Monster In The Mirror

last update تاريخ النشر: 2026-05-08 12:33:26

Lyra woke screaming. Silver light exploded from her chest and tore through the collapsed ceiling. Stones rained down but none touched her. They burned to ash mid fall. The Lunar blood no longer asked. It demanded. It clawed its way out of her bones and screamed for more ruin.

Kael pinned her down in the rubble. Naked. Hard. Growling. His weight crushed her into the broken floor while he thrust deep inside her without warning. Brutal. Necessary. She raked her nails down his back and drew fresh blood. The power drank it. Fed on it. Made her hips slam up to meet every savage stroke.

They fucked like the world was ending. No words. Just teeth and claws and glowing skin. Plaster dust mixed with their sweat. The floor cracked wider beneath them. When she came her scream shattered every remaining window in the eastern wing. Kael roared and flooded her. Hot. Deep. Claiming her from the inside while her power tried to tear them both apart.

Afterward she shoved him off and stumbled to the cracked mirror. What stared back made her laugh. Wild. Broken. Eyes pure silver. Veins glowing under her skin like living lightning. Bite marks and bruises covered her throat and breasts. She looked exactly like the monster they all feared.

“I am gone.” She touched the glass. It exploded under her fingers. “The girl from the clearing is dead.”

Kael came behind her. Wrapped one arm around her waist. His other hand slid between her legs and pushed his seed back inside her. Possessive. Filthy. “Good. I want the monster. She is stronger.”

News came with the blood red dawn. Rowan lived. Barely. But he had done the unforgivable. He had begged help from the Shadow Realms. Creatures that should stay buried. Things with no names that answered only to pain and old blood debts. Selene had sealed the deal with her own body and soul. The camp outside the walls now crawled with darkness.

Lyra dressed in black and silver. No armor. No shoes. Just the cloak and the crown of bone. Power rolled off her in visible waves. Servants ran when she passed. One guard pissed himself when her eyes met his.

Kael marched beside her. Sword ready. Eyes matching hers now. The king had changed too. Her power had sunk roots into him. Made him something new. Hungrier.

They met the enemy on the open field beyond the broken gates. No more hiding behind walls. The sky boiled black above Rowan’s new allies. Shadow things slithered between the wolves. Twisted limbs. Too many teeth. Eyes that swallowed light.

Rowan stood at the center. Supported by Selene. Face half destroyed by Lyra’s last attack. One eye gone. Body twisted. But his remaining eye still burned with love and hate so tangled it hurt to look at.

“End this.” He rasped. Voice ruined. “Kill me if you have to. Just stop becoming this.”

Lyra walked forward alone. Silver light carved a path through the shadows. They screamed when it touched them. Burned like paper in flame. She stopped ten paces from Rowan and Selene.

“You still love me.” She said it flat. “Even now. After everything.”

Tears mixed with blood on his ruined face. “Always.”

She felt it then. The last broken thread of the old bond. Weak. Bleeding. Pathetic. Her wolf wanted to rip it out completely.

Power surged. She let it. Silver storm exploded outward and swallowed the battlefield. Shadow creatures disintegrated screaming. Wolves on both sides died in droves. Selene tried to shield Rowan but Lyra’s light tore through her defenses and ripped her apart from the inside. The northern bitch died with her mouth open in a silent scream.

Rowan dropped to his knees. Alone. Surrounded by corpses. Lyra stepped close. Pressed her glowing hand to his chest. Right over his heart.

She could kill him now. Easy. One push and the alpha who rejected her would be nothing but ash.

Instead she burned the last of the mate bond out of both of them. Painful. Slow. He screamed until his voice gave out. She screamed with him. When it ended there was nothing left between them but ash and memory.

“Live.” She whispered the same curse as before. “Live broken. Watch what I become.”

Kael appeared at her side. He drove his sword through Rowan’s thigh. Pinned him to the dirt. Not fatal. Just enough to make sure he never fought again.

The remaining enemy fled. What was left of the armies cheered her name. Some in fear. Some in worship. Lyra did not care. She turned and kissed Kael right there on the corpse field. Deep. Bloody. Power binding them tighter than any vow.

Back in the palace she took him on the obsidian throne. Rode him hard while the court watched. Let them see their queen glowing and gasping and claiming her king in front of everyone. When she came the entire throne room shook. Chandeliers crashed. Wolves howled in answer.

That night in the destroyed eastern wing she stood at the balcony. City burning in celebration below. Kael pressed against her back. Already hard again. Already inside her. Slow lazy thrusts while they looked out over the kingdom they had bled for.

“I feel it growing.” She gasped between thrusts. “The power. It wants more than this kingdom.”

