her. She should’ve just left.”
“She actually thought she had a chance. Poor girl.”
The werewolves around us started whispering harsh words. I felt like I had ruined the entire moment.
He no longer looked at me the way he used to. Everything about him felt cold now.
“No…” I muttered to myself. “Caelrix, you weren’t like this before.” I stared at him, trying to convey everything I felt, then turned and walked away from the crowd without waiting for their approval.
Tears streamed down my face as I left them behind.
I still didn’t understand why he had rejected me. It hurt so much. He wasn’t like this. Caelrix would never just call me “Omega.” He had promised to accept me for who I was, no matter my rank.
There had to be a reason.
I refused to give up like this.
There was a lot of commotion, and people seemed confused by my reaction.
I couldn’t believe it.
“I can’t accept his rejection on my special day…” I muttered.
“Seravyn, is something wrong?” one of the Omegas asked me.
“You’re causing a scene. You should have accepted his rejection gracefully instead of looking so desperate.”
“You mean nothing to him anymore. How can you still expect”
“I’d appreciate it if everyone would stop talking,” I interrupted sharply, cutting them off. They exchanged confused glances.
“Caelrix loves me… Maybe he’s doing this because—”
“He just humiliated you in front of everyone. He made his feelings clear. He’s our Alpha now, and we have to respect him. Seravyn, remember he’s not a teenager anymore. We shouldn’t expect him to keep promises he made when he was younger and less mature.”
No matter what they said to convince me, I still wanted closure. I needed to know more. I couldn’t believe them. They were just Omegas who admired Caelrix. It was easy for them to tell me to give up.
“Don’t try to stop me,” I whispered. “You don’t know what my relationship with Caelrix was like. I know him better than any of you.”
*******
The moon was shining brightly, and I wanted to talk to Caelrix. I needed closure. I stopped at the corner when I suddenly heard his footsteps along with someone else’s.
“I believe we need an alliance, Caelrix,” I heard an elder say.
“I understand,” Caelrix replied coldly.
He had changed so much. His voice sounded deeper, more masculine now.
“We only have one option: marry the daughter of another pack.” My eyes widened when I heard that.
It made my stomach twist with stress.
He was my mate. It wasn’t fair for him to marry someone else after promising to marry me!
“That’s their strongest offer, and it’s the best way to keep the pack safe. It’s a win-win, really. She would be good for you.”
“We can’t let the worst things happen again.”
I heard Caelrix chuckle. “I’ll think about it,” he said, sounding almost eager.
I closed my eyes and quickly slipped back to my room, afraid I might have been spotted.
I didn’t know what to feel, but I knew I had to talk to Caelrix.
Because nothing about this made sense…
Caelrix didn’t just change overnight. He had been gone for years, sent away after the incident that nearly tore the pack apart. No one spoke about it openly, but everyone knew something had happened during his training beyond our borders.
Something that hardened him…
Something that made the elders desperate enough to start talking about alliances and war the moment he returned.
Not right now it wasn’t the best time but I couldn’t let him marry a woman he didn’t love just for an alliance. That wasn’t like him. He was smarter than that.

Finally, morning came, and I thought it was the perfect time to speak with him.
I dressed quickly and left my room to find Caelrix. But I noticed people were already coming out of their rooms and gathering together. It looked like an announcement was about to be made.
I could smell Caelrix’s scent nearby.
I spotted one of the Omegas and hurried over to her. “What’s going on?” I asked.
“I’m not sure, but it has something to do with the new Alpha. We need to head back to the main gathering hall,” she replied, walking ahead.
I let out a disappointed sigh, realizing I wouldn’t get to talk to Caelrix privately.
As I entered the main gathering hall, I saw Caelrix standing there. But what shocked me even more was the familiar girl beside him.
They were holding hands.
As I got closer, my stomach dropped. It was Thessaly Van Everhart, the girl responsible for my parents’ death. The one who filled me with rage.
Anger flared up inside me.
