Confusion And Chaos

“Fine! You don't need to keep begging me. I have accepted your apology. Let's get back inside the house. This will be your last chance ever. If you ever try this shit with me next time, I will be out of your life for good,” Anita finally accepted. It didn't take her time to think about her decision-making. She knew what her choice was, but decided to act tough to avoid being labeled as some cheap whore.

As they were about to leave, Kelly pulled Dexter back. “I can't believe you're just going to walk away from me like that. Did it occur to you that I am still here? Aren't you interested in finding out what happened to your father? A while ago, you were so anxious until some whore showed up and ruined everything,” 

“Excuse me?” Anita retaliated. “Did you just call me a whore? Or was I hallucinating? How dare you?” 

“I don't recall mentioning anyone's name. But if you feel the cap fits you, then you can wear it,” Kelly gave a cold response. He looked elsewhere to pretend as though he never said anything. 

 “Did you just hear that? This son of a bitch just called me a whore, and you didn't do anything about that?” She lamented to Dexter, hoping that he would fight for her. 

“And you called me son of a bitch. I guess that makes us even,” 

Kelly clapped back. He was never running out of response. 

As the drama unfolded, Dexter remained calm. He knew how the judgment was going to come back to haunt him in some way, hence his reason to stay mute. 

He wanted Anita to stay back, the same way he would love to hear what happened to his father. 

“I'm still waiting for you to speak up, Dexter. If you don't kick this wretched being out of here this minute, I will leave and never return,” Anita threatened. Her threat puts Dexter in a difficult situation where he finds it difficult to decide for himself. 

A few minutes have gone by, and Dexter is still speechless, mauling over his speech. He knew what he wanted to say, but was scared about its consequences. He would rather not get into another mess. 

“Time up! 

I am leaving now. 

I can't deal with this anymore,” Anita decided on Dexter's behalf. The silence was enough to make her get the answers she sought. 

“Anita! Please don't leave me alone. 

I might commit suicide,” Dexter pleaded for Anita to stay back. 

 This time, he didn't run after her like he did the first time. Rather, he stayed back to apologize. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough to stop Anita from leaving.  

“Thank goodness she's gone now,” 

 Dexter sighed and did a cross sign after Anita's departure. 

He was more than relieved 

He wanted to leave but was scared to say it to her face because he might need her services pretty soon

 To crown it all, Dexter didn't pay her for the sex they had. Which means he gets to save his money, time, and energy on her. 

 "She's gone now. 

You better start talking,” Dexter went back to Kelly with a lot of anticipation. 

“Your father had a heart attack shortly after the heated argument between you two,” Kelly explained. 

“My father has a heart attack, and I am just getting to find out about it. Wait a minute, my father told you not to tell me, didn't he?” Dexter yelled at Kelly to the extent that he nearly got him drowning in his saliva. 

“Your father has got nothing to do with this. As we speak, he is in the hospital. The Doctor requested the presence of a family member before he could commence with the complete treatment,” Kelly added. 

“And my Father suggested that I come over with you, didn't he?” Kelly smiled and licked his lips. 

His actions were somewhat complicated for Kelly. He couldn't understand how Dexter was still able to smile In such a condition. He expected Dexter to be remorseful or teary. 

“Yes, your father insisted that I come to get you,” Kelly replied. 

Not satisfied, Kelly asked. “Why are you smiling like that? Aren't you supposed to be sober?” 

“It's none of your damn business. Come inside and wait for me to get dressed,” Dexter ordered. The smile was transferred to Kelly's face. 

“Does that mean you've agreed to come with me?” Kelly asked as they walked inside the house. 

 

On the verge of going upstairs to his room, Dexter returned to the living room. “I just got a fantastic idea. Why did I take this long to come up with it?”

“What's it this time? I thought you wanted to change into another outfit?” Confused, Kelly asked. 

“Get on the phone with my father,” Dexter ordered, as he dashed to the bar to grab a bottle of vodka. He poured a little inside a glass and sipped it. 

“Why do you want to speak to your father over the phone? I just told you that he's currently in the hospital. Do you think I would be lying to you?” Kelly raged. He was done being nice to Dexter. Now, he understood why George was adamant about letting Dexter come to sign the consent form at the hospital. 

“I don't think I owe you any explanation. Don't just stand there and ask me some god-damned question. Fucking get on the phone immediately,” Dexter fumed as he smashed the bottle of vodka on the ground In full rage.

He moved closer to Kelly with a heart filled with hate. Are you questioning my orders now? Who the hell do you think you are? Do you want to get your ass kicked?"

Despite the smashed bottle on the ground, Kelly was fearless. He didn't flee away, and neither did he move an inch backward. "Getting my ass kicked? I don't see that happening. How about you spending the rest of your life in jail if you dare lay your filthy hands on me?”
