Aiden’s Pov

The pack doctor was already in my room, carefully administering some medications to Rose while she lay unconscious. The room was very quiet except for Rose’s breathing which was faint, and the sound of Daniel’s medical instruments.

I couldn’t sit still. I kept pacing around the room and muttering some silent prayers, begging the moon goddess to keep her safe and allow her to wake up. Whenever I looked at her face which was very pale, my heart ached, it felt like my chest was being squeezed. She had already suffered too much, she did not deserve this pain at all.

Ivy was gently holding Rose’s hand while she sat at the edge of the bed. Her face was filled with worry and fear. Fred was leaning his back against the wall while his arms were folded across his chest with his face tense. The three of us were just waiting for Rose to make a move, even if it was the slightest movement.
