"Did Dexter just say that to me, or I am beginning to imagine things that aren't real? When did he become that brave? I've always known him to be weak. Something isn't right. He might as well have some sort of backup." Rhoda mumbled in disbelief.
Rhoda thought she had it all under control until she got stung like a bee. She never knew that Dexter would turn out to be a difficult nut to crack.
"Then get ready to spend the rest of your life in jail for refusing to cooperate with me. You son of a bitch. I am going to make your life miserable. You've got no idea the mistake you're making. Let's see who's going to have the last laugh," Rhoda lashed back at Dexter. She didn't make an effort to convince Dexter to speak up because she knew he was never paying attention to her.
Rhoda spent the last couple of minutes surveying the station with the hope of uncovering Romeo's hideout. Something tells her that Romeo is hiding somewhere. She just couldn't figure out the exact spot.
After countless checks without a positive result, Rhoda got tired and decided it was time to walk away. She didn't leave immediately. She went to the extent of warning Dexter that it wasn't over yet just to create tension in his mind and probably force him to speak out.
As smart as Dexter was, he refused to step out or signal Romeo to come out from his hideout. He knew for a fact that Rhoda might be hiding somewhere, waiting for Romeo to step out of his hideout.
After fifteen minutes without Rhoda's return, Dexter was assured that she was good. To confirm his suspicion, he glanced around and stationed his ears on the ground to confirm if he would hear Rhoda's footsteps emerging out of the blue.
Luckily for Dexter, he heard no sound. At that point, he could convince himself that Rhoda was gone.
"Let's get this show started already.
In the end, we would see who emerges victorious," Dexter smiled. He loved how the drama unfolded regardless of how dangerous it was. To him, It was more like a movie than a reality.
With an immediate effect, Dexter whispered Romeo's name, signaling him to step outside his hideout. But to his surprise, no one responded. Not even a sound to prove that Romeo was there.
After countless times of whispering, Dexter decided to scan the area with his eyes. That was the moment he realized that Romeo was nowhere to be found around the hideout.
"This is insane!"
Dexter exclaimed in shock, and he widened his mouth in astonishment.
Different thoughts plagued his mind and none were positive. He got scared that something bad might have happened to Romeo.
"How was he able to leave without me knowing about it? Could it be that he has been caught?"
Dexter panicked like a toddler. He prayed and wished that Romeo would escape successfully without complications.
That was the only time that Romeo had ever cared for someone so deeply from his heart. Funnily enough, It turned out to be a different person. He hasn't even cared about his father that way before.
"I just hope he's fine wherever he is right now," Dexter wished and went back to lie on the bare floor.
He tried forcing himself to sleep, but it wasn't just working. He often finds his eyes widened at every attempt to shut them.

Romeo sneaked back to his office after a narrow escape. Now he's certain that Rhoda still has issues with him. At some point, he thought that she would be ready to make peace with him.
"Now I know who my real enemies are. Rhoda is a mother fucking hypocrite. I have got to be careful next time," he advised himself after clearing his desk.
On the verge of leaving his office, he spotted the enemy that had been making his life miserable lately.
Who else would it be if not Rhoda? She stood at the doorway blocking his exit.
At first, Romeo was shocked because he wasn't expecting to see her. He thought she had gone home.
Somehow, he was able to stay comported again. He kept a straight face to stop Rhoda from being suspicious.
"Surprised to see me?
I thought Officer Lucas had already dismissed you. What are you still doing around the station?" Rhoda questioned Romeo after they both went silent a bit, waiting for the first to speak.
"You again?
Don't you ever get tired of stalking me?"
Romeo frowned. He didn't hesitate to vent his frustration on Rhoda just to erase any thoughts about him in her head.
"That's none of your damn business. The last time I checked, I was a cop. I have to roam around and ensure the area is safe. I heard a funny noise from your office. I figured it was only natural that I come to find out who it was because I thought you were gone," Rhoda narrated. She had her eyes focused on Romeo's face with the hope that she would get the truth needed to nab Romeo. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't able to find anything. Romeo was more focused than her. He was miles ahead of her. He didn't show any sign of weakness to make her want to suspect anything.
"Well, now you have your truth. I came to get my stuff. I want to leave now. Can you please excuse me?" Romeo asked nicely.
Rhoda still stood firm at the doorway with her arms tucked. Despite how innocent Romeo appears, she still isn't convinced.
"I got my eyes on you. The fact that you are home doesn't guarantee you a free man. This isn't over yet," Rhoda Issued the final warning to Romeo before stepping aside for Romeo's exit.
"Go get a life.
I can see you are bored. You are starting to become annoying. Ew! So disgusting of you!" Romeo clapped back at Rhoda before his final exit.
