LOGINSeravyn POV
It felt like the final chapter of my life had already been written.
I still couldn’t understand why Caelrix would betray me like this. He had made me a promise. How could he change so drastically? What was he thinking, allowing the woman responsible for my parents’ death to become his Luna? The fact that I was his mate meant we were destined to be together.
Part of the mess this pack was in could be blamed on her own pack. I didn’t want to blow things out of proportion, but I couldn’t just let this happen.
Thessaly had completely ruined me. She was the driving force behind everything that had gone wrong. After trying to push that memory aside, I quickly stepped in front of the entire crowd.
Shock washed over me, and my breath caught in my throat. Suddenly, every eye in the room was fixed on me.
“Caelrix!?” I shouted. My mouth trembled as a wave of betrayal crashed over me. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being completely betrayed.
“What is she doing?” Thessaly muttered under her breath when she looked at me. A sly laugh slipped from her lips as our eyes met. It felt like she was quietly judging my outfit, even though her own sense of style was clearly superior.
“If I could just talk to Caelrix, I’d be so grateful! Just let me do that!” I raised my voice, and the air filled with hushed whispers. “We need to talk,” I murmured to him, staring at him with eyes full of concern.
“It’s about us…”
Honestly, I was so embarrassed by my own behavior. He looked at me with pure confusion on his face.
“What are you talking about?” His question made it sound like he had never known me at all. The way he looked at me sent chills across my skin. Thessaly kept that sly grin on her lips while he held her hand firmly.
I bit the inside of my cheek. “Caelrix, I thought you loved me. How can you do this to me? There are so many women out there, why would you choose the one who destroyed my life?”
“Hey, it’s time for you to go!” When the guard tried to grab my arm, I pushed him away with all my strength.
I glanced at the people around me and muttered my frustration under my breath before turning back to Caelrix.
“You can’t let this happen! She’s the one who caused me the most pain, Caelrix! You and I have been mates since the beginning. I can’t accept this. How can you allow it?” I paused,
“I know you probably had to do this for an alliance, but you should really rethink your decision”
“You need to watch your mouth, Omega. I can barely even recognize you anymore. Do you honestly believe that silly puppy love could turn into something real? It’s funny, you should just get over it.”
A shiver ran down my spine as I stared into his piercing green eyes.
“You must always show the highest respect to your Luna. You’re going against the grain here.” His words were sharp and cutting.
Thessaly let out a dramatic sigh, clearly enjoying the sting of my pain.
“Martyr bitch.”
“Repulsive Omega.”
When the security guard tried to touch me again, Thessaly stepped in and said calmly,
“That’s enough, everyone. I’m perfectly fine, I assure you. Besides, I’m more than capable of defending myself.”
Even though she was clearly faking it, Thessaly suddenly pulled Caelrix into a passionate kiss.
“I can’t handle this… Please tell me this is just some kind of test?”
“You need to stop being so naive. Honestly, I have no idea what you’re even talking about. I couldn’t care less about you!” he snapped, cutting me off.
I tried to stay still and think of something to say, but a warrior stopped me.
“That’s it!” The blow was so hard that my strength started fading. Still, I managed to push myself back to my feet, only for the beta to inject something into the back of my neck. I was knocked down with such force that my body felt completely drained. The sharp injection sting pierced the back of my neck, and before I could react, a cold numbness spread through my body…
My vision blurred…
Voices became distant…
I didn’t know if I collapsed immediately… or if I was dragged away….all I knew was darkness swallowed me whole.

As I moved through the dense crowd, I was surrounded by a sea of whispers and comments. It was like I had become invisible, blending perfectly into the background.
“Have you seen Caelrix? I really need to talk to him.” I called out to a stranger. She looked at the girl beside her with a sly grin, leaving me confused.
“You have no idea, do you? He left, and there’s a good chance he might not come back. It’s unfortunate because he’s supposed to become the most powerful person in the world ”
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
The woman shook her head. “He hasn’t been seen since last night.”
While I was desperately searching for any sign of him, her words faded as I stepped out of the pack house. Rumors were flying, and it seemed they were true: Caelrix had left, and with him gone, I no longer had any chance to speak with him.
Oh, Caelrix… My own Caelrix.
“Caelrix!” I jolted awake with a piercing scream.
Only after waking up did I realize it had all been a dream though it had felt so incredibly real. And then it dawned on me… it was the injection that made me unconscious…so, that meant that everything after that was either something my mind did while I was unconscious…or something I never quite got the chance to comprehend.
Now I was lying in my bed, feeling far from comfortable.
My eyes flew open when I noticed Thessaly leaning against my bed. “Oh no,” I muttered as I became aware of her presence.
“Good morning, Seravyn, my new favorite pawn.”