Kael bit her shoulder. Thrust deeper. “Then we give it more. Everything. All of it.”

Lyra smiled into the night. Silver eyes glowing. Body full of her king. Heart full of beautiful violence.

The rejected girl was dead.

The Lunar Queen had risen.

And the world had only begun to bleed.

Lyra burned. Not metaphor. Not poetry. Real flames of silver fire licked across her skin without consuming her. She stood in the middle of the war room while maps caught fire and generals backed away with terror in their eyes. The poison from yesterday still lingered in her blood and the Lunar thing punished her for the weakness by tearing her apart from the inside.Kael grabbed her before she could level the entire chamber. He slammed her down on the long black table and shoved her legs open. No patience. No words. He drove into her with one brutal thrust while silver flames crawled over both their bodies. The wood beneath her back blackened and split. She screamed and clawed his chest open. Blood ran hot down her fingers and the power drank it like wine.Every thrust fed the fire. Her hips slammed up to meet him. Greedy. Angry. Starving. The table collapsed halfway through and they kept going on the burning floor. Generals fled. One man was too slow. A wild burst of her power turned

Lyra could not get enough. The power inside her had grown teeth and claws and a voice of its own. It whispered filthy things while she slept and screamed for violence when she woke. She crawled over Kael before the sun even thought about rising. Pushed him flat on his back in the rubble of their bed and sank down on him in one brutal motion. Wet. Greedy. Still sore from the night before but the pain only made her ride harder.Silver light burst from her skin with every roll of her hips. It burned new marks into his chest. He gripped her ass hard enough to bruise and thrust up to meet her. The broken floor beneath them split wider. Chunks of ceiling crashed down but she did not stop. She leaned forward and bit his throat until blood filled her mouth. He snarled and flipped them. Drove into her so deep she felt him in her spine. They destroyed what was left of the eastern wing. Walls cracked. Furniture turned to splinters. When she came the explosion of power shattered the balcony doors

The throne room still stank of smoke and spilled blood wine. Lyra remained sprawled across Kael’s lap on the obsidian seat. Her thighs straddled him. His cock still buried deep inside her while the last cheers from the hall faded into drunken growls. Silver light pulsed between their joined bodies. Every small shift of her hips sent fresh sparks cracking across the black stone floor. She felt full. Used. Alive. The Lunar blood sang loud in her veins now. No longer fighting her. It wanted this. The violence. The claiming. The way Kael’s hands bruised her hips as he held her down harder.Another soldier stumbled too close. Eyes glassy from drink. He reached out like he could touch the glow on her bare shoulder. Lyra did not even turn her head. Power lashed out and snapped his arm with a wet crack. He screamed and fell back into the crowd. Nobody helped him.Kael laughed against her throat. Teeth scraping fresh marks over the old ones. “They learn slow.”“Good.” She rolled her hips once

  • Marked by the Alpha, Claimed by the Enemy King    Queen Of Ruin

Lyra stood in the ruined great hall with Rowan’s blood still smoking on the cracked stone where he had landed. Her hands would not stop shaking. Silver light bled from her fingertips and left puddles that hissed against the floor. The palace felt alive now. Angry. Hungry. Just like her.Kael kept one arm locked around her waist. His body heat burned through her thin robe. He had not bothered dressing fully after dragging her back from the yard. Bare chest pressed to her back. Fresh claw marks from her nails still leaking blood down his sides.“You ended him.” His voice rumbled against her ear. Proud. Dark.“I did not kill him.” The words tasted like ash. “He still breathes. I felt it.”Outside the broken doors Selene’s forces dragged Rowan away under heavy cover. Their howls rose weak and furious. Defeated for now but not finished. Never finished.Power surged again without warning. It ripped through Lyra’s spine and exploded outward. The remaining hall windows blew out in a shower of

Lyra could not sleep. The palace felt too small for what raged inside her. Silver light pulsed through her body in waves that matched her heartbeat. Every pulse cracked another tile in the floor. Every breath sent sparks dancing across the ceiling. Kael lay beside her breathing deep but she knew he was awake. His hand rested heavy on her bare stomach like he could hold the chaos down by touch alone.Outside the walls the enemy camp grew louder. More fires. More howls. Rowan refused to leave. Selene fed his rage with whispers Lyra could almost taste on the wind. Her old life calling her back while the new one burned her from the inside. She sat up. Sweat slick on her skin. The sheets stuck to her thighs where Kael had taken her again only hours ago. Marks from his mouth still throbbed on her breasts. Between her legs she felt swollen and used and starving for more. The Lunar blood loved the mess. It drank the guilt and the pleasure and asked for seconds.Kael’s arm tightened. “Stay.”“
