"To be honest with you, you are not helping matters. You're making this more complicated than it already seems. How do I come in when you two won't stop arguing like kids?" Doctor Escobar raged. He just can't stay calm and watch George speak to him in that manner when the person he should be mad at is Kelly.

"Okay. I apologize for whatever I must have said wrong," George finally took the responsibility upon himself after seeing how devastated Doctor Escobar had become. That kind of rage might affect George's healing process because Doctor Escobar might be too distracted to even proceed with the treatment.

"All I am saying is, I need you around me more than anyone else. As we speak, you are the most important person in my life," George added.

Seeing how emotional George was becoming, Kelly forced himself into their conversation as he volunteered, "I guess I should go fetch Dexter. I made a mistake kicking him out. I shouldn't have done that,"

Looking around, George asked. "You talking to me or someone else in this ward? You need to be more specific next time to avoid such mixed up like this,"

"Is this supposed to be a joke? Are you now making fun of me in the presence of the doctor? For crying out loud, we are both grown men. Can't we stay united for a second? Is that too much to ask?" Kelly frowned. He thought bringing up the suggestion would help embrace peace. Unfortunately for him, he just worsened the situation.

"I see where you're headed with this, and I won't let that happen. Don't worry about going to get Dexter. I am sure your daughter is doing an impressive job already," George responded and took his eyes off Kelly immediately.

His major focus was Doctor Escobar. At that point, Kelly never mattered to him anymore.

"My daughter is doing a good Job? Under normal circumstances, I would have believed you. But guess what? My daughter isn't here at the moment. What does that tell you?"

"Nothing, Kelly.

Absolutely nothing," George fired back at Kelly, gnashing his teeth.

"This was all your fault, Kelly. If you hadn't kicked my son away like a piece of trash, we wouldn't have found ourselves in this complicated situation. Suddenly, you want to make it right? Damn you, Kelly. It's too late," George raked.

The veins around his neck region popped out after the outrageous, causing him to cough.

They all thought it was a joke until George kept coughing for minutes without a pause.

"Hold on, are you okay?" Kelly rushed to meet George regardless of their little misunderstanding.

"Don't just stand there and look. Fucking do something about this," Kelly charged Doctor Escobar, who was confused about his next move despite having his thermometer hang around his neck.

"Stay calm and let me think," he warded Kelly off and asked him to leave the ward.

"This is nothing but a mad joke. It can't be possible. Do you expect me to abandon my friend in a time like this?" Kelly argued. He was adamant to leave.

"You're still not getting it, are you?

I'm not asking you to abandon your friend. Would you rather stay and distract me, or you leave so I can save his life?" Doctor Escobar asked an important question that left Kelly thinking about his life.

"Kelly, please do listen to the doctor.

We don't have to argue over this," George pleaded with Kelly. The cough had stopped. However, he was still having some difficulty breathing properly.

"You heard your friend, didn't you?

What are you still waiting for?" Doctor Escobar took a jibe at Kelly to fuel the anger.

Walking out of the ward, Kelly walked back to Doctor Escobar in slow motion and said. "If anything bad happens to my Friend, you will be held accountable. Just do a clean Job," Kelly walked outside afterward.

"I apologize for what my friend did.

I am pretty sure he didn't mean it," George pleaded.

"Apologize?" Doctor Escobar laughed.

"I don't see any reason you should do that. Come on, what Kelly did was remarkable. It's rare to see friends like that. You should count yourself lucky for having him in your life," Doctor Escobar concluded with a smile that seemed forced.

"Thank you!

Can we proceed now?

I am afraid I might die in the next couple of minutes," George teased and they both laughed over it.

"That son of a bitch.

I was patiently waiting for him to say shit about me," Kelly groaned from outside after eavesdropping on their conversation. He might have exited the ward, but his soul was still with George.

If Doctor Escobar hadn't kicked him out, he would have stayed back to witness George being treated.

"I need to go find my daughter.

She hasn't shown up yet.

I don't trust Dexter around her.

What if he hurts her?" Kelly thought out loud. Since he has been prohibited from entering the ward, he figured this was the best time to go find Ciara.

"Please don't hurt me

I don't want to die," Ciara cried.

She wasn't able to figure out who was behind her. Neither was she brave enough to turn around and satisfy her curiosity.

"What are you talking about?

No one's hurting you,"

The person laughed. The voice sounded like Dexter's

"Is that you?"

Ciara asked.

Slowly, she turned her head around.

"Hell no. What did you just do?

You almost scared the living daylight out of me," Ciara freaked out like a ten-year-old after discovering that it was Dexter all along.

While Ciara frowned upon such a stunt, Dexter finds it quite hilarious as he mocked Ciara with wicked laughter.

He has fun playing the fast one on Ciara.

"I finally found you two.

What's going on here?"

Kelly emerged from nowhere like a ghost to create tension in the minds of Ciara and Dexter. They couldn't tell if he witnessed everything that happened or if he just showed up.

"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als

"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar

"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a

Dexter struggled to keep up with Romeo's tempo. At the same time, he struggled to breathe properly. He hasn't seen anything like that before. The taunting from Romeo got into Dexter's head. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Dexter was quite aware of his numerous tortures in the hands of Jaguar and would rather not go back to that phase anymore. No one has ever inflicted so much pain on Dexter before since he was born. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y

"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this? You are taking too much time on something that isn't even worth that stress, and I don't like it. Are we going to spend the entire day talking about

"What do you expect me to do about this now? I still can't believe that are seriously seeking for my help. Everything is still a dream to me. Someone should please wake me up from the illusion before I go insane," Romeo said, slapping his chin to be certain he wasn't imagining things that aren't real. He still wasn't convinced about his decision yet. If Romeo was made to decide immediately without thinking about it, he would chose to walk away from the case just like every other cops. Not for once did Romeo liked Dexter. These two has got a lot of history together. Thinking about the nastiest things that Dexter had done in the past is making Romeo have a second guess. "Please, take me to a new cell. I might end up dead once you leave. These guys are threatened to torture me to death. Please come to my rescue. I don't wanna die," Dexter pleaded as hot tears rolled down his eyes. "You wanna be transferred to another cell? Now I see why you're being dealt with. What have you been
