"I sincerely want to apologize in advance for asking this question because I know it's going to hurt you for real. Don't blame me, the curiosity is killing me slowly. It's about Dexter, though, "Doctor Escobar initiated the conversation. He paused to seek the approval of Kelly before proceeding to avoid sounding rude.

At the mention of Dexter's name, Kelly facepalms. "Oh no. Dexter again?" He knew that the name alone connotes chaos and drama. And Dexter is the last person Kelly wants to discuss just to avoid having another migraine.

"Go ahead with the question.

You got nothing to worry about," Kelly consented. It took him a couple of minutes to decide that. He was quite aware that it was a massive risk getting himself involved in Dexter's drama, yet he wasn't bothered.

"How's your friend, George coping with him? It must be very tough for him, isn't it? I can imagine the sleepless nights that Dexter is causing him. If I should be honest with you, I just can't even stand Dexter's presence for a second. One of us might end up being admitted to the hospital, and that person isn't me," Doctor Escobar tossed the question that had been lingering on his lips for too long shortly after Dexter's departure. Dexter might be gone, and Doctor Escobar could still feel the heat.

"Who you talking about?" Asked, Kelly. His body might be there, but his mind certainly wasn't. He wasn't even paying attention to what Doctor Escobar was saying.

"Of course, it's Dexter, Kelly. Don't pretend as though you don't know what I'm talking about," Doctor Escobar raged, transferring all his aggression at Kelly when he ought to be upset at Dexter for ruining his day.

"If that kid was my son, I would have dealt with him a long time ago. The fact that George appears to be cool while his son is a wild cat still surprises me. How's that even possible?" Doctor Escobar added. He seemed can't get over the drama that was caused by Dexter.

In his eight years as a medical practitioner, that's one of the craziest acts he's ever witnessed. He would rather not go through that phase again.

"Oh, you mean Dexter? Now I know what you are talking about. You should have made that clear from the onset." Kelly quickly regained his memory. He nodded his head in self-pity and said, "Let's just forget about Dexter. He's a different topic for another day. If I wish to start talking about him, we might as well spend the entire week discussing that,"

"Now that Dexter has gone.

Can we go see George now? We need to commence the treatment immediately," Kelly implored. That was the only thing he cared about.

He was grateful that Dexter had gone with his troubles. It's safe to say that Dexter was Kelly's biggest threat ever. He gave Kelly a run for his money.

"Absolutely! I can't wait to see that happen and discharge your friend. The earlier he gets discharged, the better for me because I've got a feeling that Dexter might show up here again to visit his Father. And when he does, I will be forced to take action," Doctor Escobar said. He spoke with fear.

It was obvious that the presence of Dexter traumatized Doctor Escobar to the point where he was still feeling Dexter's presence around his office.

Kelly knew about this. He could see the fear all written on Doctor Escobar's face.

For the sake of peace, Kelly decided not to speak about it.

"I will just head straight to my friend's ward. I am pretty sure he's been waiting for me to show up with his son. I can imagine the disappointment on his face when he hears that his so-called didn't even want to see him," Kelly said and walked away after appreciating the Doctor for sticking to plan.

Most doctors would have acted on Dexter's rage. However, Doctor Escobar's resilience and maturity made the difference.

Arriving at the entrance door for George's ward, Kelly laid back to panic. He thought of the perfect excuse to give why Dexter refused to show up. He didn't want to be the reason for another George's panic attack.

Kelly wasn't even that scared when Dexter was making those troubles. But today, he could feel his soul departing from his body.

Kelly spent a couple of minutes at the doorway, mauling over his next move, when he received a call from George. At that point, Kelly knew that his honeymoon of thinking was over.

He refused to answer the phone because he knew for sure that his voice might echo from the outside. Rather, he declined it.

Luckily for Kelly, his phone was on silent mode. It would have been different if the ringtone had played out.

"Why is Kelly not taking my calls? This wasn't the agreement we all had. Did Dexter suddenly change his mind about coming to the hospital? If Kelly knew he wasn't going to help out, why did he agree to this?" George lamented. His voice was so loud to the extent that Kelly could hear him from outside.

The sorrowful voice of George best explained his pathetic situation. It was a sign that the poor man was hurting deeply.

Without being told, Kelly quit playing games and walked inside the ward.

To his greatest surprise, Ciara was still seated in her blurry eyes. She was the first person who caught Kelly's attention.

Glancing at the wall clock hanging on the wall, Kelly could confirm that it was a few minutes past 9 pm.

He yelled at Ciara, "What are you still doing here? I thought I asked you to leave. Did you, for once, glance at the time? Because if you did, I wouldn't have found you here.

"Where are you expecting me to leave without you? Of course not. We came here together, and it was only an idea for me to wait for you. That's the only assurance that you were safe" Ciara defended herself for not leaving.

"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als

"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar

  • Married To My Enemy; Loved By His Brother   The Dialogue

"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a

Dexter struggled to keep up with Romeo's tempo. At the same time, he struggled to breathe properly. He hasn't seen anything like that before. The taunting from Romeo got into Dexter's head. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Dexter was quite aware of his numerous tortures in the hands of Jaguar and would rather not go back to that phase anymore. No one has ever inflicted so much pain on Dexter before since he was born. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y

  • Married To My Enemy; Loved By His Brother   Change Of Discomfort

"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this? You are taking too much time on something that isn't even worth that stress, and I don't like it. Are we going to spend the entire day talking about

Someone should please wake me up from the illusion before I go insane," Romeo said, slapping his chin to be certain he wasn't imagining things that aren't real. He still wasn't convinced about his decision yet. If Romeo was made to decide immediately without thinking about it, he would chose to walk away from the case just like every other cops. I don't wanna die," Dexter pleaded as hot tears rolled down his eyes. "You wanna be transferred to another cell? Now I see why you're being dealt with. What have you been
