"What do you expect me to do about this now? I still can't believe that are seriously seeking for my help. Everything is still a dream to me.

Someone should please wake me up from the illusion before I go insane,"

Romeo said, slapping his chin to be certain he wasn't imagining things that aren't real. He still wasn't convinced about his decision yet.

If Romeo was made to decide immediately without thinking about it, he would chose to walk away from the case just like every other cops.

Not for once did Romeo liked Dexter. These two has got a lot of history together.

Thinking about the nastiest things that Dexter had done in the past is making Romeo have a second guess.

"Please, take me to a new cell. I might end up dead once you leave. These guys are threatened to torture me to death. Please come to my rescue. I don't wanna die," Dexter pleaded as hot tears rolled down his eyes.

"You wanna be transferred to another cell? Now I see why you're being dealt with. What have you been smoking lately? What makes you think that it's gonna be easy there? Do you think this is your father's mansion?" Asked, Romeo. He spoke to Dexter as though he's been waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Dexter was speechless.

The words from Romeo really got to him. He couldn't even move his lips to defend himself.

All he could say was, " I am sorry for my past deeds. Trust me, I've changed for good.

I know we both are more like sworn enemies. Right now, you are the only one that can get me out of this mess," Dexter cried like a baby. It was rather strange how the fearless Dexter suddenly became a weakling and banking on his foe for help.

"I can accept everything from you but believing that you've changed for good? I rather chew stone than believe that crap," Romeo doubted.

"Can you repeat what you said the last time your father came to bail you out?' Romeo asked, as he attempt to revisit the past

"That's in the past now. Can we please forget about it and concentrate on the present now?" Dexter bemoaned.

"Never!" Romeo roared with a loud voice.

"There's no way I'm letting that slide. Until I die, events from that day keeps playing in my head. Do you think it's easy to forget? You had the guts to mock my profession. As though that wasn't enough, you said I would die wretched. Do you know how that hurt?" Romeo cried.

He looked to the other side to dry his tears. He didn't wanna appear weak in front of Dexter.

He was already making progress to forget that eventful day but the moment Dexter was accompanied into the station by Lucas, it returned to his head again.

Dexter stopped pleading to be transferred. He gave up of ever coming out of the mess.

Deep down, he knew the consequences of his actions. He also came to the conclusion that no amount of plea would make Romeo change his mind. All he saw in front of him was a Man with a broken heart.

"I hope you enjoy your stay here. Good luck with your new roommate," Romeo said and walked away just like other cops.

Dexter was lost for words. He lost the energy to call for Romeo's return. He knew that he was fighting a lost battle was already planning on how to endure the beating coming his way.

Jaguar stood up, wearing a large smile. The departure of Romeo equally means flawless victory for him was Romeo was the only one that could have challenged him to stop torturing Dexter.

"I told you.

Once i begin with you, no one will be able to save you. I hope you do saw what happened?" He laughed mischievously.

Dexter felt emptiness inside of him. He might be alive, yet felt like a living corpse

"You own the floor now. Go do your thing," Jaguar ordered his boys.

As they raised their hands to launch heavy punches on Dexter, they heard a baritone voice, commanding them to stop.

"Stop right there.

Don't even dare," the voice ordered again, this time it got so loud and scary.

Dexter, whose eyes were shut quickly looked behind him and saw Romeo. The return of Romeo wasn't what Dexter had imagined. He didn't even know how to react about it.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were gonna already? We both had an agreement and you chose to breach it? How dare you?" Jaguar raged. That was the only time he ranted since Romeo showed up. He thought Romeo wasn't gonna show up anymore.

"Agreement?

What the heck are you talking about? Who signed the agreement between us? Because I can't seem to comprehend right now," Romeo clapped back at Jaguar.

Without wasting too much time, he unlocked the gate and instructed Dexter to come out.

Jaguar quickly pulled Dexter back. "I am not gonna let him leave. What do you think you're doing?"

"I should be asking you the same question, Jaguar. Have you gone nuts? Let him go", Romeo ordered.

"And what if I don't?"

Jaguar challenged him as his boys stood in front of him to form shield.

Leaning forward, Romeo quietly said. "You don't wanna mess with me. You know I don't give empty threats."

"Let him go," Jaguar ordered his boys. The threat from Romeo scared the living daylight out of him.

His boys groaned and expressed their dissatisfaction to his judgment. Some of them even argued that he acted like a coward while the others assumed that he was scared of Romeo.

Ignoring their ranting, Jaguar said to Dexter. "Lucky son of a bitch. I should have killed you when I had the chance," he pushed Dexter outside to the Point where Dexter nearly hit his head against the wall.

Dexter was unbothered by Jaguar's Gesture. He was just elated on his newly found freedom. That was the only thing that mattered to him.

"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als

"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar

  • Married To My Enemy; Loved By His Brother   The Dialogue

"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a

Dexter struggled to keep up with Romeo's tempo. At the same time, he struggled to breathe properly. He hasn't seen anything like that before. The taunting from Romeo got into Dexter's head. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Dexter was quite aware of his numerous tortures in the hands of Jaguar and would rather not go back to that phase anymore. No one has ever inflicted so much pain on Dexter before since he was born. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y

"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this?