“She is Thessaly Van Everhart, the woman I’ve chosen to be with and the one I’ll stay with forever.” Every word Caelrix spoke felt like a knife twisting in my chest, bringing fresh tears to my eyes.
“I want to announce that Thessaly, daughter of the Alpha of the Black River Pack, will be taking the role of my Luna. Our wedding will take place tomorrow.” He declared.
I felt a deep, crushing pain in my heart as I watched them share a passionate kiss in front of the cheering crowd. Meanwhile, I grew weaker with every second from the emotional agony.
Seravyn POVI stayed on my knees, tears still sliding down my cheeks. “I apologize…”Caelrix didn’t even look back. He just walked out with Thessaly tucked against his side like she belonged there. The door shut with a soft click that felt louder than any slap.Naryvex’s voice came gently in my head. “Even if it means walking away from this pack for good?”I swallowed hard and nodded, even though she couldn’t see me. “Yes.”The words hurt, but they also felt… freeing. Like something tight in my chest had finally snapped.I pushed myself up, wiped my face, and started throwing clothes into an old bag. Today was supposed to be their perfect wedding. The woman who destroyed my family was about to stand beside Caelrix as Luna, and the thought made my stomach turn. But underneath the anger, something else was growing, a quiet, stubborn decision.I wasn’t going to stay here and watch it happen.Later, in the old cabin deep in the woods where Caelrix and I used to hide when we were kids,
Seravyn POV“What is this girl doing here? Her intense stare unsettled me more than anything else.“Why don’t you just ask her? She’s the one who stole our mate’s affection,” Naryvex, my wolf, said. I quickly pushed her out of my mind. I really didn’t want her claiming that Thessaly had actually won.I still held onto hope for Caelrix’s future.“What brings you here?” I asked confidently as I stood up from the bed.Thessaly grinned mischievously. “I’m embarking on an exciting new journey. This pack is mine now, since I’ll soon be the official Luna.” The way she smiled afterward lit a fiery rage inside me.“You will never be his Luna,” I shot back, recounting every detail. That only made her burst into laughter and clutch her chest.“Oh,” she whispered. “What was that?”“I am his mate!” I shouted. “You’re not! I can’t understand what you did to suddenly become his future Luna. Caelrix loves me… He promised to marry me ”“Hold on. Wait,” she interrupted, raising her hand to stop me mid
Seravyn POVIt felt like the final chapter of my life had already been written.I still couldn’t understand why Caelrix would betray me like this. He had made me a promise. How could he change so drastically? What was he thinking, allowing the woman responsible for my parents’ death to become his Luna? The fact that I was his mate meant we were destined to be together. Part of the mess this pack was in could be blamed on her own pack. I didn’t want to blow things out of proportion, but I couldn’t just let this happen. Thessaly had completely ruined me. She was the driving force behind everything that had gone wrong. After trying to push that memory aside, I quickly stepped in front of the entire crowd.Shock washed over me, and my breath caught in my throat. Suddenly, every eye in the room was fixed on me.“Caelrix!?” I shouted. My mouth trembled as a wave of betrayal crashed over me. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being completely betrayed.“What is she doing?” Thessaly m

Seravyn POV“Caelrix…” I let out a moan, his name slipping from my lips in a breathless whisper.I could feel Caelrix inside me. I loved the way he touched me, the way he kissed me. He made me crave more with every second. I looked up at his face, which seemed a little blurry, but I knew this was real.He gently tucked my hair behind my ear, his fingers sending a shiver racing down my spine. Then he leaned in and pressed his lips to my skin, leaving a warm trail that made my heart pound.“This is fucking good, Seravyn…” He was moving so fast he was practically a blur. I moaned louder, my nails digging into his back as our passion built higher. “Caelrix, please don’t stop… I want it faster…” I begged, my voice thick with need.“Fuck it, Seravyn,” he whispered hotly against my ear, his breath making me tremble. I pulled him even closer, wrapping my arms around him as tightly as I could.I clung to him desperately, my fingers refusing to let go. It felt incredible.“Uh…” I whimpered,
