Chapter 15

It was four by morning and there was darkness all around. There was no way Elaine had met sleep in her way for the whole night. She was having thousands of thoughts crossing her mind and at last she made up her mind all by herself only to leave.

After pacing in the room for long enough, Elaine packed her bags. As she didn’t unpack, there wasn’t much to pack actually for what she felt thankful.

When she was done, she stood near the window and kept looking outside through the glass. When the thickness of darkness seemed to be somewhat reducing, Elaine tiptoed out of the guestroom with her bags pulling behind. She was trying hard not to make the slightest of sound that would wake Cannon up.

She stumbled for a few times but balanced herself before kissing the floor and looked at the door of Cannon’s room. It remained closed anyway.

He must be sleeping now and before he wakes up, I will be gone.
