Chapter 5: Tying their mouth

Her aunt comes forward. “Juhee! Being Married is not something you should be ashamed of. It's a blessing that everyone wants.” Her aunt is a devoted wife.

She loves her husband a lot, they had a love marriage. Unlike Juhee and Jacob who were tied to each other because of their family, it was not the same. But there's no way Juhee can say all this to her aunt who cares so much about her.

“Aunt! I know what you mean. But everything happened so suddenly, we both got no time to react. We want some time to think. Can't we even have that?” Juhee sounded sad, it was pitiful that she was sad right now.

Her aunt was a little taken aback. Juhee had never sounded this frustrated before. From what the old woman knows, Juhee has always been a quiet kid, the one who doesn't get angry or sad, always maintaining her personality and expression in front of others.

So it was surprising to see her helplessly doing nothing.

At this time, Jacob stepped in with her side. “Aunt! Grandpa and everyone here, I know you all care for us both, and it's expected of you to worry about your kids. But I hope, you will stop meddling in our business from now on.” Jacob said. His words came out pretty rude, not something everyone expected from him, and unpleasant to the ears.

His parents became sad to hear that. They only have one child, now even though he was against them, this was not what they had in mind.

“Son! How can you talk to your elders in this tone? You know full well how much everyone cares for you two. All we are doing right now is for the betterment of you.” Said his mother as she cupped his face in her both hands with affection.

It could be seen in her voice that she was hurt. But there was nothing Jacob could do right now. Yes, he loves his parents. But they were going too far right now.

“You said marry each other, we went against. You tricked us, we fell into it. And now that you have already succeeded in your plan, you want to go even further. We won't ask you for impossible demands, but leave us alone.” He said in a serious and strict tone.

He said nothing all this time because he didn't want to come out too strong and cold on others, but the situation was different right now.

He expects them to leave him alone just once.

The old man was hearing all this. To be honest, he is the honorable person in the family and the elder respected by everyone. But...just like how he was scared of his late wife, Juhee always gives him the same vibe. He fears no one, but his granddaughter who's exactly like her grandma.

Juhee went to her old man. “Grandpa! I have never asked you for anything until now, but I am going to right now. I don't want any grand or lavish wedding, and this is my final decision. If you all try to play any trick again, I will leave this country along with her.”

Jacob said in a cold tone.

Just because he pretends to be soft, doesn't mean anyone can take advantage of him.

“Alright! As you say, we will leave you alone.” Said the old man.

“I am glad you understand me. Since the proposal of coming here has been fulfilled, I should take my leave.” He said to Jacob and then looked at Juhee as he nodded his head.

“Thank you all for coming here and celebrating this day with us. Jacob and I should go back now. Bye-bye...”

Jacob and Juhee gave them no chance to speak anything and stridden off from there immediately.

Both families were stunned but there was nothing they could do in the situation.

Lucas looked at everyone as they were looking at the newly married couple disappearing slowly. “Grandpa! These two are running away, won't you be doing anything?” Lucas asked.

The old man shook his head as a long sigh escaped his mouth. “They both are like sleeping tigers and triggers. The less we disturb them, the better it is. Indeed, we went overboard this time, but more than this, and they will become rebellious. Can't take that risk.”

Outside of the mansion.

They both took a sigh of relief after coming out from that dangerous place. “A little more and I would have suffocated back in there, you are smart to come up with this idea of threatening them.” Juhee gave him a big thumbs up while trying to maintain her breath at the normal speed, she was so nervous back there that her breathing became uneven back in there.

“That's how you tackle difficult people.”

After coming out, both of them decided to take a short walk around until they reached the bus stop.

Now that they were out already, further preparation needed to be done. “When should I move in?” Juhee asked.

“Tonight.” Jacob answered.

They were newly-wed now, so it was important for them to stay in the same house. Living in different places might result in extreme circumstances for their families. And that should never happen.

They avoided the topic of the grand wedding for the time being but it won't take their families any longer to catch on suspicion if Juhee and Jacob are to stay separated from each other.

Juhee agreed with his arrangements. “Alright! Tonight it is then. And...clean up my room, I don't like to live in a messy place.” She reminded him time and again how she was a clean freak who doesn't like dirt lying in her surroundings.

“Sure! I will wait for you.” Jacob agreed.

Since Jacob came with his family to her house, he didn't bring his car. Juhee took a taxi at her interval. That was the reason why they needed to take buses to go to their destination.

Both of them separated after coming to the bus stop.

The same day, 9. PM.

Jacob was standing at the entrance, looking at the time on his wristwatch as it was already nine and the woman was yet to arrive.

“Didn't she say 9.pm? What is taking her so long?”
