VICTOR

The wedding’s over, but it was kind of refreshing to see vampires and werewolves interact and have fun with each other at the wedding party. I did see some werewolves try not to have a disgusted look on their faces when they saw vampires drinking blood from a glass. It’s not something they’re used to.

That’s why a vampire, a witch and a werewolf created the school I went to, for different supernatural creatures to live in peace and harmony. Because humans are beginning to act up and are looking for ways to either use us or eradicate us.

People think that’s why this union happened, for peace. Which is mostly true, but the main reason has to do with me.

Sofia and I are escorted to our room after a long night of just sitting down and watching others dance and interact with one another. I’ve been looking at her all through out the night as she places her hand on the table with her chin resting on it.

Her beauty is truly beyond this world. Simon is a lucky bastard. I used to be so jealous of him. A prince jealous of a commoner because he’s with the love of his life is not something you see every day.

Sofia and I sit on the bed in her room, looking at nothing. People expect us to perform our marital duties because it’s tradition but that’s not going to happen because one, Sofia’s not a vampire and two, Sofia would rather slit her throat-or mine-than to touch me.

And also, I have somewhere else to be.

I look at the time, and yep, I’m most definitely not supposed to be here.

“Well, now that that’s over.” I get up. “I’m going to my room, goodnight.” I head toward the door.

“What are you planning?” she asks, and I stop in my tracks because that’s really the most she’s said all night.

I turn around to face her. “What?” I ask.

“You heard me?” she rises.  “What are you planning. Because I know for a fact you planned this. What do you want to do to make my life more miserable?”

“Oh, come on, Santos, don’t be stupid. Not everything’s about you.”

“But it is. Everything is about me because I have been forced to dump my boyfriend to get married to you for the sake of ‘union,” she drops her air quotes. “Your father literally threatened to kill my boyfriend if I didn’t get married to you.”

My face drops because it all makes sense now. The Sofia I know would have found a way to escape.

“He did what?” It’s a typical thing for my father to do, so I shouldn’t be surprised.

“Oh, please stop acting like you didn’t know.”

I genuinely didn’t know about this.

But it’s no use trying to explain things to her, she’s made up her mind about me, and I don’t blame her.

“You don’t even want to be in the same room with me. Do you hate me that badly?”

“I thought-” I lower my voice because I realised I’m yelling. “I thought you didn’t want me to be in the same room as you.”

“Yes, you’re right so go!”

“Fine! I’ll go!” I yell angrily.

“Good!” I shake my head, and I storm out the door.

“Go look for someone else’s life to ruin!” I hear her shout, and I feel something hit the door. She just threw something at it. Fuck she’s so pissed, because I can hear her heart beating at a rapid pace, damn. Not that I blame her.

I stay by the door, and I rest my head on it. It wasn’t my intention to yell at her. God, at this rate, she’s not going to ever fall in love with me, and I’ll be stuck in this position forever.

“There you are!” I shake when I hear the sound of my dad’s voice. I remove my head from the door, and I walk toward him. “What’s your plan, boy? For her to see you come along.” I follow my dad and the guards downstairs, and we head over to one of the dungeons. That’s where I sleep every night.

I want to bring up the fact that he threatened Simon, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much time for that, and I know for a fact that that’s exactly what he’s going to say.

If I sleep in one of the main rooms, I might just kill everyone.

I get into one of the dungeons, and I begin to undress. That’s what I get for being an arrogant prick. I get turned into a beast, and funny enough, the person who’s supposed to break the spell, I treated her like shit.

“She’ll fall in love with you in no time,” Dad says as I undress. I’m butt naked in the dungeon, and the guards chain me up. I’ve been living like this for five years now. I should be used to it but I don’t think I can be able to get used to something like this.

“The curse will be broken, and you’ll get back to normal.” My dad walks over to the bars and holds them.

“You threatened to kill her boyfriend,” I mutter, and he hears me.

“I had to, for you.”

"For you or for your image, you don’t want the world knowing your son was cursed by a witch for his arrogance.”

“No, son, that is not it. All this is for you, to help you. I don’t know why it has to be her specifically, but I can tell that this girl is special, and it’s not just due to the fact she can’t shift, there’s something else about her that I can’t place.”

Tell me about it. I've been trying to figure her out but to no avail. She’s special, now that I know.

“Son, look at me.” I look at him. “We’re almost there. All you have to do is make her fall in love with you, and the curse will be broken. Okay? It will all be worth it soon.”

I nod my head because that seems like a hard yet solid plan.

I groan, and then I step backwards.

So the pain begins.

“It’s going to be okay, son.”

My bones begin to break, my kneecaps shatter. I can feel myself turning into the beast I was cursed to be.

By day, I’m a handsome prince, everyone knows and loves, and by night, I turn into a large bat-like creature who was made to kill, and if Sofia finds this other side of me, she’s going to run away for sure, and she won’t care if my father kills her precious boyfriend or not.