Zoriven's POV It was more like I couldn't escape him, almost like he had me in this perfect circle. Everything narrowed down to the figure up high.Caelrix was standing at the top of the slop, his sword shining against the brightening dawn light. He must have used the chaos happening around me to cut through the trees and take me by surprise as I didn't even sense him coming.I looked up at him, coughing as I tried to get up. That was some terrifying pace, clearly guessing my move smoothly. He didn't wait for me to recover fully though, he leaped down from the top, his heavy frame descending like a falling rock, his blade coming down with him between his both hands and aimed at me.I rolled to the right just in time. His sword sliced into the ground where my head had been, burying itself inches into the rocky soil. The sheer force of his miss sprayed dirt across my face, but I didn't let the distraction blind me. I surged upward from the ground as my energy returned, driving the sho
Zoriven’s POVThe thick column of black smoke rising from the way that led to the residential part of my Pack felt like a physical spike driven straight through my lungs. The distant, booming echo of the blast was still vibrating through the soles of my boots, kicking against the chaos breaking down here.My heart didn't just race, it slammed violently against my ribs with a cold, bone freezing dread that threatened to choke out every breath in my lungs. They weren't just hitting the gates. They were right inside.Seravyn. Her name roared through my mind, a desperate chant that completely drowned out every single plan or preparation I had done up till this point.I had spent weeks preparing. I had locked her away in her room, thinking the few guards and the senior army captains would keep her safe from any breach of the border. But from every indication, from everything I had in mind, the smoke is rising from the exact point where I remember her room to be. I have been played. I ha
Seravyn's POV "Move over," she muttered, dropping to her knees beside me and shoving her long hair into a tight, practical knot at the bottom of her neck. "I'm going first. If there's an ambush at the exit, I have a better chance at reacting quickly."I smiled and pushed out, letting her go first before joining. We wriggled through the narrow, dark metal path, the iron scraping against my shoulders as we crawled in absolute silence.Lirvae must have known the way as she navigated the short, horizontal run that led towards the outside drainage pipe at the back of the building. The air inside the pipe was suffocating, thick with old dust and the growing, heavy stench of smoke from the outside world. After what felt like an eternity, Lirvae slammed her boot against the pipe cover at the end of the line. The lid popped out with a dull thud, and she slid through the opening, dropping silently into the mud below. I followed a second later, my hands landing in the cold, damp earth as I pu
Seravyn’s POVThe shockwaves from the initial blast had barely settled before the true nightmare began. Outside, the air was suddenly ripped apart by a chorus of raw, agonizing screams. The desperate shouts of women and children crying around, screams and roars of Pack warriors, and the sharp, burning touch of follow up explosions tearing through the outer buildings. The violent, choking scent of burned iron and smoke slipped through the open spaces of the window frame, filling my lungs and turning my blood to absolute ice.My mind spun out of control, a heavy mix of panic rushing through my veins as my veins plopped wildly. They are inside now, Caelrix’s men aren't just testing the borders any longer, they are tearing through the heart of the Pack. But as the screams of terrified women and children echoed from the close by paths, the fear inside me that held me down began to shift. It twisted, hardening into a sharp, cold thought.I can't just sit here. It's enough I had to sit her
Seravyn’s POVThe heavy wooden door of the guest suite didn't just close, it felt like a prison gate locking me away from the world. From the gap at the bottom of the door, I could see the shadows of two large Delta warriors moving into position on the porch, their weapons swinging at their side and their postures rigid. The craziest part? They aren't here to protect me from the Moon Stone Pack warriors, they are here to keep me from stepping a single foot past the threshold! Unbelievable.I paced the length of the room, my boots clicking against the floor, a sharp, restless energy vibrating under my skin. My hands were balled into tight fists at my sides. I can't believe Zoriven had used his authority to pin me down.He had ordered his guards to treat me like a piece of fragile cargo that needed to be locked away in a vault just for his selfish reason. It made my stomach twist with a toxic mixture as my blood boiled but my wolf pushed at the edge.He had roared at me with everyth
Zoriven's POV I jumped to my feet so fast my chair rattled against the stone floor, my instincts flaring instantly as my mind moved fast. "Get the men to the secondary lines! Tell Kaelen to authorize the silver traps!"Beside me, Seravyn stood up as well, her eyes wide, what had been a cold mask over her face shattered into instant panic. "I'm coming with you.""No, you're not," I said, turning on her, my voice rising heavily in command. I stepped into her path, blocking her way towards the door. "You are the target of this entire raid, Seravyn. Walking out to that wall is giving him exactly what he wants.""He is tearing your walls down because of me, Zoriven!" She shot back, her voice rising as she tried to push past my shoulder. "I am not going to sit in this room like a coward while your warriors die on the riverbank! Let me go! I can face him!""You can't face hundreds of heavy armor raiders!" I roared, grabbing her upper arms, my grip tight and firm as I forced her to stay put
Caelrix's POVWhat did I just hear? No, could she really mean that? Or was it just one of those in the moment things?I couldn't place my hand around it and before I could think any further, Thessaly went right back to riding me, but with more fierce and unrelenting passion now.Her hips rolled dee
Caelrix's POVBut before any of that, I had to get this anger in check before I do something I'll live to regret. So I dragged myself down the alley without letting anyone get any sort of clear look at my face. And it wasn't cause of the anger or the scars, I just couldn't stand looking anyone in t
Seravyn POVThe moment Zoriven’s lips met mine, the world around us dissolved. If I'm not mistaken, it's the second time he's done this to me in this same lake, and gawd, this feels better than the water. His words earlier had melted everything in me, broken every wall I held high. I knew something
Zoriven's POVIt felt like the stars aligned for me this night. The moon, the goddess… everything just came down for my good.It was the one place that made sense as to where she'd go after such an experience.A place she could find the right kind of healing for her broken soul.Without looking bac
