Romeo, The Tyrant

"You evil Bitch! 

How dare you lie to me? You made me believe that you had the phone. What the fuck were you thinking?" Romeo sparked outrageously. He lifted his hands and was about to hit Rhoda when Lucas quickly intervened and pulled him away..

"What has come over you, Romeo? Were you seriously gonna hit her? This was the same crime that got Dexter arrested. Do you intend to be locked up, too?" Lucas flared. 

Rhoda was already panicking. She was becoming uncomfortable inside the office. She hasn't witnessed Romeo reacting that way before. 

"I am sorry, Boss. 

But it was all her fault. Didn't you see what she did? She practically lied to me. Why did she have to do that?" Romeo continued to rant. He was uncontrollable. He still got his eyes on Rhoda. The only reason he hasn't punched her in the face was because of Lucas who wouldn't let him. 

"Why are you acting like a dog? I can't recall admitting that I had the phone. You the one making false assumptions that aren't real," Rhoda fired back just it felt like she was gonna back out. 

Her immediate response got on Romeo's last nerves and he lost his cool immediately. He retracted when he realized that Lucas was still with them. 

"I am sorry, Boss." Romeo apologized to Lucas after a salute.

The act that sat too well with Lucas. He wasn't impressed with Romeo's attitude as he wasted no time to condemn it. 

"Apology not accepted. It's Rhoda you should plead with and not me. The last time I checked, I wasn't the one you almost punched in the face," Lucas authorized as he put Romeo in a difficult situation where he gets to make the craziest decision ever

"But sir, she lied to me. She ridiculed me. She's supposed to apologize and not me," Romeo refused. He didn't waste any time disobeying Lucas. 

"Even if it means losing your Job? Do you wanna end up like Tony? What the heck am I saying? Of course you are already in his shoes," 

Lucas threatened Romeo, using Tony as an example because he knew how traumatizing Tony's situation made Romeo feel. 

"Fine! I will apologize to her" Romeo bowed to pressure. He knew that nothing could be done to change Lucas' mind. 

Leaning forward, Romeo whispered to Rhoda. "I am sorry. Please forgive me," 

He returned to Lucas and hoped that the latter would approve the apology. To his disappointment, Lucas waved it off.

Lucas wasted no time as he picked up the envelope that Romeo had been trying so hard to ignore.

The sight of the envelope scared Romeo to the point where he had to quickly apologize to Rhoda Immediately. Lucas knew that was Romeo's weakness. He didn't hesitate to use it immediately.

After the apology, Lucas was fulfilled and elated that he finally found something to use against Romeo should the latter start to misbehave.

"Can I leave now?

 I mean, since everything is sorted out already. Besides, this may allow you to have a spirited conversation with Rhoda," Romeo requested. He still feels some hatred towards Rhoda despite Lucas effort to bring the two together

"Sure! You can leave.

We discuss Dexter's situation later. You're not free yet," Lucas consented but Rhoda thinks otherwise. She pulled Romeo back the moment he was about to leave.

"You gotta stay.

You the reason I am here," Rhoda told Romeo to his face with full confidence. She didn't even consider the fact that Romeo nearly punched her in the face for the same attitude.

"I am the reason you are here? You gotta be kidding me. Get the fuck out of the way," Romeo flared up. He dared Rhoda to leave but she refused. One would think that it wasn't the same Rhoda that nearly peed in her panties when Romeo nearly punched her. 

"You think this is a joke, right? Watch this," Rhoda told Romeo and proceeded to shut the door and hid the keys inside her pocket.

Not just Romeo, Lucas was also confused and wondered what Rhoda was up to.

"Rhoda, what's the meaning of this madness? Why would you shut the door while I'm still here? Do you realize what you just did? That's the height of disrespect," Lucas cried. He stretches his hand, demanding to receive the keys from Rhoda. He spoke with so much authority to convey fear in the mind of Rhoda.

Despite his efforts, Rhoda didn't seem to be bothered. He maintained his stance and said to. "I am not giving anyone these keys to anyone until Romeo confess to us why he decided to move Dexter to another cell,"

"What?" Lucas screamed in utmost shock. "That's not possible. He can't even dare. There must be a mix up somewhere," Lucas continued to doubt Rhoda's claims. None of what she says made sense to him.

 "Can you prove what you just told me? Surely, you can't go about fabricating stories without proof , right?" Lucas demanded. The whole thing was starting to seem like a joke to him

What baffles Lucas was Rhoda's level of confidence. The pressure from Lucas was enough to make her lose focus already but she kept going like someone with a goal.

"Are you asking for proof? 

Why go that far when Romeo is here? I believe he is capable enough to provide the answers you need. I knew he was gonna escape, hence my reason for locking the door," Rhoda revealed.

All attention was focused on Romeo to defend himself. Rather than speaking to bail himself out, he buried his face to the ground in shame. He couldn't dare to look Lucas in the eye knowing he had screwed up already. 

"I am waiting for you, Romeo 

I don't need too much explanation from you. I just needed a simple response. Did you do it?" Lucas roared like a wounded lion.

That was the only time that Romeo has been brought in for questioning. Who predicted that Dexter would be the reason for Romeo's downfall?
