"Oh, so it's you again?" Kelly asked, after seeing Dexter at the doorstep. Now he knows the reason for Ciara's quietness.
"You still had the guts to show up here after everything that happened? Are you that cruel?" Kelly sparked outrageously.
"Is my Father inside?
I want to see him," Dexter requested with pride as he ignored Kelly's ratings. To Dexter, they weren't relevant to him.
Despite the trauma Dexter caused everyone, he refused to apologize to Kelly. He stood on his decision as though it were nobody's business.
"No, you're not seeing your Father. We don't know one to complicate his health issues further. I suggest you leave immediately and never return," Kelly replied and shut the door immediately. He couldn't even wait for Dexter to explain himself further.
From outside, Dexter laughed. "What was he thinking? I guess I should leave. I am not cut out for this,"
"Dad, what did you just do?
Why did you have to shut the door against him like that? In my honest opinion, that wasn't fair." Ciara cried. As much as she never liked Dexter, she still felt her father would have been a bit nicer in his approach. She wasn't pleased with the way she treated Dexter as though he were a total stranger.
"Who cares about him? I did nothing wrong. I only saved my friend from an impending storm. I bet he would be grateful when he gets to know what I did." Kelly hissed and went back to George who was curious to know what was happening.
"Who was that at the door? I couldn't get to hear what was discussed," George asked out of curiosity. He did hear Kelly speaking to someone, but he wasn't so certain whose voice was that.
Not just George, doctor Escobar was also anticipating Kelly's response. They want to know the person behind those disturbing knocks on the door. "Kelly, who was that?
I am surprised you haven't said a word about it yet,"
"That's because there's absolutely nothing to be discussed. It's irrelevant. Why are you all acting as though your lives depend on it? I thought we have one reason for being here? Let's just focus on restoring George's health," Kelly replied after a brief silence.
"That's a blatant lie from the pit of hell. It was Dexter, your son." Ciara chipped in and edged backwards because she knew it was only a matter of time before her father landed a slap on her chin for treason.
"Can you just shut the fuck up already? No one asked you to speak. I don't even know what you're still doing here. You ought to be at home," Kelly fumed.
"No, let her speak.
Don't silence her," George demanded. He was getting more interested in the conversation.
Narrowing his gaze at Ciara, he asked. "Was that really my son at the door? Why didn't your father say a word about it?"
"Yes, that was Dexter, your son. He requested to see you but guess what? My Father stopped that from happening. Can you believe that?
You needed to see how my Father kicked Dexter out like a prisoner," Ciara explained extensively. She added more information to spice up her story.
"Please go get him for me.
Can you?" George begged after a heavy sigh.
"Of course I will.
Please allow me a few minutes to get it done," Ciara obeyed and went away
Dexter might be a pain in the ass, but the love George got for him can't be traded for anything. Ironically, George prefers Dexter to Derek but the hate and hooliganism that dwells in Dexter blinds his eyes not to see that.
"Are you sure you really want to do this?" Kelly fumed as he opposed George's decision to summon Dexter.
"Can you even listen to yourself right now? Give me one reason I shouldn't summon Dexter. Do I need to remind you that he's my son?" George clapped back at Kelly. He was yet to understand what Kelly was advocating for.
"Your son?" Kelly scoffed.
"When did he suddenly become your son? I thought you never liked him? Where's this sudden affection coming from?" Kelly added.
"Ok. It's getting messier than I thought. I guess this is the time when I need to leave. I will be back when the drama dies off," Doctor Escobar said, as he made a move to leave.
"Even you?" George halted Doctor Escobar with a question that left him counting his teeth with his tongue.
"I don't understand what you're talking about," Escobar said, looking so confused. He had his gaze focused on the ceiling as though the answers he seeks were hiding there.
"What's difficult for you not to understand? Aren't you the goddamned doctor? If anyone needs to stay back, it's definitely you. I can't seem to fathom why you want to abandon me In this difficult phase,"

Ciara dashed outside, searching for Dexter, but the latter was nowhere to be found. She resisted the urge to scream for Dexter's name to avoid disturbing the people around.
Ciara thought about heading back to the ward and reporting her inability to find Dexter, but at the same time, she considered how disappointed George would get when she passed such information to him.
For that reason, Ciara waited and hoped that Dexter would walk past her.
Ciara wished she knew the car Dexter came with. That would enable know whether he has exited the hospital or not.
"I guess he's gone home already. He tried all he could to see his father. It's quite unfortunate that my father won't let him," Ciara bemoaned. She was already getting tired of waiting.
Just when she felt like giving up, someone patted her on the shoulder from behind.
It was a warm touch, enough to send tiny shivers down Ciara's spine.
"Who are you?"
Ciara asked with a shaky voice. She was close to peeing in her panties. She wanted the ground to swallow her.
At that moment, she lost her vocal cords. Neither was she able to run away because her legs were glued to the ground.
"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als
"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar
"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a
Dexter struggled to keep up with Romeo's tempo. At the same time, he struggled to breathe properly. He hasn't seen anything like that before. The taunting from Romeo got into Dexter's head. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Dexter was quite aware of his numerous tortures in the hands of Jaguar and would rather not go back to that phase anymore. No one has ever inflicted so much pain on Dexter before since he was born. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y
"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this? You are taking too much time on something that isn't even worth that stress, and I don't like it. Are we going to spend the entire day talking about
"What do you expect me to do about this now? I still can't believe that are seriously seeking for my help. Everything is still a dream to me. Someone should please wake me up from the illusion before I go insane," Romeo said, slapping his chin to be certain he wasn't imagining things that aren't real. He still wasn't convinced about his decision yet. If Romeo was made to decide immediately without thinking about it, he would chose to walk away from the case just like every other cops. Not for once did Romeo liked Dexter. These two has got a lot of history together. Thinking about the nastiest things that Dexter had done in the past is making Romeo have a second guess. "Please, take me to a new cell. I might end up dead once you leave. These guys are threatened to torture me to death. Please come to my rescue. I don't wanna die," Dexter pleaded as hot tears rolled down his eyes. "You wanna be transferred to another cell? Now I see why you're being dealt with. What have you been
