Rose’s Pov

The sun was shining bright and I could feel the heat on my body even before we started. My heart was beating very fast, not just because of the training, but because Aiden was the one standing in front of me. At this point, he wasn’t just my mate, he was my coach. The serious look on his face said it all.

“We would start with some squats.” He said firmly, fixing his gaze at me. “So when I blow the whistle,” he tapped the whistle, hanging on his neck,“you go down, squatting ten times at a goal. Understood?”

His tone was very sharp and professional, completely different from the times we were alone. He was wearing black joggers and a fitted training shirt that hugged his body, showing every line of his muscles. It was intimidating in a way, but also very distracting.

I quickly pulled my hair into a tighter ponytail and nodded. “I’m ready.” I said, trying to sound confident.

“One, two, three,” He blew the whistle and I went down instantly.

The first was like a pun

Solen’s PovThat day started like every other quiet Saturday in my life. The sun was warm, and the air was smelling of salt and wet sand. I had my fishing basket and some herbs tied in a small pouch. My plan was to go to the western cliffs, catch a few fish, and maybe collect some herbs along the way. It was something I did almost every weekend. The western cliffs were always peaceful. No one hardly came there on Saturdays, which was why I loved it. The fishermen often took breaks that day, leaving the water still and calm, perfect for fishing. At my age, I didn’t have the strength for loud markets or busy rivers anymore. I preferred silence and peace so that I’d be able to fish without struggling. Apart from fishing, I also went there to get herbs. The western cliffs had a rare kind of leaf that grew near the rocks which were good for treating fever and internal bleeding. I had been a healer all my life, so collecting herbs was a habit I never dropped. The western cliff also stood a

Aiden’s Pov“No! Rose!” I screamed with all of the strength I had left in me. My voice cracked as it echoed through the cliffs. My heart felt like it was being torn into pieces right inside my chest. I wanted to jump into the deep water to find her. I just wanted to bring her back to me and hold her again. But before I could, Fred and a few guards grabbed me tightly by the arms.“Please, Aiden, you can’t do this!” Fred pleaded, struggling to keep me still as I fought to break free from their grip.“Tell me this is a dream, Fred!” I shouted, my voice breaking as tears streamed down my face. “Please tell me this isn’t real. No, no… I can’t lose her. She’s my life. Please, Fred. Let me go!”I thrashed around like a madman, kicking and pulling, desperate to jump into the water. My chest was burning, my breathing got heavy, and my mind was filled with nothing else but Rose.“Let me go! Let me die!” I cried out helplessly, still struggling against their hold.Fred’s voice trembled with worr

Aiden’s PovWhen Fred and I rode back to the pack it was already getting dark and night was coming. I had bought gifts for Rose. I wanted to surprise her with some little things that I thought she would like. I got her fresh flowers wrapped in linen, a small bottle of scented oil, a simple but expensive necklace, and a few small trinkets. I had never done anything like this before. I wanted to show her how much she meant to me. I wanted to make her smile.I had also gotten the news that my father was starting to respond to treatment. Daniel had said the antidote was working and the king’s pulse was steadier. That should have made me feel light, but it didn’t. A strange unease sat low inside my chest and I could not shake or remove it. Maybe it was because I had not seen Rose in a long time. Maybe I missed her too much and the thought of her being far away felt wrong. When we finally reached the palace gate, one of the guards blew a trumpet and announced, “The Prince has arrived!” It

Rose’s Pov“That was great fun!” Ivy chirped.“We’re definitely doing this again,” I said, still panting and trying to catch my breath. My heart was beating fast, and sweat kept rolling down my forehead. We had just finished the fastest run ever. What was supposed to be a normal morning run through the woods had turned into a friendly race. Some villagers were out running too, and before we knew it, we all decided to do a race with each other. In the end, Ivy and I won, and the others cheered and clapped. It felt good and fun.“It was so funny how I thought we were going to lose,” I said, wiping the sweat from my face with the back of my hand. “Especially when that guy ran past us.”Ivy nodded, still smiling. “Honestly! My heart almost jumped out of my chest. But thank goodness we didn’t give up. We made a great team.”I crouched down, resting my hands on my knees as I breathed out a long sigh. “I’m starving. I feel like I could eat a whole wolf right now.”Ivy chuckled slightly. “Ple

Rose’s PovAs I walked by the side of Aiden through the hallway that led to his chambers, I couldn’t stop thinking about everything that had happened. The dagger, the king almost dying, and above all, what Luna Eva had done. My heart felt heavy, but I knew someone had to talk some sense into Aiden.I glanced at him and his face still looked distant and cold. His jaw was tight, and I could tell he was still angry deep down. That just made me speak up.“My love,” I began softly as I tried to sound calm, “don’t you think it’s high time you forgave your mom? She has really suffered enough for what she did. Besides, she only did it because of you. She wanted to protect your place on the throne. I think she deserves a second chance.”Aiden didn’t respond immediately. He ran his hand through his hair and gave out a deep sigh. I could see the conflict in his eyes. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm but firm.“Rose, I understand what you’re saying. I really do,” he said slowly. “But she

Eva’s PovAll my hopes came crashing down the moment Cassandra confessed that she had lost the pregnancy. My chest felt tight as her words kept echoing in my head, “I’ve lost my pregnancy and probably my chance of conceiving again.” I couldn’t breathe properly for a few seconds. Everything I had worked for and planned had vanished in a single moment.I had truly believed that this child would secure our family’s future and protect Aiden’s place as heir to the throne and also her place as Luna because I loved her so much because she was an Alpha. I had imagined holding my grandchild in my arms soon and imagined the joy it would bring to the pack. But Cassandra had ruined everything.I could not believe she went as far as bribing Daniel to hide the truth. The thought made my stomach twist in disgust. How could she be so reckless and heartless? I had trusted her, protected her, and treated her like my own daughter. And this was how she repaid me with deceit and shame? As I walked slowly