"George, can you just listen to your son? Why aren't you saying anything about it?" Doctor Escobar asked George for some support. Sadly for him, it looked like George was ready to take sides with Derek. The look on George's face says it all. He might not have uttered a word, but he managed to send a message across that Doctor Escobar understood perfectly fine. He needed no one to explain further."What a show of disgrace. Just when I thought you'd be different from your brother. You turned out worse," Escobar hissed and walked away.Derek wasn't bothered by the gesture towards him. He would rather focus on the issue that brought him to the hospital."Derek, that was rude. After this conversation, you need to apologize to the Doctor. I didn't raise you to be that rude," George demanded and Derek obeyed without any argument. Even on his sick bed, he still has some sort of authority over Derek. "I just found out about Dexter's arrest from one of the nurses. Why haven't you done anythi
It's been over fifteen minutes since Ciara arrived at the address that Walters described, and she hasn't entered the building. She kept calling for Walters to come outside so she could hand him over. Unfortunately for Ciara, he wasn't picking up his calls. It got to a point where his phone reportedly went off. This got Ciara worried and scared at the same time. She regretted ever accepting to return the clothes and wallet to Walters. She only did that just to stop Walters from showing up to her Father's house again like he did the last time. What hurt Ciara the most was the fact that she had to disobey her Father just to come see Walters. The thought of this alone made her not to give up. She was determined to stay back and wait for Walters to return. She wasn't bothered by how long he stayed. She wouldn't want her effort to be in vain.As Ciara waited for Walters, she had her eyes combing the entirety of the neighborhood to ensure that no one came to assault her. "I still don't k
"Oops, it looks like you weren't aware that Dexter was arrested. Damn! Why did I tell you? I should have kept it to myself," Olivia facepalms. She thought Derek was aware of it. Now, she just got herself involved in bigger trouble because Doctor Escobar had warned them not to discuss Dexter's arrest with anyone. "I need to see the doctor or my Father this minute. I will address the arrest of Dexter after. But first, my Father is important. Lastly, don't be scared. I am not going to tell your Doctor that you told me about the arrest. It's nothing for you to worry about. I do understand how significant your job is, and I wouldn't want to jeopardize it," Derek assured. He wasn't ready to kill two birds with one stone."That way, please. That's the road to the Doctor's officeAnd please - don't forget the promise you had made. You know what they said about promises, right?' Nurse Olivia gave up trying to argue with Derek. She was damn convinced that the argument wasn't going to yield a
After spending ten minutes in the bathroom, Romeo stepped outside. At that time, he had already convinced himself that Nancy had gone for good. It was worse than a near-death experience for Romeo. He knew the wife he married and decided to act smart. He hadn't told her yet, and she was already acting like she would set the house ablaze. He can't imagine what will happen when he eventually does. "I just hope I can keep up with this lie for the next 6 months until I get my job back," Romeo prayed. He did a cross sign and went back to bed. The suspension at the station was somehow becoming a blessing in disguise for Romeo because he couldn't call the last time he had that long sleep. Let alone staying at home that long before. It wasn't too long when Romeo went to sleep, and he was already hearing some footsteps in his dream. He thought it was all a dream until he heard someone call his name. "Romeo!" The voice sounded like Nancy's. Instantly, Romeo tossed off the bed as fear grippe
It was just the first day without a Job, and Romeo's life hasn't remained the same anymore. There's a part of him that's missing from inside that he just can't fathom. He would roll to both sides of the bed like a snake due to frustration. He couldn't even summon the courage to tell his wife about the devastating news. He was scared that his wife might react badly to the news or do something crazy. He intends to keep the news to himself for the longest time possible until he's done helping Dexter get out of prison."Honey, I am off to work. I would also drop the kids at school on my way to work. If you ever feel hungry, your food is in the dining room. Love you!" Nancy, Romeo's wife, informed him. She kissed his forehead afterward.26 years of age, light-skinned, curly hair, and curved. They've been married for 10 years and blessed with 3 beautiful kids. Nancy was never supporting Romeo's decision to become a cop. She was scared that he might get shot to death on duty. As a gradua
"Hold on a second! I hope It's not what I am thinking that's running through your mind right now?" She freaked out. "I don't know what you think I'm thinking. But whatever it is, who knows? It might be a beautiful thing. Don't you think so?" Derek winked at Ciara and winked seductively. "Then you must be the biggest dreamer on earth. I don't see that happening. Just so you know, your dad and my Dad had arranged for your Brother, Dexter and I to be married," Like a rocket, Ciara launched the shocking news straight into Derek's heart."What the heck?" Derek exclaimed in shock and pulled over Immediately. "What are you doing? Why did you have to pull over like that? Were you trying to get us killed?""Have you agreed to get married to my brother?" Asked, Derek as he breathed heavily. He was lucky enough not to suffer a cardiac arrest. The news caught him aware. "Does it matter? I haven't arrived at my destination yet. Unless you want me to come down and start searching for a cab,"