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Sixty Four: Bury A Friend

SOFIAAnd they lower my friend and her father and sister down to the ground and they bury her, finally sending her off to the spirit world where she will not be hurt anymore. My arms are around Miriam’s as she cries and so do I but it’s not as loud as Miriam’s. Losing her mate and her daughters feels like a stab on the chest. I feel so bad for her right now. The air is filled with nothing but sorrow and sadness and it’s not because we’re in a cemetery. The whole kingdom is drenched in sadness and misery and I don’t think that’s fair. Drakorya should be free from all this chaos. And things have to be done as swiftly as possible, people have shed tears enough. The funeral is over, and some people linger to comfort Miriam and her children and they leave, some are talking with the king about if there’s anything they can do about those rogue vampires and I spot Victor trying to comfort Chris, and something isn’t wrong there. I’m going to have to check in later. “Thank you so much Pete

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Sixty Three: The Dead Must Be Mourned

VICTORSaint Vladimir the leader of the church starts speaking and everyone looks attentive, the whole room is full of grief and sorrows nothing enthusiastic and happy about this gathering. Considering the fact that so many lives were lost. There are more funerals in this kingdom now than there are celebrations of whatever is supposed to be celebrated and I think it’s very sad. I have gone through a trial like this before, the moment I realized that I was cursed at eighteen, my mother would sleep in the prison cell with me every night, dad didn’t like it because his needs weren’t being met and mom did not care. Unlike dad she didn’t care if people found out, yes she was scared people would find out but not because of the Dragomire reputation but because she was scared that I might be killed by people who do not like Rogarue vampires at all. When she died I was more miserable and I felt so depressed that I couldn’t pain or do any artwork, I couldn’t do anything. Being in this place

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Sixty Two: Beauty In Black

SOFIAI’m wearing a floor-length, gothic-style black ballgown. A high illusion neckline with sheer, sheer-to-lace paneling and intricate floral lace applique detailing flowing down through fitted bodice. Long, sheer/mesh dramatic bell sleeves trimmed with detailed lace along the wide cuffs.A voluminous full A-line ball gown skirt covered in dark lace embroidery patterns running vertically down the fabric toward an ornate scalloped hem. It’s a dark and gloomy of course Drakorya is always dark and gloomy and I’ve gotten used to it but there is today is different. I will be going to the funerals of people who didn’t do anything to anyone. People who didn’t deserve to be killed. I look at myself in the mirror and I expect Lissa to give me a compliment on how nice I look. But she’s not here, she’s dead, was killed because of a stupid corny ass rebellion. I’m not even sad anymore. I’m more pissed off. I want something to be done immediately. Those people have to be caught and punished.

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Sixty One: A Work Of Art

VICTORMy father and I just stare at Sofia while Sofia just stares at her hands and then at the wall. She’s just ass confused as us and from the looks of things I don’t think she knows what she did or she meant anything by it. “Young lady, what did you do?” My father asks her, this is the first time I’m seeing my dad look this shocked since I turned into a Rogarue for the first time. “I didn’t- I didn’t do anything, she just touched me and that happened.” Sofia says. And I believe her, she looks like she doesn't know what happened. None of us really do. “Are you sure?” My father asks. “Because that was a gnarly punch. “Dad, it wasn’t a punch, you saw the light.” “But I don’t understand, does light usually flash when werewolves attack people?”“No.” Sofia say. “And I didn’t attack her.” she faces my father angrily and she seems to be the only person around her who actually stands up to him and I am impressed but also envious because I can barely do that. It was because of her tha

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Sixty: Conversations With A Fabulous Witch

SOFIAI don’t know why I was expecting a wrinkly old lady wearing a black cloak; maybe it’s because I used to read too many novels where they portray seers as old and wrinkly women who wear cloaks and talk all weird. But no, this woman is nothing but the opposite; she’s young, in her late forties. She dresses so beautifully. She’s a walking model. I love women who know how to take care of themselves and who know how to dress; they have my utmost respect, and as for this lady, she doesn’t look like someone who goes out of style. “We were just about to send for you. We got word from the guards and Victor that he’s still cursed despite you two sharing a kiss.” The king says. I look at Victor, and he just stands there like a little boy getting scolded. He looks embarrassed. I don’t blame him; he might be wearing clothes right now, but I’m pretty sure he feels exposed. Gods, I hate his father so much; he doesn’t care about breaking the curse; he only cares that people don’t find out wha

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Fifty Nine: Crushes

SOFIA Chris and I are done with breakfast, and we’re headed to his father’s office to have a conversation on what is going to be done about this rogue issue and to see if I can have a conversation with the witch who predicted the curse being broken by and act of true love. I still can’t get the image of what happened yesterday out of my head; it was horrific, horrible. It felt like I was in a living nightmare. That was also one of the reasons why I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t handle the fact that I was going to see what happened in that village. The last thing I need is more rogue vampires attacking or causing more trouble, and yes, I’m talking about those witches who hexed me. Actually, I do want them to come looking for trouble. Because I so can’t wait to stop the hex and stop them. I don’t know what the globe is going to do really; all I know is that it’s meant to stop the hex. I genuinely can’t wait to see what it’s going to do. “So he cried,” Chris asks, looking worried about

  • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   Twenty Two: Physical Touch

VICTORShe doesn’t want to be friends, and honestly, it hurts; it hurts me to see the impact I left on her. I really hurt her, and I made her hate me. I guess I deserve this. I deserve this for being an evil, arrogant dog. I do deserve to be cursed.I don’t know if Sofia will ever warm up to me or r

SOFIAAs soon as I awake, I’m being rushed into the bathroom to get ready for a wedding I never wanted to have. • Married To The Arrogant Vampire Prince   One: The Runaway Bride

SOFIA If you had told me that my parents were about to force me to get married to a vampire, I would have said you were lying, because that statement is too ridiculous for it to actually hold some truth.I’d say: in no world would my werewolf parents force me to marry the vampire crowned prince of
