I glared at him, folding my arms, biting back every vile utterance I wanted to spew at him.

"I'm here, what do you want?"

He smiled, though there was nothing warm or friendly about it, in fact all it did was make him look feral.

"Sit" He gestured to the chair next to me while he settled into a chair.

"I am not eating."

He took a bite of his steak, glancing at me.

"Then your cousin will go hungry for the next two days." He stated. I narrowed my eyes at him, he continued eating as if he had not kil.led my family and imprisoned my cousin and I. I stamped the urge to hurl the knife in front of me at him.

I sat down, picking up the fork and knife, slicing into the steak. I took a bite, forcing myself to chew and swallow.

"Why are my cousin and I being held captive?" I demanded. He let out a chuckle, glancing at me, an eyebrow raised, cold amusement dancing in his eyes.

"You and your cousin are here on charges of conspiracy to commit m.urder, attempt to murder an Alpha Prime, criminal tresp

He stepped forward, taking my hand, I stiffened when his fingers grazed my mine, shutting my eyes as he slid the ring on. It immediately felt like I was being electrocuted, a gasp escaped my lips and my eyes flew open. I forced myself not to fall to my knees as hundreds and thousands of connections from several packs surged through me trying to establish a connection.Breathe, you’re stronger than thisI urged myself, closing my eyes yet it was overwhelming, more than when I had slid my father’s ring on. This was intense, soul searing even. It was as if I was being branded from the inside out as the Mont Blanc Luna. A whimper escaped my lips and I felt myself being led somewhere and gently pushed into a seat, a hand cupping my face.“Breathe”My eyes fluttered to see Jacob kneeling in front of me, barely any distance between us, I could feel the heat radiating from his body and my traitorous body was reacting to it. His eyes had flecks of red in them and it made them even more mesmeri

Smoke… thick black smoke… the screams of peopleAdelaide run!!!! You are the future of our pack!!!Pain… so much pain…I sat up with a gasp, my heart pounding wildly against my rib cage. I looked around, I was in the cell, I wasn't back at Silverstone. A soft sigh escaped my lips and I got to my feet, stepping over Liam who was sleeping on the floor. I turned on the tap and splashed some water on my face before staring at my reflection in the mirror.Saying yes to Jacob was against everything I stood for. He might be my mate and my father had wronged him by performing the ritual but that didn't justify his actions. He could have simply gone to the other Alpha Primes and the matter would have been solved, instead he chose the bloody path.I ran my fingers through my hair, hating how tired I looked. The nightmares were draining. I was thankful they didn't come as regularly as they once did, but that didn't make them any less frightening or real. Wrapping my arms around my body, I walked

JACOBI watched her leave, taking a sip of Samara's bræw. She was a spitfire and I knew she was capable of causing much damage. Tony walked in a few minutes later."Seeing that you are still alive, I'd say it went well then." He inquired. I wiped my mouth clean with the napkin, tossing it on the table and getting to my feet."She made another attempt, not as calculated as the first one, so I'll say we are making some sort of progress." I replied."How? We had her frisked before she was placed in the cell."I walked up to him, picking up the knife she had tried to use."Turns out she can be very resourceful when she wants to be."He shook his head as I made my way out of the dining room, him following me."And the deal?""I gave her the night to think it over.""What if she says no?""She won't." I replied, making my way to my office. "She may hate my guts but she loves her cousin more than anything.""You want her yet you're forcing her to obey you by threatening hee cousin every chan

That's a nasty injuryI let out a groan, wrinkling my nose as the earthy scent of dirt filled my nostrils. I rolled over and opened my eyes, Destiny's face staring down at me."Ugh… where am I? What happened?""Well… you're unconscious, Jacob knocked you out, and you are currently being transported back to Yellowstone." She answered. "In a crate…"I froze."Did you just say a crate?!""Yes, almost coffin like… ironic isn't it?"I glared at her, getting to my feet."I need to wake up.""That won't be possible." She replied. "He hit you with something really powerful.""How did he even do that?! I have never seen a Lycan who was able to possess another soul… and his eyes." I trailed off, remembering how the red flickered like blood within his dark eyes."Well, the Mont Blancs are special lycans," she replied."Special lycans?""Well, the rest are normal but Jacob, he's special," she explained."Of course he will be. Who knows what evil entity he sold his soul to." I mumbled, sitting bac

I slowed the car as I drove through the open gates of the Mont Blanc Consulate. It was a large stately building that had clearly seen better days. Some of the windows had been boarded up while the others looked like they were about to fall off.I parked my car and got out. It seemed to be abandoned and, for a fleeting moment, I felt the urge to turn back. I ran my finger over the poison ring, Liam was in there, and I would not leave without killing Jacob and rescuing my cousin. With that stamped into the back of my mind, I knelt, pressing my palm to the ground. I could feel the presence of two people in the building. An unknown signature and Liam's.PerfectI walked across the lawn, up the stairs to the front door, pushing the double doors open, the wood creaking against the rusted hinges.Just what kind of Alpha Prime would let their consulate fall into such disrepair? My already horrible opinion of Jacob deepened. I walked in, surprised to see the inside was… clean, almost clinical.
