{ Elena's POV }“For the goddesses sake Briana you're just Nineteen!” Derek's voice thundered through the room. Briana jerked back, shaking hard. Tears streamed down her cheeks. “And you?” He turned to Alvin, still standing frozen on the stairs. Derek's eyes flashed blood red as he took steady steps towards him. “You used her for access.”Alvin shook his head vigorously, dropping down to his knees. “No-no..I didn't, I swear.” At least the idiot knew not to try anything stupid. “I hate liars.” Derek's voice was low and lethal. “I'm telling the truth.” Alvin quivered. “We've been together for two months before all of this. I didn't lure her—”“Quiet!” Derek snapped, then spun to Briana. “Two months!. Two fucking months! And spread your legs for him!”The girl shuddered, snapping her eyes shut. Her choking sounds of cry filled the room. “You were brought up right. A proper young woman.” Derek continued, his jaw so tight it might crack. “What the…fuck was this! He's not even your ma
{ Elena's POV }Pin-drop silence evaded the office and hung heavy in the air. My eyes stayed fixed, not wavering from Derek's face for a minute. I was expecting the usual confident look he always carries when he knew he was certain about something, but instead I couldn't find it and that was every un-Derek. Something kept telling it's either he doesn't really know shit about what's going on in his pack or he does but get the full picture. Someone's or somepeople are running things behind his back. Just have that feeling in my gut and it's never wrong.“If you insist then. Fine.” He said finally, leaning back on his plush leather office chair. “But I'm sure you won't find him here.”Ambrose snickered. “You can't be so sure, friend.”“Make the arrangements immediately.” Nicholas looked at Derek. “We don't have time to waste.”“Exactly.” I agreed, raising from my seat. I didn't even look in his direction. “He might get alerted if we keep ticking seconds and that's the last thing I wan
{ Nicholas’s POV }She wanted distance.Fine. I'd give it to her. I watched her step back from me, her arms still folded, eyes sharp even while her uneven breath gave her away. The air between us was thick. She could pretend all she wanted but I could smell the truth on her.“Then who are you here for?” she asked.I tilted my head toward the gates. “Him.”Ambrose walked through the gates like a storm. His face was flushed red, his jaw locked, eyes locked on Elena with pure fury. My brows furrowed at him. Didn't he say he was having breakfast when he texted? What could have happened? He stopped short when he saw us standing close.“You—” He pointed at her, his voice low and tight with rage. “You left me there. All alone with them, defending your shitty ass.”Elena turned to face him, not flinching a bit. “You said too much. Seriously Ambrose, you know could have just cracked up some lies like you always do when you get caught with one of your flings.” She finished with a small shrug

{ Elena's POV }8:30am in the morning, we leave. I had said that myself. I mean, It was enough time to get a good sleep, wake up , get dressed and head but unfortunately for me I couldn't sleep. I kept tossing from one side to another, it all just kept coming—his fingers, his lips, his touch, the photo of him and Renaya, the recording—too much.I turned to the table clock on the nightstand; 6:48am. The annoying alarm blared a few minutes ago just when I was able to catch some sleep. I lay now on my bed staring at the high, carved wooden ceiling. “Elena Rivers, go get ready.” I braced myself up, threw the covers off and went to the bathroom. I stood in front of the sink staring at my reflection in the mirror, I looked tired. Not wrecked at least—just worn out. My eyes were a little puffy and my cheeks were flushed from the lack of sleep. I turned on the tap and splashed water on my face. The cold water snapped against my skin and pulled me fully awake. I looked up watching the water
{ Ambrose's POV} “What do you mean you're not sure.” Nicholas's voice rasped finally. He had to gone silent after I dropped the news. I was about to take another doughnut when the pack got yanked away from my hold. I jerked back. “What the fu—” Nicholas clasped the pack shut with a sharp thud. “You don't eat while we talk.” then dropped it on the side table next to the couch he sat on. I gave him the hardest stare I could manage, before crossing my arm. My voice was serious now. “Well, it came from her most trusted ally, so I'm not really sure what to believe.” Nicholas's face was keen. He was paying so much attention. That's just the thing when a man gets obsessed, every single detail about her matters. “But I just have this feeling somethings wrong somewhere.” I continued. “And who's this ally of hers that I don't know of.” He asked. “Oh Alisha,” I started, leaning back against the couch. “Actually it's a whole team of five, all girls and pretty ass bitches.” “Ambrose Ri
[Nicholas's POV ] I strode out of the room and flung the door shut with a loud bang. Her sobs followed next. For a moment, I felt regret; a part of me wanted to go back and apologize... but no!It had to stop one day and that day was today."You did the right thing," Kyle said in a reassuring tone.
[Nicholas's POV ]I stared at the rare beauty in front of me, deep brown eyes drowning into mine like she couldn't have enough, smooth pale skin smothered with drops of water, her wet long hair clung to her skin, damn....she had only a towel on, it seemed she just came out of the bathroom. My eyes
Elena's POVHis large frame filled the entire doorway; his chest heaved as he had run the whole way back. He was still in his warrior gear and there was mud on his boots. The next thing I know, he's right in front of me, engulfing me in a warm embrace. “I was so scared Lena, thought I lost you,” he
Elena's POVAnother growl thundered and I knew for sure something was definitely wrong else what would make my father summon the entire pack at this time of night. “No…nothing should go wrong now, not after all that happened. Spare us Moon goddess.” I prayed silently. Taking a deep breath, I star
